Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 67

Crescent pack Emma's POV

"Welcome back Luna," the omegas greeted me as soon as I stepped in. I nodded in response. The driver handed over my bag to them. Today has been a very hectic day for me. I had been in the operating room all day. It was one surgery after another. My legs were aching from standing all day. I walked into my room and the omegas followed after me. One of them dropped my bag.

"Prepare a warm bath for me," I said, sitting on the bed and taking off my shoes. They bowed in response and got to it. I sighed in relief unbuttoning my long sleeved shirt. I stood up and walked towards the laundry basket to drop it. Soon enough, I felt a presence behind me and a strong arm holding me in his embrace. I sighed in content leaning into his touch.

"When did you get back?" I asked.

"Few hours before you. You look tired, your shoulders look so tense," he said, guiding me towards the bed. I took a seat and he sat behind me. He began to slowly massage my shoulders and I moaned in delight, snapping my eyes shut. The feeling was amazing. I could hear the omegas scurrying to get out of the room. Poor girls, I could tell they were startled. If it was before, I never would have allowed him to touch me so sensually in front of everyone because I was shy but now, I am used to it. It happened every time. "Where is Alex and Julian?" I asked.

"In the study. I heard your car and came up to check up on you," he replied.

"I need to speak with the three of you. I will just take a shower and be right downstairs," I said to him standing up from the bed. I slowly undressed in front of him. His eyes took in the sight before him slowly.

"Sweet, sweet Emma. You are such a tease," he gulped. I chuckled.

"I will take a shower now," I replied, turning around to leave.

"Are you going to leave just like that? I'm sure you need help in the shower," he muttered.

"I'm perfectly capable of bathing on my own Mr. Thank you for the offer," I replied.

He groaned. "I'm going to need a cold shower after this." I smiled heading into the bathroom. I took my shower as quickly as I could so I could meet them all in the study. As the Alphas of a pack, something could come up and they would have to leave urgently. I didn't want that. I needed to get this issue off my chest and listen to their opinions about it. When I stepped out, I walked towards the table where my phone was placed to check for any missed calls but sadly they were none.

I never thought I would feel so lonely if all my kids left home at once. After Mason and Mady left, Vivian threw a tantrum for days vehemently insisting that she wanted to go on a trip when she just came back from one. Her fathers being the soft hearted men they were, fell for her cries and allowed her to spend a couple of weeks with Cole after promising that she would take her online classes seriously.

Mady called me on their first day at Xander's pack but after that she never called again. As for Mason, I never spoke to him ever since he stepped out from this pack house. I knew he was avoiding me. I tried to reach out to them but I decided against it. They might get upset at me for ruining their trip which would make things worse with Mason because I knew if I heard their voices once, I would be tempted to call all the time. So, I often heard about them from Xander and Judith. My phone suddenly rang and I picked it up immediately without wasting a second.

"Hello," I called out eagerly, desperately hoping it was Mason.

"That was quick. You sound very happy to hear my voice," he replied and it wasn't Mason. My once lifted spirit dampened.

"Oh, it's you," I muttered.

"You sound disappointed. Are you not happy that I called? Should I not have?" John asked.

"No, it's nothing like that. I just thought Mason was finally calling me," I responded.

"You still haven't spoken to him yet?" he asked, sounding surprised. I nodded but then I realized he couldn't see.

"We haven't spoken," I replied curtly.

"Is he still mad?" he asked.

"I believe so," I said.

"But I just got off the phone with him and he didn't sound upset," he mumbled. I knew he didn't mean for me to hear that but I did anyway.

I furrowed my brows. "You spoke to him today?"

"I did," he stated. I sighed.

"You know how Mason is when he's upset. He will come around soon or you can call him," he suggested.

"I will. How are Ria and Sean?" I inquired.

"Ria is still at work and Sean is over here in his uniform speaking to Vivian over the phone for the past two hours," he replied. I chuckled. Those two were unbelievable.

"I need to go now. I called to check up on you," he said. I smiled. After so many years have passed by, John was still the same. Caring and sweet. His son took after him.

"Thank you John. My regards to Sean,"I replied. He bid me goodbye and hung up. I grabbed some clothes from my closet and put them on before heading downstairs. I walked right into the study.

"What took you so long?" Philip asked as soon as I stepped in.

"I was on the phone with John," I replied, taking a seat on the couch.

"Philip said you wanted to speak with us about something important?" Alex asked, looking up from the files in front of him.

"Yes, it's about Mason," I replied.

"What about Mason? Is he okay? Did something happen to him? Why didn't Xander say anything?" Julian asked me worriedly.

"No, nothing happened to him. He's perfectly fine," I hurriedly replied.

"Then what's wrong with him? You sound worried," Philip stated.

"Remember how I told you he found the therapist's card in my bag?" I asked. They all nodded.

"Well, he has been behaving weird from that moment," I admitted.

"Weird in what way?" Alex asked.

"Seriously? You mean to tell me you haven't noticed any changes in your own son?" I asked in disbelief.

"You asked us so it's only right you tell us the answer to that. Besides, your observation might be different from ours," Alex smartly answered.

"Nice try Alex but you can't talk your way out of this one. I know you didn't notice anything. He's your son for goodness sake," I retorted irately.

"And we know that. Why are you getting angry? Just tell us whatever it is and we will replace a solution," Julian said calmly.

I took a deep breath. "Did you even notice that Mason has been avoiding us?" I asked.

"He has?" Philip inquired in surprise. Julian who was standing next to him pinched his arm to stop him from speaking any further.

"Since he saw that card, he has been avoiding me. Whenever I tried to speak with him, he would replace an excuse to leave. Since he left, he never called me once. Do you think we are being too hard on him?" I asked. "Hard on him? What's been hard on him?" Alex asked.

"Everything," I replied.

"He's the future Alpha Emma. We need to start preparing him for it," Julian declared.

"I know he is but..."

"Do you want him to become a leader who can't guide his people on the right path or do you want him to get rejected by everyone? You do know that can happen right?" Alex asked.

"Of course I don't want that. It would be horrible," I said. I didn't want to think about that possibility.

"So you see, he needs to learn. We need to make sure he can handle the pressure of a pack. Mady can always help him out. He won't be alone. You can't keep treating him like a baby. He's a grown up man that's going to take over from us. I'm sure he's not avoiding you. He might just be busy. Xander told me they had a lot of activities planned out for this year," Philip assured me.

"I guess you are right," I muttered. But I still felt uneasy. I'm going to accept this for now but if I notice anything amiss, I won't hesitate to bring it up again.

"Are you satisfied now?" Alex asked with a small smile.

"I will be, after I speak to him," I said, bringing out my phone.

"Go ahead," Philip probed. I dialed his number and it rang but he didn't pick up. I called Mady too but she didn't respond either.

"They must be busy with something. Let's call them later," Julian suggested.

"I wonder what they are so busy with," I mumbled to myself.
