Nobilis of War
Chapter 1332 Be Taken Hostage (Part One)

Darren clearly knew that he didn't stand a chance against a cultivator at the middle-level of the Celestial God Realm.

The Beast-subduing Tripod had enabled him to defeat a beast at the low-level of the Celestial God Realm. However, he wouldn't be able to use it against human cultivators because they were immune to the god's power amplified by the tripod.

Currently, Darren was just at the low-level of the Star God Realm, though he could bring down warriors up to the top level of the Star God Realm. If he couldn't even beat a warrior at the low-level of the Celestial God Realm, then how much more when it was someone at the middle-level of the Celestial God Realm?

"Let go of Weber!" Darren said firmly.

"No, Father. We can't just let him go. If we kill that arrogant bastard, I'm sure that this fat guy will make trouble for us in the future. He will definitely seek to avenge his friend," Dario explained. For a while, Leroy thought about what his son said.

He realized that Dario made a good point. Weber was even willing to sacrifice his own life just to save Darren. They must have a tight relationship for him to do so.

If they killed Darren then released Weber, he would certainly replace an opportunity in the future to get back at them. If that happened, it would cause huge trouble for them and their entire sect. "Humph! If that's the case, both of you are going nowhere!"

Leroy carefully ran his plan in his mind. If they killed Weber, there was still a possibility that it wouldn't be traced back to him, as long as they made appropriate actions. However, if they let him go, Leroy could already see the impending doom of his sect.

"Ha-ha! That's right! Let's punish the both of them!" Dario laughed maniacally. He felt so good that he could finally get his revenge after all the suffering that he had to go through.

"Oh, right! By the way, Father, that guy also took away the Piercing Spirit Bow!"

The Piercing Spirit Bow was the most powerful and prized divine weapon of the Nine Mysterious Sect. Leroy only agreed to entrust it to his son because he was worried about his safety. He didn't expect that it was also stolen all along.

"You! Hand it over!" Leroy's face quickly darkened. He knew how precious this treasure was to his sect. Even their ancestors valued it very much. It would tarnish his reputation if word got out that it was lost under his leadership.

"Ha! You're already determined to kill us anyway. Why should I still give it back to you?" Darren taunted. What they didn't know was that he had already dismantled the divine weapon.

"You still dare to be this arrogant even though you know your position, huh? Let me tell you that death isn't the most painful thing. And I'll let you know why!"

Leroy suddenly raised his hand and unleashed a tremendous force. It swiftly landed and crushed Darren's left arm into pieces.

However, Darren just gritted his teeth and kept his mouth shut. Despite the excruciating pain, he wouldn't let them have the pleasure of hearing him scream in agony.

"Ha-ha! What a tough guy! You managed to keep silent while I crushed your arm?" Leroy was actually impressed.

"Is that all? You old bastard! Do better! I've been through everything so give it your best shot!" Darren raised his head and showed extreme persistence in his fearless eyes. "Father, this method is not enough to break his spirit." Dario wasn't the least satisfied with it. He thought that even he could endure the pain of having a broken arm.

"Don't worry. I'm prepared for something like this."

Leroy laughed hideously as he took out a purple box.

"What's inside it?"

Then, Leroy opened the box and both of them saw several worms squirming inside.

"Ah! The Soul Assimilating Bugs!"

Upon seeing them, Dario had a huge grin on his face. The Soul Assimilating Bugs were specifically used by his sect to deal with traitors. He didn't expect that his father had brought them here with him. These bugs could devour one's God Character, and the pain that he would experience was even more terrifying than torturing his soul.

"Now, go ahead. Punish that man," Leroy whispered, and these disgusting bugs directly flew towards Darren's head.

They only had one target-Darren's God Character.

As they swarmed towards him, Darren observed these bugs and his God Character carefully with his spiritual sense. "Is it really supposed to be painless?"

Darren could clearly see that the bugs were biting on his God Character viciously, but he didn't feel any pain.

However, Darren quickly realized that he couldn't let them know that he wasn't affected by the Soul Assimilating Bugs. The moment they knew that he wasn't experiencing any pain, they would become very furious that they might instantly kill him.

Therefore, Darren started acting like he was in a lot of pain and even fell down to the ground.

He contorted his face and writhed in agony. He rolled back and forth on the ground and acted convincingly.

"Argh!" He even screamed, and looked extremely miserable.

"Darren..." Weber was at a loss for words as he witnessed this scene. He could just imagine the excruciating pain of having his God Character gnashed and ripped apart.

"Ha-ha! That's more like it!" Dario also landed on the ground and admired this scene up close.

"Isn't it a wonderful gift? Take time to enjoy the pain. After all, it's the last thing you'll feel before you die! Let's see... How about we torture you for a month first?" Dario didn't have the slightest intention of letting Darren die swiftly. He had been tortured for more than a month before, so he would like for Darren to experience something worse than that.000000
