"So, Johnny I have a few questions for you and I would prefer if you told the truth. I don't care if you are a rogue or why you became one. I want to get to know you and see who you are." I stated finally taking sitting down on the blanket I had the kitchen staff bring out with the food.

Johnny nodded as he eyes glazed over looking at all the different foods I had them bring out. I ordered a picnic full of sandwiches, chips, veggies, fruits, and desserts of all kinds. I knew as a rogue that a good meal was hard to come by unless you moved into a human town and worked a regular job. That was hard on our wolves but sometimes you had to do anything and everything to live.

"Eat a bit first and then-"I didn't even have to complete my sentence before he was scarfing down on one of the sub-sandwiches.

The warriors Cass had called in for back up flinched forward ready to attack if he tried anything, but Cass calmed them down. Oliver and Olivia were sitting with us filling up their plates as well. Oliver seemed more relaxed as did Johnny as he kept eating.

'Everything going ok out there?' Leo linked with his voice full of concern. 'Big J is almost out of any info we can use.

Any special way for him to die since the attack and the postponement of our two fallen warriors send off?'

'Do your best. I have faith you will come up with the best idea for someone like him. I replied having to drop my head to hide the evil smile that wanted to bust through. 'We are fine here. I am feeding Johnny before i discuss a few things and get a read on him!

What is your goal with these meetings other than to get answers without blood shed?' Duncan linked adding himself and Lucas to the conversation. It was normal for my overbearing older mate. Good thing he was a hunk of a man and knew how to use his tongue to make this girl

scream.

My goal is to welcome them to the pack. Once we replace out why they are rogues and what type of people they are I want them to join us instead of taking whatever paid job they can replace which might include taking on innocent packs or wolves. I responded letting them know where I stood on it all. 1 plan on turning this back into one that welcomes everyone and is only as strong as its weakest link but instead of killing off that weak link or pushing them out of the pack we help them get stronger. It's the way it should be anyway!

None of them responded which made my heart stop and stutter. Knowing I should have discussed it with them made me feel even more guilty but I had never not told them I wanted this part to change the most. There was no reason more wolves couldn't join no matter the reason they wanted or needed to. Its crazy to think they would take a pack member from another pack without knowing everything about them but wouldn't take in a rogue knowing they were only out there because of some stupid Alpha or shitty parents.

A loud burp and a chuckle brought me back around.

Johnny was rubbing his full, bulging stomach with a sleepy smile. Oliver seemed to be just as full and happy which was a bonus.

"Alright Johnny now that you are full lets have a chat." I said with a smile. "I am going to tell you something about me first and then ask you a question to prove that I am not lying."

"Ok?" He said questioningly.

"I have the ability to tell if you are lying either by your aura or my wolf being my wolfy lie detector. I am going to be using both to figure out if we can trust you. My mates aren't a fan of rogues so this is a work in progress. I hope you don't make the matters worse." I gave him a stern look watching his aura pulsate between fear and some anger." Now to the question. Why are you a rogue?"

"That isn't any of your business. They don't have to tell you anything Luna or not." Oliver said standing up for Johnny before he could even open his mouth to answer. "No matter the reason no one should be a rogue. We are meant to be in packs so if you aren't going to offer him a place within the pack then you need to let him go."

Yup, he finally grossed that line. I slowly twisted my head to face him making sure to keep my face blank. I was upset but not angry enough to give him a full-on b***h glare but I didn't need him to know that. I needed him to think he was done for to make this more effective

"Oliver, I will say this once and once only. You don't know me, my thoughts, my opinions, or why I do what I do. I understand you have had it rough being a rogue and who knows what else but everyone has a past and a story. You have no right to be pissed that someone is asking a question of someone else that you don't want to answer." I kept my voice calm and level. "I am the Luna here and to be a part of this pack we have to know you are a safe person. I don't care what you did for money or a place to sleep beforehand but I do need to know if you are safe in respect to being around my pack and if you are a loyal enough wolf to know money won't sway you to kill someone here.

This is my family and no one will hurt them if I can help it.

So either shut the f**k up until its your turn to be questioned or you can leave my pack lands right now and lose your chance to be apart of my family."

There was clapping from a few places around us which made me chuckle. It was an amazing feeling to know that some of the pack heard me and loved what I had said. It was the truth. They had become my family and i would die for any of them.

Oliver looked pissed as he stared at Olivia. Never knowing what was going through someone's head I always thought the worst so in my mind he was going to leave and Olivia would go with him. It was choking me up more than I thought it would.

"I want to be a part of your family, Luna." Johnny said breaking the silence. "I don't mind asking your questions and I know Oliver doesn't either. He has always been the one to protect us rogues when we needed it even if it hurt him. He has been the big brother to every rogue he has came across from what I have seen. He wasn't even getting paid to be out there fighting you all. He did it to watch my back. My mate and son are back at a hotel room and I need to get back to them. Oliver was making sure I did."

His aura stayed steady so I knew he was telling the truth. "You just told me the truth and your honesty is making it one step closer for you and your family to become part of this pack. Thank you."

Johnny smiled with a tear falling down his cheek. "You would do that? Take us all in?"

"Damn straight. This pack accepted me when I first came here and haven't thrown me to the bad guys once all the attacks started so I owe it to make it stronger. That includes helping it grow and thrive."

Oliver cleared his throat as he finally looked at me. "I want to be apart of this family, your family. I have.. many things I have done wrong and it is hard to explain myself when in the past no one believed me or took my side. I want my mate, I want to be a part of a pack, and I just

want... Please.

His voice wavered as his aura turned bright blue showing me his sadness and remorse

You just want somewhere to belong. I did too as well as your mate. I want nothing more than for you to be here mated to my bestie and to be able to count on you. I just need a bit of your trust and with that the others will trust.

Can you do that?"

"Yes, I can."

"Good." I turned back to Johnny. "Ok, how bout you tell me how you became a rogue and some of the ways it has changed you as a person and a wolf. Also let me know what hotel your family is at so we can bring them here to be safe and fed." updated by Narugi.com

He instantly started talking so fast I thought he wasn't breathing. Oliver went right after him telling a bit of his backstory with his pack being attacked and killed when he was ten years old. His father made him run and since he was an alpha no other pack would take him. Johnny was thrown out of his pack along with his drunk of a father and his older brother. Both of them are dead leaving Johnny alone by the age of seventeen and no pack would take in someone from his family. His dad was well known for beating his kids and drinking until he blacked out every

day.

The other's stories I heard the rest of the day were similar and I hated it. They would be joining us if I had any say on it. ljust had to let the mates know what I heard and what I read off of them. Then a funeral and then some quality time with my hunky men.
