Chapter 39

At 6.15pm we made it to the church. Yes, on time and not a second late.

I would have preferred a garden wedding but Don Michele was already making an exception with me not being baptised and Leo saying his vows, so I can make this exception. Plus, I think my men would prefer the church.

Leo and Landon arrived only 15 minutes ago. Louie was to tell them I had a surprise and they needed to go for a drive. I can’t wait to hear the story of how they reacted when they got here and see the footage I had secretly filmed.

I had just our closest family and friends bussed here, so not the hundreds that will be at the tea. I know Ma would have preferred all of Italy but she will get over it or add it to a list of things she can hold over me after today.

My dad helps me out of the car and tries to stop his tears from flowing. He only found out when Landon and Leo did. We arranged for them all to arrive at the same time. Tom, my dad, Cameron, Nathan and the Uncles and their wives, then Louie was going to fill them in and then everyone else would arrive 5 minutes later. Gi had given me the heads up that the Uncles and their wives had to be part of the main blessing. So they all really didn’t have much time to process it but I liked it that way.

I took a deep breath and hugged my dad. “Surprise!” he just laughed and shook his head.

“So you’re happy?”

“Yeah just a little bit or should I say yeah suppose.” He laughed again at me, putting on a bad Aussie accent at the end.

“You never do anything the normal way?”

“What’s the fun in that?”

He shakes his head and takes his position beside me. Wrapping my arm around his, we both took a deep breath before we walked up to the doors. I heard the music start to play and the doors opened.

LANDON’s POV

I was suspicious when Lou arrived and told us Kate had a surprise for us today. He was sent over by her to make sure we were ready and take us to the surprise. It was her birthday, she wasn’t supposed to surprise us.

We finished getting ready with Lou making sure we were both perfect, also suspicious before he said we had to go for a quick drive. He always made sure his outfit was perfect but never gave a s**t about how anyone else looked.

There were SUVs already waiting out the front for us. No matter what we asked or threatened, he wouldn’t say a thing about what was going on but had the biggest s**t eating grin on his face.

“Why are we at the church?”

“Out we get.” is all he said as he got out almost skipping.

We got out to see more SUVs arriving with Tom, Pete , Cameron, Nathan and Uncle Andy, Uncle Vin, Aunt Maria and Aunt Mil. What the hell is going on?

Lou waved them over and then walked into the church. The doors were opened for us by well-dressed isle boys that we normally only see at Mass. We walked in to replace the church fully set up with beautiful flowers everywhere, a runner down the isle and those ribbons attached to the pews down the isles.

It looked amazing but had me more confused as I looked at Leo to see if he had a clue as to what was going on, but his eyes were coming out of his skull and it looked like he was in disbelief.

We walked up to Don Michele, who greeted us all at the front, then looked at Lou.

“So Landon, Leo, welcome to your wedding. The other guests will be here shortly and the bride at 6.15pm.”

My jaw hit the floor and now I looked like Leo a few moments ago. He must have put 2 and 2 together but didn’t believe it himself.

How the f**k did she do this? Does that mean she knew her parents were coming? That beautiful, amazing cheeky woman.

Also, was she really organising Lou’s wedding or ours?

I couldn’t help the “Ha!” that came out of my mouth as I looked around the church again and then at everyone in front of me. Leo’s face had changed to that of someone who had just won the lottery and I am sure mine mirrored it.

Everyone else either, still looked too shocked to do anything else but look around, or happily surprised, which were Mil and Maria. Kate’s dad just shook his head with a big smile on his face. Yeah, he knew his daughter never did anything in halves.

Don Michele then took over and told us the details of what was to come.

All I could do was nod and try and take it all in as the church started to fill with equally confused people. Ushers came from no-where and helped them to their seats and gave them programs.

I will have to get a copy of one of those later.

Other than Lou and Don Michele, there was not one face that didn’t show confusion, my beautiful soon-to-be wife really had pulled this off spectacularly.

I noticed it was only our closest family and friends but was surprised to see even Ben, Maxine, and even Enzo and his wife were here. I wasn’t surprised to see the full Russo family, Kate has them wrapped around her perfect little finger as well.

I didn’t care it wasn’t everyone from our monster dinner later on since this is my wedding, mine, Kate and Leo’s wedding. This was perfect and the church still looked packed.

It felt like only seconds before we were told to get into our places as she was here. My f*****g world, my Amore was here.

My black heart started beating wildly ready to see my soon-to-be wife.

The doors opened and there she was. She was the most beautiful woman that has ever walked this earth. The light behind her proved she was definitely an angel. She looked absolutely stunning in her dress that hugged her curves perfectly. She even had on her new necklace and earrings that matched her ring. They all worked perfectly. She was f*****g perfect.

She had her hair half up and half down all curled with no vail. I wonder if Ma was happy about that. Ha who cares, I’m about to get married, no Leo and I are about to get married to the most amazing woman in the world.

She had somehow organised it so we were both marrying her, although it would only be my signature on the marriage certificate.

Did I say she is f*****g perfect?

LEO’s POV

I watch as Landon and Kate sign the marriage certificate. I couldn’t but I don’t care. I said ‘I do’ on the altar with my love and I have a wedding ring. That is all I ever wanted. Oh, and I also have pictures to prove it too. I thought Landon and Kate would have the big wedding, then Kate and I would have a private little ceremony for just us, but no Kate pulled it off.

How the hell did she do all this without us knowing? Didn’t we have to sign something to apply for the marriage licence? She probably had to pay someone off to get out of that, which gives me a thrill. I love it when she shows us her lioness side with her fierceness to get things done.

She looked more beautiful than an angel in her dress. I don’t think anyone could have picked a more perfect dress for her and her new necklace was a perfect final touch.

Both Landon and I had issues with the dust or something in the church as our eyes welled up to her coming down that isle. Ah who am I kidding, I can admit I nearly wailed like a baby at seeing her come towards us in her wedding dress ready to marry us, officially give herself to us, FINALLY!

I looked at my wedding ring, my wedding ring and smiled. I was married, finally married.

After the signing, we were pronounced Husband, Husband and Wife and both gave her a quick k**s before heading back to Ma’s.

Once again, Kate had surprised us. The ballroom looked like a flower shop, no market had exploded with fairy lights and candles thrown in.

The room looked like it was straight out of one of those bridal magazines with chair covers, tables set up to perfection, a band in the corner and a dance floor. The colours were white, gold and black on the tables but the flowers had a lot of pink and red also. Even I have to use the word magical, because there is no other way to describe it.

Kate showed us through the room first before we disappeared into a back room to let everyone else arrive.

We had a head table up the front with a cake table beside it. The cake was a 6 tiered naked cake, whatever that means, with real roses on the side of each tier. Once again, it looked amazing.

Both Landon and I couldn’t keep our hands off her as she tried to show us around the room. She will be lucky if we don’t hitch her dress up and show her how happy we are before everyone gets here. Her dress is amazing, but right now it would look better on the bedroom floor. Yeah, I know that’s cheezy and from one of the worst pickup lines out there, but it’s the truth, I can’t wait till today is over to spend it with my wife. I am going to devour that body and show her how happy I am. My d**k pulses just thinking about it.

“And Ma knew none of this?” I asked as we sat down with a drink in the living room or Lounge as Kate calls it.

“Nope, not until she saw my wedding dress just before I got dressed and left for the church.” She smiled proudly, taking a sip of her drink.

“f*****g Amazing.” Landon shook his head.

“You know she will be a bit disappointed.” I shook my head, thinking of all the images of what her face would have looked like when she found out.

“Nah, she finally has her boys married off, she will be fine.”

“She is really going to be ramping up the grandchild talk now.” Landon whispers in her ear and bites it gently. Yeah, he’s struggling not to take her right now as well.

“One surprise at a time.” She rolls her eyes at him, making him chuckle. I had never heard my brother laugh so much in his life until she arrived. She has brought so much joy to all of us.

“I can’t believe you did all this.” I still shook my head, then kissed her gently, trying to restrain myself, but f**k it’s hard. “My beautiful wife.”

She gins at me “Well a normal wedding is so boring. So why not?” her grin turns cheeky and so f*****g hot. f**k, she is gorgeous and she is mine!

I can’t help but k**s her again, my beautiful wife.

KATE’S POV

I can’t believe I pulled it off!

I am now married to my 2 amazing men and they didn’t expect a thing. Go me!

I can’t wait to watch the video of their faces when they found out. That will be my second priority tonight, if you know what I mean. Come on, do you blame me?

I grabbed the tablet and brought up the cameras in the Ballroom. “Speaking of Ma, let’s see her reaction to the Ballroom.” My men snuggled closer and laughed as I zoomed in on the doors just in time to see Tom walk Ma in. We had the staff hold everyone else back until Ma could see the room first.

“You are in so much trouble.” Leo chuckled as we watched Ma’s shocked face. I really hope she doesn’t have a heart attack from what we have done. The decorator did go a little overboard although it does look amazing.

The smile on Tom’s face is classic. He loved that Ma had no idea and he had one up. Due to the fact that he never smiles, I get extra pleasure seeing how big his smile is right now.

And Ma is crying although I think they are happy tears or else that smile on Tom’s face would have disappeared. He just comforts her or tries to as she continues to whisk around the room trying to take it all in.

After Ma has had a good look around, I had the makeup artist that had just finished touching up my makeup quickly whisk her away to fix her make-up as well as before everyone else was let in.

Finally, the doors open and the room is suddenly full, waitresses quickly appear and lead everyone to their seats. Gi did most of the seating arrangements since she knows all the history of any issues that may arise. I have to give her a massive thank you gift after this, although I know she is just proud to have been in on this and kept a massive secret from Ma.

Once everyone is seated and have their drinks, we are finally led out.

My 2 gorgeous Adonis gods that I now call my husbands on each side of me as we walk out to the loudest cheer I think I have ever heard.

I look around the room to my family, my new official extended family, and dear friends, all showing us such love and happiness. I would never have guessed my life would end up like this, never in a million years.

I went from bad dates and thinking I would struggle to replace a guy that could handle me for more than 3 months or even 2 dates if I’m serious, to now being married to 2 amazing men.

I never thought I would feel so accepted by such a large family or even live in a different country.

All this after just a one-night stand with the mafia boss.

Who would have guessed…
