Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 40

Madison's POV

My heart thumped loudly in my chest. We could get caught and it would be game over but I didn't want him to stop. The risk of knowing we could get caught in this position was thrilling. His hands felt hot on my skin and I wanted nothing more than for him to.... "I'm sorry," he apologized, removing his hands from my thighs and backing away. I pressed my thighs tightly back together to stop the tingling sensation between them. I was still in a daze and I couldn't react much to his apology. He ran his hands through his hair in frustration. "I don't know what's wrong with me, Mady. I came here to speak with you on how best we should control this thing that's between us. It was like a wide fire and as usual it got uncontrollable and I couldn't help myself. I'm so sorry," he apologized again. "Don't come in. I will be right there," I called out to the omegas that were trying to come in without taking my gaze away from him. We needed to be alone so I could do what I wanted to do. I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face. The force of the slap made his head tilt slightly to the side. I knew it definitely hurt because my palm stung. He touched his cheek, staring at me in surprise. I was also surprised.

I hit him without thinking twice. I never thought I was capable of hurting anyone. This was a first but I wasn't going to apologize. I am mad right now.

"What did I tell you about you and your apologies, especially after doing something like this?" I whispered angrily. I was lucky the shower was still running. Nobody would be able to hear us. All they would be able to hear were muffled noises. Torres was fond of doing this. That night during the party, he kissed me first and then he apologized afterward. The same thing the other day in my room and now too. He made me feel stupid.

"What I meant to say was you don't deserve to be taken to the walls of your bathroom by someone who is confused and can't control himself. I deserved that slap though. You don't have to feel sorry," he said.

"I don't feel sorry. I'm happy I slapped you," I retorted. He nodded in understanding.

"You should have stopped me," he muttered.

"Are you saying this is my fault?" I asked in disbelief.

"No, of course not. These past few days, you've ignored me completely. You never want to be close to me. Mason even suspects that something is going on between us," he replied.

"Now you understand how it feels to be ignored. If you are worried Mason will replace out, why are you here? Shouldn't you be downstairs?" I responded.

"I can deal with Mason if he replaces out. You are too delicate for my world Mady. I don't want to drag you into my mess but I don't want to be away from you either. What do I do?" he admitted with a sigh. His phone suddenly rang and his whole demeanor changed. His eyes became darker immediately when he saw who was calling.

"Is something wrong? Who is it?" I asked curiously, trying to peer into his phone.

"It's nothing. You should get dressed. I will see you downstairs," he replied and left the same way he came in. I turned off the shower and hurriedly got out.

"Miss Madison. You scared us. We thought something happened to you. We were just about to get the Luna..."

"Don't stress mum out. Today is her day and I'm fine. You don't have to worry. Let's continue," I sat down on my chair and they began to apply make-up on my face. I couldn't forget about Torres. What were we doing? This sudden attraction was surprising. I've known him all my life and this has never happened. Could it be because we were adults now? L**t maybe?

"Miss Madison, you need to wear your dress now," she said, jolting me out of my reverie. She helped me into my dress and bowed politely.

"You look stunning," she said.

"Thank you, Sarah," I replied with a small smile. We all headed out together. I had spent too much time in my room already. The room was brightly lit and different gowns glittered brightly but only one caught my attention. I smiled making my way towards her excitedly but I slowed my pace when I saw Anna, Mia, Evelyn, and Carla with her. Wherever those four were, it couldn't be good news and I could tell from Lexi's expression.

"Anti-fan? What are you doing here? Did you sneak in?" Anna asked with a frown.

"I'm sure she did or she stole an invite. Her type can never be invited to these types of parties," Mia added.

"Maybe she did something to Mason. I heard he's tutoring her now and she gets to come here every day. You know these low class girls, they have their way with men," Evelyn said, her voice dripping with jealousy. I clutched my gown tightly. "What? How could..."

"We are still talking. And what are you wearing? Where did you steal that dress from? I'm sure you can't afford it," Carla said, cutting her off. I knew how they could be. She wouldn't be able to speak or defend herself against all four of them. "We got the dresses together and I invited her. Got a problem with that?" I asked making my way over to them. They all turned towards me in surprise. The four of them gasped when they saw my dress. "Mady, you both are..."

"You are right. It's the same dress. I ask again, do you have a problem with that?" I asked glaring at them.

Lexi's gown was a stunning shade of deep sapphire blue. It has a form-fitting bodice adorned with intricate silver beadwork that shimmers in the light. The gown's A-line skirt gracefully flows to the floor. The back of the gown is open, with delicate crisscrossed straps that create an elegant and alluring look while mine exudes glamor in a rich ruby red. It boasts a sweetheart neckline and a fitted, sequin-embellished bodice that sparkles with every movement. The waist is cinched with a satin belt, leading to a flowing chiffon skirt that cascades gracefully to the floor. The gown's back had a low V-cut with a lace-up corset-style closure. It wasn't exactly the same, but one could tell that they looked similar.

"Why did you give her such an expensive dress? I've been trying to get this for two months," Anna muttered in shock.

"You wouldn't be able to get it no matter how hard you try because this design isn't officially out," I responded tauntingly.

"Did she perhaps blackmail you into getting it for her? If you are being threatened, you can tell us. We know how best to deal with girls like her," Evelyn assured me. "Blackmail? Isn't that too dramatic?" Lexi asked.

"Who asked you to speak?" Carla retorted. I knew why they were doing this. It was because of Mason and I but mostly because of Mason. They were the leaders of his little fan club so they hated to see any girl close to him. I smiled at them sweetly and linked my arm with Lexi's. "She's my best friend and I would do anything for her. Never speak to her like this again else I will get really upset. We all don't want that right?" I asked. "W..what?" Mia stuttered looking pale.

"If you will excuse us, my friend and I have a party to enjoy. Make sure to have fun and stop being spoiled little brats," I replied and pulled Lexi along.

"Did she just call us brats? I can't breathe," Ana muttered.

"Mia, help her. Is it because the corsets are too tight?" Evelyn inquired as they scampered around trying to help her out.

"Ignore those four. They are just seeking attention," I said to her as we finally stopped.

"Why would you gift me such an expensive gown?" she asked.

I smiled. "How would you know if it's expensive or not?"

"I'm not blind. And those girls just confirmed it. You also said it yourself that it wasn't released yet. I'm sure it must cost a fortune," she replied worriedly. Lexi was truly the type of friend I never had. If it were my other friends, they would accept the gift and feel entitled to more but Lexi wasn't like that.

"It's okay. Take it as a friendship gift," I answered.

"How many friendship gifts will you give me? I never even gave you anything in return," she muttered.

"If you really want to give me something in return, then flaunt this gown in everyone's faces and enjoy the party," I declared. She chuckled. I caught sight of Torres in the crowd and our eyes met. "Are you okay?" Lexi asked.

"I'm perfectly fine. Why wouldn't I be?" I replied, taking two glasses of champagne from a passing waiter. I handed her one.

"Cheers," I said with a smile as we clinked glasses.
