Nobilis of War -
Chapter 1307 Ready To Fight
Every time the news of Archean creatures broke out, crowds of people would scour the land to go and replace them. All of them wanted to feel the power of the Archean creatures. They knew that capturing an Archean Beast would reap massive benefits for them.
This time, there seemed to be an Archean creature in the Tussle Region. If the news spread to the outside regions, their strong warriors were sure to rush over. Even Lord Starry Sword himself would probably make an appearance.
Naturally, the news had to be contained in order to prevent chaos. Only the most powerful people in the Tussle Region would know about it.
"It's about time."
Akbar observed the top of the mountain for several hours and found that the cracks on the ball were increasing. He was ready for battle.
"Why not wait?" Darren responded.
"There's no time to fret. If we get there too late, we won't stand a chance." Akbar was visibly anxious.
"Wait, didn't you say that the strength of those people are pretty much the same? Just let them all scramble for it, then. It won't take too much time for them to realize they can't capture it. What if it's stronger than a superior god? It would be too dangerous to act rashly.
Let them try and kill each other off first. The chances of obtaining it will be higher after that," advised Darren.
"Ha-ha." Akbar shook his head and with a soft chuckle, he said, "Darren, you are indeed a youngster. Don't try to pull any tricks here. You're going to make me look bad. All of those people in that crowd have lived for millions of years. Do you really think they'd just let you dupe them?
If I don't go over there and play fairly, even if they do injure each other, they'll gang up on me the moment I get in. That would be the proper punishment for a nasty opportunist."
Hearing this, Darren was stunned for a moment, and gave a bitter smile.
"I guess I'm overthinking this. You're right; it's useless to play tricks on the really strong warriors. I must look really stupid right now," said Darren.
"It's good that you understand. I'll be on my way now."
Akbar then soared into the air.
"Be careful! You'd better escape quickly if you don't manage to get it!" Darren shouted from behind.
"I know what I'm doing," replied Akbar.
Darren felt his heart tighten, as if someone had grabbed on to it. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Akbar.
"I guess even great masters at the Superior God Realm have great troubles," said Darren with a sigh.
"Darren, what should we do now? If a fight breaks down over there, it's absolutely not safe for us to stay here. Even just the collision waves might be enough to kill us," said Lindsay with a worried look. "That's true. We have to fall back at least a million kilometers to be safe," stated Darren.
"But if that's the case, we'll miss seeing the birth of the Archean Beast, and we won't see the battle at all. More importantly, I won't be able to keep my eye on Lord Akbar. I'm really worried about him," said Murphy.
"How about this? We can hide in my space. As long as we aren't hit head on, the space won't break. We can stay safe while we watch the nearby battle," suggested Lindsay.
"Your space?" Darren turned around and gave her a concerned look. After a moment he said, "Is your space strong enough to hold that? Don't forget, the fiend prince broke through your space." "That's different! Given my strength level, only the entrance of the space is weak. But the rest of the space can absolutely withstand the attack from the superior gods," she explained.
"That's not a very good idea. The dispersed forces are going to be on all directions. The entrance to your space has a high chance of getting hit and by then we'll all die," said Darren in fervent disagreement.
"You don't understand. If the entrance is under the control of Master Murphy, the entrance will be secured. The dispersed forces from the fight won't be able to break through." Lindsay had a look of confidence with the bright smile she showed.
"Really? Are you sure?" Darren asked, with his eyes lighting up.
"Of course, I wouldn't put my life at risk just like that."
"Well. Master Murphy, it seems that we may have to trouble you."
"Okay! I also want to see the fights between those superior gods. Maybe I can learn something from them." Prior to the conversation, Murphy was already set on staying.
"It's settled then. I'll give you the formula to control the entrance. Come on, let's go inside." As she spoke, Lindsay started to usher everyone in.
When they were about to enter the space, Finley stood his ground sitting in the cave.
Lindsay noticed this and kicked Finley angrily. "Hey, are you coming in or not?"
Finley opened his eyes slowly and glared icily back at Lindsay.
"Fine. Let's go." Finley's voice was cold and he didn't make any eye contact with Lindsay as he hoisted himself up. If it were anything like before, he would have fixed his eyes on her. "It seems like someone owes you a lot of treasures, huh?" she chimed in sarcastically.
In reply, Finley made a half-hearted smile back at her.
Lindsay was taken aback by this and wondered, 'What's wrong with him? Is he actually angry? Or is he playing hard to get, so that I'll notice him more?'
"Come on. Let's go," urged Darren.
"Okay, okay, here we go." Once Lindsay snapped out of her thoughts, she finally ushered them in.
In this space, through her use of force of control, they could still sense what was happening outside with their gods' senses, as if they were watching in person.
There was a crowd surrounding the ball.
Akbar found a good place to stand amongst the droves of people.
The other superior gods remained calm about the appearance of Akbar because they had known that he had been there since a long time ago.
The number of cracks on the ball only increased as they all watched. It was likely to blow up at any moment.
The man, known as the Tussle Fighting God, announced indifferently, keeping his gaze straight ahead, "Akbar, you don't seem to be at our level. It would be better that you not get involved in what's going on here."
"Are you asking out of concern? Or are you just looking down on me?" Akbar spat back, his voice was filled with the power of nature.
"What do you think?" A trace of contempt flashed through the Tussle Fighting God's eyes. Of course he meant the latter.
The corners of Akbar's mouth twitched in annoyance. He said nothing in reply and stood calmly with his eyes closed, as if he were merely resting.
The man named Trevor Fang, looked at the Tussle Fighting God and said, "Little guy, you're much too arrogant."
"Oh, you're right about that. I've been arrogant for a million years, and I've always been so. You seem to have me all figured out, bastard," the Tussle Fighting God spat back.
"Don't you know that arrogant people all die early? Pretty sure you'll be dead soon," retorted Trevor Fang.
"Let's just wait and see." The Tussle Fighting God closed his eyes and stood there without another word.
The rest of them remained motionless and didn't make any noises, as if they were all corpses.
Crack!
Two hours later, an extremely subtle and light sound rang out, but to them, who'd been waiting for a long time in silence, it sounded like a raging thunder in their ears. The shell started to fall apart.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
