'I'm just excited' I tell her, knowing there was more to it than that.

'Sure...' draws Artemis. 'But whatever, I'll let you handle this' and with that she moved to go back to sleep leaving me alone like she had promised.

Smiling, I continue onward excitement rushing through me as I slowly approach the pack house. "I'm so nervous" I mutter, my eyes noticing all the other pack members as everyone moved about. their day, all while keeping a safe distance, not wanting to disrupt them as they came and went throughout the day. "What brings you here?" calls a voice which startles me, making me turn to see Shane, who was smirking making me shrink back in fear.

"I-I'm on my way to see Maya" I tell him hoping he would leave me alone.

"Maya huh?" asks Shane eas s he slowly approaches me, a smirk gracing his mouth.

"Yes" I answer a little firmer clearly not in the mood to be dealing with his bullshit.

"She's busy, so maybe you can help me" smirks Shane, as he moves to touch my shoulder making my skin crawl.

"That's okay-" I start, trying to think of what to say only to be interrupted.

"There you are Athena, I've been looking for you" calls another voice, causing both of us to turn only to spot a girl with pixie blonde hair and violet color eyes, her 5 '2 frame dressed out in workout attire as well.

In the presence of another, Shane can only glare as he moves to take his hand away just as the girl moves to stand right next to Athena as if trying to prevent Shane from doing anything else.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, I wasn't sure where I was going" admits the girl all while giving me her best "Just go with it vibe. Nodding, I reply back with a smile. "Of course, I'm sorry I didn't make things easier for you" I say, trying to make it sound like I knew who the girl was. "It's fine, now come, let's get breakfast. I'm starving" laughs the girl just as her stomach rumbles causing me to laugh as we walk away from Shane, who is now frowning.

"Thank you" I whisper, once we were far enough away from Shane, glad someone took it upon themselves to help.

"No problem" smiles the girl as we move to enter the pack house. "I'm Emily. Emily Graystorm."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Athena, In which you clearly know" I say as she nods her head.

"They won't trust me" is all Emily says as she smiles her sweet smile, moving to lead us towards the food, unaware that my mates were sitting at a table all the while observing us from a far.
