Pampered By My Mr. Lawyer (Benjamin and Madelyn) -
Chapter 193 I Love You! Can't Be More Certain!
Chapter 193 I Love You! Can't Be More Certain!
Vivian stood up straight and said slowly, "It's just the food."
Her words didn't completely reassure Madelyn. Madelyn was still doubting something.
Just then, footsteps could be heard outside, followed by a familiar voice, "Vivian!"
It was Jackson.
Vivian's body stiffened as she turned slowly to look at her former husband. She forced a smile and said, "I heard you had a son. Congratulations. When should we go to the local court so that you can register your precious son?"
Jackson didn't say a word.
His dark eyes stared at Vivian. At that moment, she looked fragile and beautiful, awakening all his good memories.
During their time in college, they were truly happy together.
Trembling, Jackson took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, skillfully took one out, placed it between his lips, and lit it before finally looking up and saying, "Vivian, let's start over!"
Vivian's voice trembled.
She sighed lightly, "Jackson, are you kidding? How can we start over when we've reached this point?"
After speaking, she felt a slight pain in her lower abdomen.
Instinctively, she covered it.
Jackson smoked his cigarette, his gaze fixed on her hand... He had guessed some things, but he pretended not to know. It wouldn't benefit him to expose everything. He swallowed his anger!
Choking on his voice, Jackson said, "I just want to reconcile with you. Pack your things and I'll come pick you up the next day."
As a man, he felt that taking this step was difficult.
But...
But they were both at fault. He could forgive Vivian, and he believed that Vivian could forgive him too.
Just as they were arguing, Grayson arrived.
Grayson handed Vivian over to Madelyn, took off his coat himself, and sneered, "Jackson, you have a son now. Why are you here? Do you want to get beaten up?" Jackson was angry to see Grayson.
This damn Grayson. He made a mess of his wife... made a mess of...
The two men were irrational and were about to start fighting.
A voice rang out, "Today is the Wyatt family's wedding. Even if you're jealous, you should consider the occasion."
As the voice fell, it turned out to be Benjamin who had arrived.
Benjamin was perceptive. He looked at Vivian holding her stomach and then at Jackson's impulsive expression, and he guessed what happened. However, he didn't expose it. Grayson considered Bryson and let go, but his face looked ugly.
Jackson took a step back, his gaze falling on Vivian's face, and he spoke softly, "Elizabeth's child is not mine."
This news was like a bolt from the blue.
In the past, people in this circle might have laughed and said that Jackson deserved it, but now... No one could replace it funny, especially when Vivian's face turned pale. She knew that Jackson didn't want a divorce anymore.
Jackson walked up to Vivian, his once handsome face now pale and flushed, and choked out, "Vivian, I was a jerk before, but I genuinely want to reconcile with you. I know you don't like me... But even if I have to spend all my fortune, I won't divorce you."
Vivian slapped him across the face.
Jackson took the blow, his eyes red. "We had such a beautiful past, Vivian. I can't let go!"
After saying that, he left, looking lost and desperate like never before!
Vivian cried uncontrollably.
Madelyn gently embraced her.
Grayson took Vivian's hand from her and politely said, "Madelyn, you should go back first. I'll take Vivian. We need to talk about something."
Grayson supported Vivian as they left.
Madelyn's mind was in a mess. She felt like she had missed something, and when she came back to her senses, she realized that only she and Benjamin were left at the scene. He was leaning against the aisle, quietly smoking, his eyes deep.
Madelyn didn't want to be alone with him and turned around to leave.
But an arm blocked her path.
Benjamin's voice was hoarse. "Do you really want to keep that little wolf dog by your side? I can give you as much investment as you want!"
Madelyn calmly spoke, "Mr. Clark, we have nothing to do with each other, and I have no reason to take your money. Move your hand. I want to go home."
He didn't move.
Not only did he not move, but he also looked at her with a strange kind of gaze.
Benjamin considered himself not a lustful man. He hadn't had any women around him before Madelyn, and he could live without them. But once he had Madelyn, cutting ties became difficult to bear. Under the crystal chandelier of the hotel, her delicate face was pale.
Her waist was slender.
He remembered the feeling of holding her body...
Benjamin's Adam's apple rolled slightly as he suppressed his desire and said gently, "You've asked me twice... You asked if I love you, Madelyn. I can answer you now. I love you... Couldn't be more certain." These cheesy words of commitment and devotion were something he used to disdain and rarely even thought about.
But he knew where her concerns lay, that she felt he didn't love her...
He also knew that saying it out loud wouldn't necessarily move her, but he just wanted her to know!
Though he didn't consider Nicolas a threat, Nicolas had still disrupted his plans. Originally, he had intended to slowly win her back.
After Benjamin finished speaking, Madelyn's eyes turned red.
She had once hoped to hear that. But now, what meaning did they hold?
Madelyn shook her head lightly, and without hesitation, she uttered a few words, "I don't want to."
She wanted to leave...
Benjamin grabbed her hand. "Madelyn, I'm sorry for making you upset."
"Let go!"
Madelyn's voice trembled slightly as she shook off his hand and hurriedly walked away... She had once loved him so much. They had once shared such passionate moments, but he had also inflicted deep wounds upon her.
In front of Benjamin, she would always remain indifferent!
...
Madelyn sat in the car, her eyes still red.
Little wolf dog Nicolas was already in the car, and when he saw her like this in the rearview mirror, he immediately jumped up and exclaimed, "Damn! Did you meet Benjamin? Do you still like him?"
"No!"
Nicolas, whose face was usually full of smiles, suddenly turned cold. "You deny it so quickly. There must be something fishy, right? Hey..."
Madelyn interrupted him softly, "Nicolas, you always joke around with me, but is your real target Benjamin?"
The little wolf dog immediately became displeased.
"Damn it! Don't say such disgusting things. I don't like men!"
But then he said the truth, "He offended me in Esrand and made me look bad. I even gave him a big gift at the time, but he didn't show any interest when he saw beautiful women. I really doubt if he likes women!"
Madelyn leaned against the back seat.
She listened absentmindedly, vaguely recalling something.
Before the new year, Benjamin went on a business trip to Esrand and had a dispute with Tyler. Nicolas must be referring to that night!
Madelyn also remembered that Benjamin had sent her a voice message that night.
So it was that night...
Nicolas continued muttering to himself, but Madelyn no longer paid attention...
