Omega Lost -
Chapter 15
**Sebastian**
"Okay." The agreement is weak but Aria gives her a reassuring smile.
We reach the top floor where my apartment is and I lead her out with my hand at the dip of her back. I can't let her go yet. She doesn't seem like she's in a hurry to get away either so I let myself indulge in this moment. "You can rest here," I tell her leading her over to the couch, but she stops short.
I watch her eyes widen as she takes in the full view of my apartment.
"Sorry, it's not as homey as my house at the pack. I usually only stay here if I have to. So I never bothered to do much with it." I try to explain.
She turns her head to look at me. "I-it's beautiful. I-I can't stay here." She takes a step back forcing me to drop my hand from her back.
I glance at Aria and beg her with my eyes to do something. She nods.
"You said I could look at Eli to make sure he's okay. Remember?" She says to the woman.
That stops her from slowly backing toward the elevator. She wouldn't be able to get on it without my help anyway, but I would have let her go. I won't keep her prisoner here no matter how much I want to have her with me. I'm not like other Alphas, and that won't change.
"Oh. Yeah..." The woman glances down at the pup in her arms for a second and I feel like I can hear her mind racing.
"It won't take long and you can hold him the whole time. I promise." Aria says.
The woman lifts her eyes and moves them between us. She hesitates but eventually nods and steps closer to Aria. "Just take a seat and I'll get my bag." She says pointing to the couch.
The woman nods and slowly moves over to the couch gingerly sitting on the edge like she's afraid to get comfortable. I watch her every move and try my hardest not to run over and wrap her in my arms so I can breathe her in. She smells like coconut and melon. It's sweet but subtle and the best thing I have ever smelt. Her eyes flit around the room some more and while her attention is focused elsewhere I move a little closer and sit at the far end of the couch putting as much space between us as possible.
"Can I ask you something?" I say as quietly as possible.
Her head snaps to me and her eyes roam over my face.
"Okay." She says softly.
"What's your name?"
She doesn't say anything right away but I give her a small smile that I hope is reassuring and she finally speaks.
"Elena."
"Elena..." I repeat and watch as she shivers.
I have an effect on her just like she does me, but I don't point it out...not yet. If she is going to stay I need her to trust me and that means not being too pushy with her. I don't want her to run away from me.
"That's a beautiful name," I tell her and notice a slight pink color appear on her cheeks.
"Thank you. And your's?" She asks sweetly.
"Sebastian Young, Alpha of the Young pack," I tell her proudly.
She nods. "You were going to the Omega School when I saw you."
I'm surprised by her bringing that up since it had been such a short moment between us, but I sense a small bit of hurt in her voice.
"I was. I'm young but I recently became Alpha after my father's death and an Alpha without an Omega looks weak." I admit. "My beta and his wife suggested it, but I never made it. Not after...not after I saw you. I started feeling this pain..." Her eyes widen. "I felt it too!" She blurts out making me smile. "Until...until I saw you."
I nod. "Same."
"What does that mean?" She asks.
"I'm not sure yet, but Aria thinks she has an idea. It doesn't matter though...I just want to help you if you let me." I quickly add.
She watches me as if she's wondering if I can be trusted. I want to do everything I can to prove that I can be because I can't let her go. Not without a fight.
"Okay, here we go." Aria interrupts us by walking over to the couch and sitting next to Elena. "Can you turn a little more so I can get a better look at him?"
Elena loosens her hold just a little and the pup leaps out of her arms.
"Eli!" She calls out but the pup moves right over to Aria and climbs into her lap.
She laughs and runs a hand down his back. "Aren't you friendly. Alright be good and let me look at you."
Aria gives him a quick once over while Elena watches on. All the while I watch her. I can't take my eyes off her. She has soft skin, these hazel eyes that look like they're caught between brown and almost green, and her hair is long and dark. She's absolutely beautiful.
"Elena," I say her name and her attention returns to me. "Why were you in the alley? I've never seen you around here before."
She swallows and looks down at her lap. "I was running away."
"From who?" I ask my spine straightening at the thought of her in danger.
She looks at me as if she wants to tell me everything but holds back. "I can't say. It's too dangerous, but I can't let them replace me." Her voice and body language becomes tense and slightly panicked.
"Hey, don't worry. We'll keep you safe. You said the pain is gone when you're near me?"
She nods.
"Then let me take you back to our pack. Our security is a lot tighter there. You will be completely safe." I all but beg her.
"He's right. There will be more space for Eli to run around and other pups he can play with as well." Aria adds.
Elena looks between us and shakes her head. "I can't. This is too much."
I take a chance and slide closer to her taking her hand in mine and giving it a reassuring squeeze. "It's not. I won't let you guys go back to that alley, and if someone is after you being around a pack is the best option." Her eyes look pleading. "I..."
"Please." I lift her hand and hold it against my chest.
She looks conflicted but when the pup walks over climbing into her lap and looking up at her she relaxes. It's as if they have a silent conversation and he's begging her to come with us. I like the little guy already. She sighs and gives him a smile.
"Okay. For you little one." She says leaning down and kissing the tip of his nose.
He nips at her playfully making her laugh, and a part of me aches to hear that sound for the rest of my life. It's melodic and beautiful just like her. When she looks at me again I fight the goofy smile that whole interaction just created off my face. "Okay. Thank you. I don't know how I will repay you." She says.
I shake my head. "You don't have to repay me for something I am freely giving. I will never ask anything from you...except for you letting me take care of you."
She tilts her head in a way that's fucking adorable. "Why? Why do you want to help me?"
Aria takes over. "Because fate brought you to us, and I never think it's a good idea to go against fate."
Elena nods. "Okay. We'll go with you. Thank you...so much."
"You never have to thank me," I tell her and I mean it.
Everything I have and am is already her's. The second our eyes met everything I am became her's. Everything.
"First, let's get you two cleaned up and I'll grab something for you to wear. You're probably a little smaller than me, but we can replace you something your size when we get you back home." Aria says standing and tilting her head to signal for Elena to follow her.
I'm reluctant to let her hand go, but I do. She stands and follows Aria to the other side of the apartment. I stand and head to my bedroom to pack up my stuff. While I do that I call my mom.
"Hello sweetie are you finally feeling better?" She asks right away.
"I am, and I'm coming home. But...not alone." I add before she can say anything.
She gasps. "You found her? The Omega you want?"
I smile to myself. "I have and she's perfect mom, but...she's in trouble. Someone is after her, and she has a pup."
There is a short silence. "Mom."
"Bring her home Seb, and we will welcome her. No matter what." She says and I let out a breath of relief.
I'm taking her home...
