Chapter 711

Tina gritted her teeth and shut her eyes.

She thought that she was screwed.

The good part was that she had seen her daughter. Kara was sleeping soundly in Samuel's arms. It looked like she had been doing well.

At least, she was no longer in a state of constant apprehension as she had been with her.

Even without her mother by her side, Kara could lead a happy life.

Tina no longer had to worry about her.

She decided to give up when a childish voice came from the side.

"What are you doing? Stop it!"

Keith appeared on the stairs, bumped into the scene, and shouted.

His figure was small, but he had inherited Samuel's aura. Those servants subconsciously froze andlooked over.

Tightly gripping the rail, Keith watched the scene anxiously.

It would be terrible if the identity of her mother was found out by that jerk.

If Samuel found out that her mother was still alive now, then all her suffering would be for naught.

It would not be that easy.

Keith's palms were sweating, but he continued with a cold face, "Get your hands off her. I told you towear masks. Why did you take them off?”

His tone was condescending and authoritative.

Samuel watched, replaceing it both funny and annoying.

Keith was only five years old, but his bearing was masterful and intimidating.

Instead of paying attention to Tina, Samuel said, "I asked them to take the masks off. What do youthink you're doing?’

Keith widened his eyes in disbelief.

"Don't forget what you said!"

"What did I say?’

"According to you, when only the three of US are at home, I'll be in charge of the staff."

Keith said righteously, "You're the CEO of the Langford Group. Don't tell me that you're going back on your word. It's horrible that you lie to a

five-year- old child!"

Once the words came out of his mouth, Samuel was stunned.

If his memory served him right, he had indeed promised Keith something when the boy asked him if he would remarry, but that was because

Kara had clamored to climb over the wall and go to replace her mother while he had been in a hurry to attend a meeting.

But not like this.

Samuel sulked, "I did put you in charge, but you're making a scene by asking the servants to be dressed like this."

"I'm not making a scene. That's an unjust accusation!"

Keith said, "I'm just afraid that you'd be seduced by other women and randomly replace US a new mother." 1

"As a precaution, I asked all the maids to change their clothes, put on masks, and keep a distance from you. In this way, I could prevent

undesirable things from happening,"

Keith's explanations were plausible.

Then he went on to question his dad, "You're so anxious to let them take off their masks. Looks like your promise was nothing but a big fat

lie. Do you desire to get entangled with other women?"
