"Kai, what do you mean Lily is gone?" asks Alarick as if trying to gather information instead of placing blame on him like his sons were clearly trying to do.

Speak. Ares asked me to look into replaceing Lily. The goal was

to replace out what exactly she knew about the Rogue King and why she was working for him".

Nodding, Alarick continues to wait patiently for Kal to continue not wanting to rush the poor Beta into what he was trying to say to them. "Then what happened?"

Once he was gone, did Ares let loose. "How did we not notice her leaving? We should have been able to sense it, especially if she was leaving pack grounds".

Silent, father nor I are able to come up with any kind of explanation as we should have been able to feel it and we didn't. For when a pack member leaves the safety of the pack lands, it takes a toll on their connection to the pack which was a way to warn its Alpha and its members that someone was too close to the border.

"Not unless a Witch was involved" whispers Athena, speaking up once more with her angel-like voice which startles us. Our focus once more on her as we wait for her to continue.

Fidgeting, Athena tries to finish her thoughts. "If a Witch was involved in the evacuation of Lily, it would explain why she was able to leave without anyone knowing, plus it would explain why you or your father didn't feel anything with the bond.

At the mention of Witches, both Ares and I along with Zeus and Deimos growl. If a Witch had been involved that meant they were free to enter our pack when they wanted to which meant our pack was no longer safe and neither was Athena as she could be magically taken from us without us knowing.

"Are you sure Athena? For accusing a Witch is just as bad as accusing someone of higher status" questions Alarick wanting to be sure before we started accusing more people.

"I'm positive. Only a Witch, especially one good in dark magic could sever a pack bond without one knowing let alone get said pack member out without anyone detecting them" admits Athena Chapter 54

her once more.

Of course, she would only ever come around when Uncle or Aunty were gone or even Brian. When the coast was clear, she would come over and help Diana escape. Masking her pack link without breaking it, giving Diana the ability to leave when she wanted too" finishes Athena, having witnessed it once only for her to hide from them ever since. Although fascinated, I was also scared that either Diana would tattle or force me into something I didn't want to do so I avoided her that day all together, thinks Athena not wanting to voice anymore about Witches. Sensing her uneasiness, I move to embrace her as I move to look at Ares and our father. "Now

"Thank you, we shall be there soon" answers father, as the Omega nods before turning to leave a sense of uneasiness lingering.

"Great, now we have to attend to him too" growls Ares, not liking the young Alpha already.
