Alison let out a shriek as the corpse screamed at her loudly. It climbed off of the table and began to walk towards her unsteadily. Then the second corpse got up, turning to look at her and screaming, also go off the table and began to come towards Josh and Elizabeth behind her.

They were surrounded by the two walking corpses, and Alison found herself clutching the athame in her hands. The dead creature lunged for her and she tried to stab it in the chest.

Nothing happened.

She tried again. Nothing. But the dead corpse, possibly infuriated by the attack, grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her, bending closer as if to take a bite out of her.

She struggled against it, and Josh leaped into action, ripping the dead person off of her. Then the being grabbed Josh and wrestled him to the ground, taking a giant bite of his arm and tearing out a bit of flesh. Josh howled in pain and let out a yell.

Alison tried stabbing it again with the Athame but it did nothing but anger the beast. The creature began to strangle Josh as the second came up and attacked Alison and Elizabeth.

Elizabeth screamed as it grabbed her from behind and pulled her down to the ground, biting out her hair and tearing out a few strands only. It knawed thoughtfully on the strands, seemingly distracted and Alison tried once more to thrust the athame into the undead.

A voice echoed over them and the ceiling became engulfed in a shadowy inky goo of the soulless. The soulless dripped from the ceiling, forming as a puddle on the floor, little by little as its voice echoed in the air.

"Foolish humans. Not a blessed one among you. Just a couple of fools and a messenger that has never succeeded in her mission to send the message that could save the world. Why do you fight us."
