POV

It's about 8 o'clock in the morning when I finally begin to stir, my stomach growling to signal to me that it was time to get up. Blinking, I move my hand to feel around the bed only to replace it currently empty. Huh, I wonder, moving to sit up as my eyes move to look at either side of the bed, my mates both gone from the bed. Eros's spot was a little warmer than Ares as though he had just gotten up whereas Ares's spot had been colder like he had been gone for a while. Guess it's time I got up too, I muse. Moving to stretch my body, my muscles surprisingly not too sore from last night's fun as I move to take a quick shower, not wanting to smell like sex before going down to breakfast, feeling positive that my mates would be there as well. Smiling, I move to do just that. Shower. -30 Minutes Later-

After a quick shower I move to exit the bathroom, my hair now in a messy bun as I move to head. for the closet and to where my clothes sat, deciding on comfortable clothes today until I was able to figure out a more appropriate look for my new role as Luna. Hmm, what to wear? I ponder, my eyes scanning over my choices before deciding on a pair of black capri leggings and a pale blue tank top. Satisfied with the look I move to grab a bra and panty before proceeding to get dressed.

Once dressed, I quickly do a once over before moving towards the door deciding today would be a good day, for after yesterday's event I wanted to start fresh. Heading for the dining room, I can't help but notice the room partially full as pack members came and went. Looks busy, I thought, moving to grab food from the breakfast bar that was set up for all, my eyes scanning for either my mates or that of Kai and the others and I continued to grab what I wanted to eat.

Grabbing what I wanted, I move to turn only to come face to face with Lily, a frown on her face as our eyes meet. "Well... if it isn't the wanna be Luna" sneers Lily, her eyes filled with disdain.

'Let me at her' growls Artemis, wanting a piece of her.

body now close to mine as we stood face to face, drawing unwanted attention from the other pack. members who were still in the room.

"I'm pretty sure that was completely on you and not me" I say, trying to defuse the situation. having noticed the stares.

"How dare you" screeches Lily, her hand moving to slap me across the face, her hand stinging as it did. "If it weren't for the Moon Goddess and her stupid meddling, I would have been theirs".

Blinking, I gently move to cup my cheek the feeling similar to that of Diana, when she would get angry. Except Lily was not my cousin no matter what I thought. 'Careful my child, something tells me she's purely toying with us" warns Artemis, not liking Lily at all. of the Moon Goddess like that. It's not my fault that she paired me with the twins: and not

"Why you little-" glaring Lily moves to attack me again, only to be stopped by a firm hand. "Back off or else" growls the voice of Eros, his eyes narrowing on Lily as he moves to protect me, Artemis excited to see her mate.

"Eros, Why?" whines Lily, trying her best to give him her sad puppy dog eyes. "Don't... your eyes don't work on me anymore, now I suggest you leave my mate alone or else face the consequences replies Eros, his eyes still narrow.

Looking between Eros and I, her eyes slowly narrow before growling. "You haven't seen the last of me Luna" spat Lily, before stalking off. As soon as she's gone, do I finally relax. Eros moving to look at where she had slapped me. "Are you okay love?" asks Eros, concerned.

Blushing, I nod. "Yes.. I'm fine" I whisper, a little embarrassed at being saved all the time. "You sure? Ares won't be pleased if you're hurt" replies Eros, not believing me. wanting to anger him, I move to smile, taking his hand in mine. "Yes, I'm sure, 100%" I say, determined not to let Lily ruin it for me. "Now come, let's eat".

Sighing, he nods before moving to fix himself up some food before we move to sit in a secluded. area, away from everyone as we ate. "So, where's Ares?" I ask, curious as to where my other mate

was.

"He's talking to father" grunts Eros, clearly not thrilled about the reason. "Oh? About what?" I ask again, hoping he would say more. "About pack stuff. Which reminds me, we have a pack meeting tonight and it's important" answers Eros, his eyes searching mine in hopes I would not ask for

more.

"Oh, Okay" I answer, a bit shocked by his response but not one to question it. Knowing that my mates would tell me if it was a pressing matter.

Seeing him smile, we move to continue with our breakfast until Kai and Seth finally join us. "Good morning Luna, Alpha" replies Kai, a smile on his face as he sits with his own food. "Yes, Good morning" replies Seth, both of them in a very good mood this morning. "Good morning Kai, Seth, where are the others?" I ask curiously, wondering where Lucas was or that of Sam, Emma or Emily.

"There coming there just over at the breakfast bar grabbing food. They'll be here shortly" is all Kai says just as the others make themselves present. "Good morning" chimes the others as they approach us.

I morning" I reply with a smile, instantly happy.

grumbles Eros, apparently not pleased by today's events. "Is everything okay?" asks Emma to her Alpha.

I don't worry, everything will be addressed at tonight's pack meeting" grumbles Eros, clearly not over whatever it was that was bothering him.

How about after we finish with breakfast we go for a run?" I offer, Eros seeming to perk up at that. "You mean that?" he asks. "Yes, we can all go if you like" I answered, glad his mood changed if only slightly. "Sweet" laughs Sam, as we all quickly eat.

-A few minutes later-

Once everyone had finished eating their breakfast, we all quickly headed for the treeline that led to the forest. Approaching, I move to stand behind a tree to strip, Eros following while the others- did the same, not wanting to rip our clothes.

As s I move to remove my clothes, I can't help but feel eyes on me, causing me to glance over to see Eros. "Are you sure you're okay?" I ask, moving over to him slowly. Sighing, he moves to pull me into his arms. "No, I'm mad at the fact that Lily had the nerve to lay her hands on you" mumbles Eros, as he moves to cup my cheek, the one Lily had slapped earlier that morning.. Smiling, I gently cup his hand with mine. "I'm fine though, I've been through much worse" I whisper, hoping he wouldn't hear the last part. Frowning, Eros knits his eyebrows together, having indeed heard me all thanks to his wolf hearing. Chapter 38

Sorry, I'll explain later, just not now okay. Now how about that run?" I say quickly, moving to turn around before he could question my words, removing the rest of my clothes before shifting into Artemis, our white wolf. Waiting, I patiently wait for Eros, who was currently looking at us in aw. "Your beautiful love, your coat, it sparkles like moon dust, as do your eyes" whispers Eros in aw, moving to pet us, Artemis purring at the touch.

Nudging him, we try to get his attention which quickly works as he makes quick work of

his own

clothes before shifting into Deimos, his wolf. His wolf huge for an Alpha, his fur black except for a small patch of white on his snout, making me wonder what Ares looked like.

"Ready love?" asks Eros through our link. 'Yes' I answer, a small smile appearing as we move to join the others. My eyes moving towards that of Kai and the others who had also shifted into their wolves. Looking from left to right I slowly begin to notice who is who. Starting from the right I notice Kai, Kai's wolf is an all out brown wolf. His wolf Frost is of average size compared to Eros. Next to him stood Lucas, his wolf also brown with tiny hints of reds. coating his fur, his wolf was known as Echo. Moving my focus again I move to see Seth, his wolf Lobo was a lighter shade of brown compared to that of Kai's who was a shade or two darker in fur. Emma and her wolf Sage were a sandy blonde color and a tiny bit smaller than Seth when it came to size. Smiling, I move over to Sam and his wolf Akira. Akira was a medium gray wolf with tiny hints of black and darker shades of gray which acted almost like a highlight. Emily was last, her wolf Raven a lighter shade of g gray.

all move to stand at the treeline Eros looking to each of us before nodding. 'Ready" he asks through the pack link. 'Ready" they reply. Laughing I moved to run into the woods first eager to run as Eros chuckles threw the link knowing he was right behind me as we ran. Chapter Comments Avia Gayle
