Please Go Away, Mr. Smith!
Please Go Away, Mr Smith! – Chapter 385: My Eyes Won’t Heal

The nurse was wakened up. She looked up with a sullen face. When she saw it was Sean, she quickly replaced her sullen expression with a smile and said, “She is downstairs, room 1203, bed 37!”

“Mr. Smith, shall I take you there?”

The nurse’s attitude was eagerly attentive. Sean lowered his eyes with disgust.

He shook his head and whispered, “No, I know how to get there.”

Sean walked to the stairs, turned back, and whispered to the nurse who had a surprised expression, “Don’t tell others that I came to the hospital today.”

The nurse was stunned, then nodded.

The ward where Cindy stayed was downstairs. He went there through the safe passage.

There was only one bed in the ward. Although the bed was a little small for them, Amber slept particularly peacefully with Cindy in her arms.

The ward was spacious. Sean’s eyebrows were knitted slightly.

Amber was smart. She would know that this nice ward was also his favor, right?

Last night, she warned him to stay away from her and her daughter, and in a blink of an eye, she accepted his favor.

As expected, she was cheeky enough.

Sean was upset, turned around and left the hospital.

She got into the car but didn’t leave at once. He adjusted the driver’s seat and lay on it, holding Amber’s card protector, and paging through it.

There were other photos in the card protector, but none of them were about him.

Most of them were Cindy’s pictures. The cutest one was that when Cindy was just born, she held her hand in her mouth with her eyes closed. She was fleshy and didn’t look like a premature baby.

Sean pulled the picture out.

After losing the purse in Paramount, Amber never even looked for it. These things were probably not that important to her.

If Cindy acted up again, he could threaten her with this photo.

The next morning.

Cindy was supposed to have the operation at nine o’clock in the morning.

Amber waited until it was 9,30, but no one came.

She stopped the nurse in the round and asked about the situation.

“Miss, my daughter has an operation scheduled at 9 o’clock, but no one has come…Was the time of her operation changed?”

There was a somewhat alienated smile on the nurse’s face, “Please wait. If we are going to give her the operation, we will notify you.”

Amber had no choice but nodded and went back to the ward.

Cindy was sitting on the bed alone with bare feet, holding a doll in her arms.

“Mom?”

Amber responded.

Cindy rubbed her eyes. Amber was not far from her, but no matter how she rubbed her eyes, she couldn’t see Amber’s face clearly.

Last night, Amber had already comforted Cindy.

Cindy knew clearly what was wrong with her and even knew that the doctors might need to cut open her eyes.

But the endless waiting made Cindy panic.

“Mom, am I… already blind and can’t heal?”

Amber felt sad.

She approached, reached out and rubbed Cindy’s head. She asked in a low voice, “Why do you say that?”

“Didn’t you say the operation will start at nine?”

“Mom, I woke up at seven o’clock, but I’ve waited for so long… Why haven’t they come?”

Cindy’s big black eyes were covered with a mist.

Amber’s heart contracted.

Sean was right. Being her daughter was too pitiful.

She offended Sean, and her daughter suffered it.

She licked her dry lips, stretched out her hand and rubbed Cindy’s head, “Don’t be afraid. Your eyes are okay. I promise you. The operation will start half an hour later!”

“But don’t cry when you take the injection.”

Cindy wiped away tears and whispered, “Mom…I’m not afraid of pain.”

Amber rubbed her head again.

After soothing Cindy, she went straight out of the ward. At this time, she was unexpectedly calm.

Sean was doing this for Lin Man. He canceled Cindy’s operation.

She knew that as long as she apologized to Lin Man and admitted her mistake in front of him, they would stop doing this.

But Amber didn’t want to do that.

If the hospital didn’t perform surgery on Cindy, she would transfer Cindy to another hospital. If the experts refused to perform the surgery, she would do that for her.

On the other side.

In the car at the entrance of the hospital, Sean was awakened by a rush of ringing.

He glanced at the screen of his mobile phone. It was the dean of Tong City Central Hospital.

Sean rubbed his sore head, reached out and picked it up, “What’s the matter?”

The dean’s voice trembled, “Mr. Smith… Mrs. Smith has gone through the discharge procedures for Miss Smith…”

The sleepiness in Sean’s eyes instantly disappeared.

He sat up straight, and asked in a cold tone, “What did you say?”

Sean raised his wrist and glanced at the time.

It was almost eleven o’clock. He thought that Cindy’s operation had been completed.

A thin layer of anger covered Sean’s face.

Amber was not considerate of her daughter at all. After using him, she took her out of hospital immediately!

Was she trying to get away from him?

Then why did she take great pains to marry him three years ago?

Sean’s eyelids twitched suddenly. He frowned deeply and whispered to the phone, “What did the doctor who performed the operation on Cindy say? Will she recover soon after discharge?”

There was silence on the phone.

The dean shivered and was too scared to say anything.

A bad presentiment rose in Sean’s heart, “Why?”

“Mr… Mr. Smith, I had a drink with you at Ye Se last night. You… You said you wanted Mrs. Smith to move out that ward…”

“I asked the doctor not to operate on Cindy until I asked him to…”

Sean’s breath paused. The dean said in a choked old voice.

“I planned to tell him to operate this morning… But after I woke up… Miss. Smith has already been discharged from the hospital.”

Sean was panicked.

Cindy didn’t have the operation?

Why did Amber take her out of hospital? She didn’t want to treat her daughter’s eyes anymore?

“Mr. Smith… I…”

“If Cindy is blind, I’ll gouge out your eyes!”

He hung up abruptly and then called Amber.
