Omega Lost -
Chapter 43
**Elena**
Before I can explain to this woman who I am the door to the office opens and Miles of all people walks in. He stops a few feet in and looks between us. He must see something on my face because his brow furrows and he focuses his attention on the woman. "What's going on here?" He asks.
"I was just asking this lady the same question. She was just sitting in here and-"
"That lady is Sebastian's fiance. I would suggest you treat her with as much respect as you would treat him. That is if you hope to keep your job." Miles warns her.
Her mouth opens and closes a few times before she nods and leaves the room. She does look back and gives me a look that says she is not done with me yet. I'm a little worried.
"Sorry about that. She takes her job a little too seriously. I'll make sure to mention this to Seb when he comes back. Anyway, I found something that I think is going to answer a lot of questions. Some I hadn't even considered asking." He says before taking a seat across from me and pulling out his own computer.
"Like what?" I ask fully invested in the possibilities of answers.
"Well, the money trail led me to a few shell corporations." He looks at me and I give him a confused look. "Right. They're like fake companies that don't actually exist. People use them to make it look like they are moving money legally when in reality they're not. So it's difficult to track where the money goes. Usually, but I was able to replace enough evidence to tell us what has been going on and this is going to blow your minds." He sounds excited about this, and I'm starting to feel the same.
Just in time Sebastian comes in and greets me with a smile that melts my insides. He notices miles a second later and his smile falls a little.
"Miles? Did you replace something already?" He asks joining us and taking a seat next to me.
"I had a few programs working at once to help cut my time in half. Your father was pretty good at hiding his tracks but at some point, someone made a mistake. They transferred payment to a company that I discovered is connected to one of the main Omega School locations. Specifically to its founder. It was a lot of money. Far more than what Elena had found which leads me to believe it might be for a specific reason. So I did a little research and a lot of illegal hacking and found something else." He opens a window on his computer and turns it to us.
Sebastian leans closer and I watch him as he reads. A few seconds later his head snaps up and he gives Miles a surprised look.
"Is this real? I mean...fuck...I know it's real but my father knew about this?"
"Apparently. I doubt someone in his company was doing all this without his knowledge." Miles says.
"What?" I ask.
"The man who founded the Omega School also owns a genetics program that has been investigated for illegal testing. According to a source, they were experimenting with designation trying to make sure more Omegas were born. Nothing came from the investigation but if he started the Omega Schools..."
"Not started but bought them and took over," Miles adds. "If he has access to all those Omegas then-"
"The basement. That has to be what they were doing to all those girls. They were trying to make sure more Omegas were born! Oh my god." I stand and start to pace. "This doesn't make sense. If the Omegas are being paired off with Alpha when they come of age why would they do this?"
"Naturally born Omegas numbers have been low. For some reason, there are just not many born anymore. Which is a huge problem obviously, plus there is a lot of money coming in from all sorts of people. What else I found interesting is the same man owns a company that collects and preserves sperm and egg donations. Which means he might have even tried to use surrogates to carry fertilized eggs in hopes of producing an Omega child." Miles goes on.
It sounds like a lot of 'what ifs'. "Do you have enough proof to punish these men?"
Miles smiles and something in it tells me he does. "I sure do. I have enough to bring up a case against them. But there is something I want to do first. Elena, you said you were drawn to Eli right away, right? You felt protective of him." I nod. "Yeah, I couldn't leave him in that room I found him in. It felt...wrong."
"You also said they had a doctor there that treated you. Did procedures and stuff, right?" He goes on.
"Yes. Do you think?"
He nods. "I think they must be using those procedures as a way to collect the eggs of the Omegas for experimentation. Then all they would need were Alphas to donate as well. What if, Eli is really yours?" "Really?" A thrill and hope go through me simultaneously
"It's a hunch. If you're willing to do a test we can replace out."
"Of course, but that doesn't change anything. He is mine no matter what." I say firmly.
"Ours. No test will say otherwise." Sebastian adds.
Warmth fills me at the finality of his words. Even if Eli is the product of mine and some Alpha I have ever met's donation he doesn't care.
"You're right it doesn't matter, but it sure would help. If I can subpoena the documents for all of these companies then we can put a close to all of this once and for all." Miles looks as determined as Sebastian does. "Won't they shut down the Omega Schools?" I ask.
He shrugs. "There may be decent people willing to take over and turn the schools into some kind of safe space for Omegas to learn if they wish to. We can cross that bridge when we come to it. First, let's take these greedy bastards down." That's exactly what he does. The following months are full of legal loopholes and difficulties at every turn, but somehow Miles manages to destroy the men and women involved in violating Omegas. Unfortunately, no one wanted to touch the schools after. So Sebastian and I created the Omega Sanctuary, a place where Omegas could go for anything they could need. More locations are being built every month and Omegas finally have a place of their own where they never have to worry again.
Miles ended up running the test on Eli and me. It turns out that my eggs had been taken. Documentation found at my Omega School confirmed it as well as a number that corresponded to a donator. Well, a donator isn't quite right. It turns out that when Sebastian was a teenager and had to have his appendix removed his father arranged for some of his semen to be collected as well. His donation was given to the company matching donators to Omega eggs. Somehow it turned out Sebastian's donation was matched with me.
It was the best day of my life replaceing out Eli wasn't just biologically my son but he was Sebastian was his father. It was as if fate had made sure we would be connected no matter what.
It's been a year now since that day I saw him for the first time and I have never been happier. Not only that but I found out today that Eli isn't going to be our only child. I can't wait to tell Sebastian that this time we will get to enjoy our baby grow and be born just how it is meant to be. If how he is with Eli is any indication, he's going to be an amazing father...again.
Life looked scary and even dark for a while but I would endure it all again if it means replaceing my family. Nothing good ever comes without challenges, but it's all worth it when you can replace true happiness. THE END.
