After hanging up, Angeline got up to leave the room and headed to the annex house behind themansion.

Upon seeing Angeline's arrival, the housekeeper hurried to welcome her. “What brings you here, Mrs.Surrington?”

The annex house was where the housekeepers lived, and their employers wouldn't usually visit such aplace.

Angeline glanced at the house before asking, “Is Lawrence's wife here?”

The housekeeper was a middle-aged woman who had spent half her life working at the Surringtonresidence. When she heard Angeline's question, she sighed. “Lawrence's wife was admitted to apsychiatric hospital after going insane. Lawrence has been attending to her at the hospital recently.”

“What do you mean she's gone insane? What's going on?”

The housekeeper raked her gaze across her surroundings. “She kept talking nonsense aboutDragonhill Mansion being haunted and hearing a little girl's laugh in the mansion.”

Angeline felt extremely upset upon hearing the housekeeper's words. “Are you serious?”

The housekeeper responded frantically, “Lawrence's wife is just blabbering nonsense. Of course, wedon't believe her.”

Angeline, however, was concerned. Dragonhill Mansion was built on a hillside and located in the

suburbs. There were rumors going around that Dragonhill Mansion, which people used to fight over tobuy, looked like a graveyard more so than a residence now.

After giving it some thought, Angeline felt that something was off as well.

Despite the fact that Zayden was blind, she couldn't let him stay in such a cursed place. She decided tostop relying on Gwendolyn and travel to Dragonhill Mansion herself to persuade her son to returnhome.

Therefore, she decided not to tread lightly anymore and prepared to make a trip down to DragonhillMansion.

When Angeline returned to the main building, she summoned several housekeepers. “Follow me toDragonhill Mansion, you few.”

Two male housekeepers and a female housekeeper responded to Angeline respectfully, “Yes, Mrs.Surrington.”

Gwendolyn arrived home after a two-hour drive. When she entered the house, she saw her threechildren playing in the living room.

Juliette was watching TV, while Julian and Justin were busy working on their laptops, respectively.

“Get him, Julian,” said Justin faintly.

“Okay,” Julian responded.

A minute later, they both laughed. “We've finally caught him!”

Hearing their laughter, Juliette turned around to look at them, asking, “You've caught the bad guy?”

Julian answered, “Yeah. This website suffered severe losses after being hacked. They hired Justin andme via Hackernet to help them capture this hacker named Spy. Now that we've caught him, Justin alsoset up a strong firewall for the hacked website.”

Although Juliette couldn't completely comprehend her brother's explanation, she did understand thatJustin and Julian had earned money again.

She heaved a sigh and said, “The hacker would be furious if he knew he was captured by twochildren.”

Camille left the kitchen and went to Gwendolyn, who was changing her shoes at the entrance. “Gwen,how's Zayden?” Camille had been worried about him, so she quickly asked Gwendolyn as soon as shesaw the latter.

Therefore, she decided not to tread lightly anymore and prepared to make a trip down to DragonhillMansion.

Gwendolyn felt stressed out at the thought of Zayden. She shook her head. “He's giving up on himselfnow, as he isn't willing to see anyone or get medical treatment. It's a tricky situation.”

Hearing that, Camille couldn't help but say, “I'm sure he can't accept his condition. I feel so sorry for

him. Can he be healed?”

Camille's remarks stunned Gwendolyn. Zayden used to be a handsome and talented young man.However, he had become so skinny that it pained Gwendolyn to see him like that.

I hope he'll still eat some of the ravioli that I brought him, even when he doesn't feel like eatinganything. It used to be his favorite food, after all.

“He will recover. Medical technology is extremely advanced nowadays, so I'm confident he willrecover,” Gwendolyn reassured Camille.

Meanwhile, the three children made their way over to Gwendolyn, and Juliette started running to thelatter.

“Mommy! I missed you!” Juliette pounced into Gwendolyn's embrace, and the latter patted Juliette'shair.

“I miss you all too,” Gwendolyn replied.

Julian said joyfully, “Congratulations on winning the award, Mommy. We watched the video, and youlooked gorgeous that day! “

Gwendolyn smiled when she heard that. “I should thank you all!”

At that, she lowered her head and planted a kiss on each of the children's cheeks.

A grin crept onto Justin's face as well. “Mommy, I've sent the video to Great-grandpa. He's delightedand wants to celebrate with you.”
