Chapter 129
Xavier’s face turned extremely gloomy, and he let go of Noah right away. He thought Noah, was too timid.
“Please don’t punish me, mister… I didn’t do it on purpose. I was scared…”
When the nannies outside heard Noah crying in the room, they thought Xavier was doing something evil to him.
Wendy, who had been taking care of Noah, risked her job and opened the door right away.” Mr. Lane, he’s still a kid. You can’t hit him.”
When she entered the room, she noticed that Xavier’s white shirt had a yellow stain. She immediately realized what was going on, and she looked away in embarrassment.
Noah was still pushing Xavier as he cried. “Are you mad, mister? Why aren’t you saying anything? When are you going to let me see my mommy?”
Xavier looked upset as he placed Noah back on the bed and quickly went to the bathroom. Then, he showered over and over again.
Whenever he thought about how mischievous Noah was, he wanted to punish the kid badly. Xavier couldn’t understand how a woman as gentle as Yvette could have such a son.
After an hour, he came out of the bathroom, and he smelled nice.
Wendy carefully approached him and said, “Mr. Lane, Noah has stopped crying. He even told me to apologize to you. He said he would be good and hoped that you wouldn’t take his life. He still wants to see his parents.”
When she said those words, she felt a chill run down her spine. It turned out that Noal wasn’t
Xavier’s son or relative at all. She also didn’t understand what Noah had meant when he had
asked Xavier to spare his life.
She felt like she had found out something she shouldn’t have, and she wondered if Xavier was going to silence her.
Xavier was surprised as well. He finally understood why Noah had peed his pants. It turned out that he had misunderstood Xavier. “I understand now.”
He didn’t have the time to hold grudges against a child. Before he left, he reminded Wendy to take good care of Noah.
Wendy let out a breath of relief. However, she kept thinking about Noah’s words.
Meanwhile, Noah was in the bedroom. He was over the moon when he heard Xavier leaving in
his car.
After he and Zachary had been born, they had peed on Yvette multiple times when she had

been taking care of them. He was surprised to see that Xavier had had enough after just once.
Noah decided to prank his bastard father more when Xavier visited again next time. With that” thought in mind, he didn’t feel like leaving so soon anymore.
After all, he couldn’t go for surgery now. So, he might as well take the opportunity to take care of his body. He would eat and live using Xavier’s money while messing with the latter at the same time.
Meanwhile, Xavier sat in his car. He couldn’t help frowning when he thought about how Noah had peed on him earlier. He asked the bodyguard, “Where is Yvette now?”
“She’s still at Dewberry Manor,” the latter answered.
Xavier smelled the odor on him once more. After he was certain there was none left, he closed his eyes.
The car moved slowly and arrived at Dewberry Manor after an hour. Xavier got out of the vehicle and went straight into the house. After taking a few steps, he heard someone playing the piano inside.
He followed the melody and looked into the music room through the glass window. Yvette was sitting in front of the piano and playing a piece of music that he had never heard before.
Her long hair was draped over her shoulders, and her slender fingers danced on the keys. beautifully. Sometimes, she would need to make sure she got the rhythm correct. Since she couldn’t hear properly, she had no choice but to put her foot on the floor to feel the music.
Her ear had recovered a little. When she had been abroad a few years ago, she had made a lot of mistakes in her pieces. So, she needed to listen to the music and correct it nonstop.
She didn’t have any space to work on her pieces at the office. But she had remembered that there was a music room in Dewberry Manor.
She used to visit this room a lot and had liked spending her time there when she had first.
married Xavier.
However, he had thought that she was noisy and said, “Stop wasting your time when your hearing is impaired.”
When she thought about it now, she thought he had been really mean. As the memories flooded back into her mind, she started playing the piano faster, and the music started to sound dramatic.
She didn’t even realize that Xavier was standing at the door at that moment. He quietly stood there as he watched her in astonishment.
Finally, the piece was over, and she stopped playing. Then, she realized someone was looking
