Our Luna, Our Mate Chapter Eros POV

It's hard to think exactly where the time had gone, as we all sat talking amongst ourselves. Each of us sharing things with Athena while she herself shared whatever information she felt comfortable with sharing at that moment when suddenly I moved to glance at the time. Oh my word, is it really 6pm? We've spent the entire day just talking and now it's time for the ball, I muse as I carefully move to stand, catching the attention of my mate as I did. "Is everything. okay?" asks Athena from her spot on Ares's lap. "Yes love, all is fine but it's 6pm and the ball is in less than 2hrs" I say as I move to gaze at her, her beautiful face lighting up as realization hits. "Oh no, I'm so late" exclaims Athena as she moves to jump from my brother's lap which earns her mild stares and a few chuckles from Ares as she did.

"Late?"

Late? asks Lucas, confused. "How so?"

"Because I'm meeting Maya. I need to go before she gets mad at me for making her wait" replies Athena.

"Mad? She doesn't seem like the type to get mad" laughs Sam, who was trying to picture a mad Maya in that exact moment.

"Oh she does, trust me. I've seen it. Once, when someone messed up her kitchen. But the point is, Maya promised to help me get ready, so the least I can do is be on time" remarks Athena as she moves to make a bee line for the door only for me to grab her by the wrist which causes her to stop and look at me with her beautiful blue eyes.

"Promise me that you'll share a dance with us?" I ask, hopeful, wanting a chance to hold her at least once throughout the night.

"I-I promise" mumbles Athena, her cheeks red at the thought of dancing with us. Cute, I think as I move to kiss her gently, soft tingles hitting my lips as I did. "Mmm, until later our sweet mate" 1 purr as I finally let her go, Emma and Emily moving to leave with her as well, each of of them carrying their outfit for tonight's event. Once gone from the room, I move to look at Ares and the guys. "Protect our Luna, no matter what. I don't dare trust her family, nor do I trust that Gamma and Delta. They've hurt her long enough. and it's time to end this, once and for all" I snarl to Kai, Seth and Sam. Ares nodding in agreement.

"Good now let's move, we have exactly 2 hrs before the ball and we all need to be looking our best" is my only reply as they nod, each of us moving to head for our rooms to get ready. For after tonight, we would be returning home with our Luna and with a little luck Maya, Athena's only friend and family that she had while staying here. -2 Hours Later- ready?' asks Deimos, as I move to check myself over in the mirror. 'I was born ready' I tell him, doing another once over, wanting to look respectable for tonight's ball. As I had decided to settle on a deep blue navy silk shirt with black dress pants and black dress shoes, my hair was slightly styled but not overly styled. Mmm, perfect, are my thoughts while hoping Athena would replace my look appealing for tonight's event as she was the only real reason that I was even trying to impress even remotely. "Then let's get this show on the road, the sooner we get this over with the sooner we can mate with our Luna' chimes Deimos who couldn't wait to lay claim to Athena as did Zeus for once we returned home, Ares and I would be mating and marking her as ours so long as she allowed it.

'Easy there, we don't want to frighten her now' I chuckle as I move to exit my room only to spot Seth who was currently waiting for us, his deep green satin shirt along with black pants and black shoes fitting together nicely.

"You clean up nicely" I comment as I move to stand next to him.

do you" chuckles Seth, just as Sam moves to join us, his attire consisting of a deep violet satin shirt, black dress pants and matching shoes.

"Who cleans up nicely" asks Sam, an amused look on his face as he moves to stand with us. "Seth" I tell him, which earns me a chuckle. "Ah, figures".

"Ya, Ya, Laugh it up" grumbles Seth, just as Kai and Lucas move to exit their bedroom. "Um, did we miss something?" asks Lucas, an eye arched as he did.

"No, you didn't" I tell him as I move to see what they're wearing. Kai dressed in a deep teal satin shirt while Lucas wore a deep red satin shirt while both wore black dress pants and shoes to match. "Hey where's Ares?" questions Sam, once noticing that Ares had yet to join "Right here" calls his voice, causing us to turn to greet him as Ares moves to stand before us. Dressed in a black silk shirt, black dress pants and black shoes I couldn't help but notice how put together he was. "Are we ready?" I ask, once everyone was there. Chapter

"Ya, let's get a move on" laughs Sam, now eager to get to the ball as everyone would be meeting their mates including us.

Sighing, I moved to shake my head before moving to leave the room, each of us heading in the direction of the ballroom as the sound of music began to filter softly through the room as packs. from all over began to mingle and enjoy themselves as some hoped to replace their mate that evening. "Whoa, there's so many of them" whispers Sam, surprised by the amount of people who were there. "Dude, there's probably 12 packs here if not more" grunts Seth as he nudges him. "Who all

came here anyway?" asks Lucas as he too moves to look at those in attendance.

"From what father had told us before coming here, there should be 12 packs currently present. Aside from us and the Moon Walker Pack, we should be able to see each unmated wolf from the other packs as well" answers Ares as he moves to look around the room. "You mean like those from the Eclipse Pack, Silver Moon Pack, Midnight Pack, Shadow Pack, Night Shade Pack, Blood Moon Pack, Crimson Shadow Pack, Dark Moon Pack and the Snow Moon Pack?" asks Lucas who had only counted 11 packs. "But we seem to be missing a a pack". "Yes, well... The Blood Rose Pack is the Lycan Kings territory and The Moon Valley Pack..." trails Ares a little uncomfortable with saying the name. "Is our mates pack and one that no longer exists all thanks to that war that broke out 10 years ago. Because of that she no longer has a home" I whisper, upset with the fact that our mate was now packless.

Not packless, she is our Luna, our pack is her home' murmurs Deimos, who had been listening to our conversation.

once we've mated and marked her she will become our Luna once and for all' I tell him, waiting for the chance to finally claim her as ours.

Just then someone decides to approach us. "Alpha Ares, Alpha Eros how nice to finally meet you" replies a voice only for us to turn and see a young girl, a girl no older than 21 as she stood before us in a long ruby color dress that touched the floor in a mermaid style gown, her blonde hair pinned neatly into a bun on top of her head as her blue eyes danced with pride. "And who might you be?" ask Kai to the female who stood before them.

so sorry, where are my manners? I'm Alpha Hayes, Future Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack. Father has told me oh so much about the Mystic Shadow Pack and its famous Alpha twins. I was hoping that we could discuss our continuation of being allies, and work together on trying to figure out on how to deal with the current Rogue situation" replies Hayes, her eyes telling us she was serious.

"Indeed, I hope we can continue to work together as well Alpha Hayes" I reply, a smile now gracing my face.

"Please, call me Elise. Everyone else does. Alpha Hayes seems too formal" laughs Elise.

"Okay.. Elise" chuckles Ares, as we continue to be cordial with her until the tug of the mate bond kicks in and our attention turns towards the entrance. 'She's stunning' I whisper to Deimos, my breath hitching as I did, her beauty captivating me fully. Chapter Comments
