Owned By Her Triplet Bullies
(Bk 2) Chapter 103

Mason's POV

I stood on the terrace of my room taking my time to appreciate the scenery. I had no idea it was so relaxing because I only went there when I had a problem and needed to think. But standing here now, I could feel the peace and see the true beauty. I suddenly heard a knock on the door which made me turn around. Father Alex peered in.

"Can I come in?" he asked.

"Sure," I replied, trying to leave the terrace and meet him in my bedroom. He stopped me with a gesture of his hand.

"It's okay. There's no need to come out," he assured me. He came in with a glass of wine in his hand.

"Do you want some?" he asked, standing beside me. I shook my head.

"I will pass," I responded. We stood in silence for a while as I wondered why he was here. We do have conversations before but I always knew about it. This time it was unannounced.

"Where is mum?" I asked.

"She's in the hospital with Mady. Vivian is at John's house, that's the only place she seems to be these days. Philip and Julian are in the study working. I took a break to get some wine, that was when I saw your door open and I decided to come in," he explained.

"Okay," I muttered.

"The air is refreshing this evening," he stated.

I nodded. "It is."

"You must be surprised that I'm here. I can see it from your expression," he replied with a smile.

"I'm not surprised. Just curious," I responded.

"As expected. I came to apologize," he started.

"Apologize again? But you already did," I said in surprise.

"Out of the three of us, I feel like I pushed you into replaceing your mate and becoming Alpha more. I did that to satisfy my conscience," he admitted.

"I'm not sure I understand," I replied slightly confused.

"It's true we all didn't want you to become like us but I felt like it was more of my responsibility to stop that from happening. I was the elder brother but I was unable to lead my brothers in the right part. I thought if I could do that for you, I would be able to redeem myself but I ended up causing more harm than good. And for that, I'm sorry. I should have realized the damage I was causing to you," he explained remorsefully. This was the first time I had seen him this way. I always thought he was a cold unapproachable Alpha who only cared about the pack and the Alpha title but now I knew otherwise.

"It's fine. I'm not upset anymore, this was also partly my fault. I should have spoken sooner but I always thought that I could handle it all on my own," I replied.

"I guess we are alike in that sense," he mumbled.

"We've had too many misunderstandings. I hope we can get along better this time around Father," I said with a smile.

"Of course. I would love that," he replied. We both stood in silence but it was a comfortable one. I've realized we both had a lot in common. We liked to keep to ourselves and not let others figure out what we were thinking, it was kind of like our own protective barrier which was why we had so many misunderstandings. We never admitted what was on our minds.

"Alex, why is it taking you forever to get a drink?" I heard Father Julian call out to him. I smiled.

He sighed. "That's my cue," he muttered before leaving. Today was I and Lexi's one-month anniversary. It felt just like yesterday but it's already been one month since we started dating. One month of happiness and peace. I didn't know if she remembered but I wanted to plan out something special for her. It was getting late so I set out for her place. I heard her parent's voices from the living room when I arrived. I stopped, not wanting to go through the front door. Thinking about the numerous times I had been there within one month to take Lexi away, wasn't exactly looking too good from a parent's perspective.

I thought of an idea and went through her window instead. This was my first time trying something that crazy but it wasn't too hard to climb up. When I reached her window, I saw her sitting on her bed and scrolling through her phone.

"Lexi?" I whispered. She paused and glanced around without looking towards the window. The thought of me climbing up her window didn't occur to her.

"Am I hearing things now?" she mumbled to herself.

"You are not. I'm over here," I called out louder this time around. She turned towards the window and gasped when she saw me.

"Mason, what are you doing there? Did something happen to our door?" she asked curiously as she walked towards the window and pulled it open.

"The door's perfectly fine. I was trying out a new exercise," I replied.

She chuckled. "By climbing up my window? My parents are in the living room aren't they?" I got caught within a minute.

"Come with me," I said to her.

"Where? It's already so late," she replied.

"I promise we won't take long. Your parents won't even know you are gone," I assured her.

"Can I ever say no to you?" she inquired before taking my hand. We slowly climbed down the window together.

"It's not far so I didn't bring my car along. Get on my back," I said, getting down on one knee. "Why are you being extremely sweet today? Are we celebrating something special?" she asked before getting on my back. I stood up and walked to our destination at a slow pace.

"Do you have any plans for your future? After college, what do you want to do?" I asked curiously. It seemed like everyone around me had their lives planned out. Mady wanted to become a doctor and Torres already had a job. I was curious about Lexi's dream.

"I'm not entirely sure but I want to explore the world of scents more," she responded. I hummed in response.

"You should. You are f*****g perfect at it," I replied.

"What about you?" she asked. Aside from being Alpha, I wanted another job that was going to make me fulfilled. I wasn't sure what it was yet but I was keeping my options open.

"I don't know yet. Probably become a professor or something else," I muttered.

"A professor will be so perfect for you. I mean, you could become anything with how perfect your brain is but a professor suits you more since you are so good at tutoring. But, I will have to open up my business close to where you work," she said.

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"The students you teach and the other female professors are going to inevitably have a crush on you. The males might too since your looks tend to attract both genders. I need to stop that from happening at all costs," she replied firmly like it was already happening. I laughed.

"Don't worry. I only have eyes for you," I assured her. We got to the place soon enough. It wasn't anything fancy. It was just a place I found while I was taking a walk alone. It was like a hill above where we could see the entire view of the pack. The sun was setting, so it cast an orange

hue which made it more..."

"This is breathtaking," she whispered.

"You took the words right out of my mouth," I replied with a smile. "I didn't have time to

prepare something fancy or a gift but..."

"This is perfect. I don't need anything fancy as long as you are here with me. Happy one-month anniversary," she said, cutting me off. We both took a seat on the chair I had placed there.

"You remembered?" I asked in surprise.

"Of course and this time around, I brought a gift for the both of us. It's a couple rings. It's nothing too expensive but I hope you like it," she said, bringing the rings out. She placed one on my finger and the other on hers with a smile.

"I'm sorry. I didn't bring any gift but I will bring you something tomorrow..."

"It's fine. You've always been the one giving me gifts. I feel happy to be able to give you one," she replied. The night was clear, the stars above twinkled, and the cityscape sprawled before us like a glittering tapestry. I couldn't help but steal glances at her, my heart pounding with affection for the woman who had illum ated my world in its darkest moments. "Lexi?" I called out. She hummed and stared at me curiously. "I know I've said this often but I

want you to know that I truly, deeply love you. You are the light in my darkness, the one who makes every day brighter. You've brought warmth and love into my life, and I can't imagine a future without you. I love you more than words can express, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you," I confessed sincerely.

"You never fail to make me feel the most precious thing on earth," she muttered with a smile.

"That's because you are," I replied. She clutched my hand.

"Mason, you've filled my life with joy and love. You made me realize that love is indeed real and it's beautiful. You stuck with me despite everything that I put you through. I love you and I won't ever stop loving you," she said wholeheartedly. I could see her eyes shimmering with happiness. My wolf growled with approval.

With those words, we sealed our love with a kiss, the city below bearing witness to the profound connection that had been forged on that rooftop under the stars. It was a night of love, a night we would cherish forever, and a testament to the enduring power of our love. It was a celebration of the better days ahead and new beginnings. We might not be completely healed yet, we might still have some of those traumas and pain from the past but I knew that as long as we were together, we would overcome any obstacle, grow, and heal together.
