Please Go Away, Mr Smith! – Chapter 396: I Helped You Marry Into the Smith Family
Amber’s eyelashes trembled. She reached out and covered her arm.
“You actually dodged?”
Amber raised her head and looked at Mrs. Smith firmly. She was expressionless, and the look in her eyes was calm and terrifying.
Mrs. Smith was suddenly frightened. The words she was going to say was stuck in her throat.
“Mom, I’m here to resign.”
Resign?
Mrs. Smith didn’t believe it. The Smith family was fabulously rich. If Amber was willing to resign, she would have resigned long ago.
She rolled her eyes, then turned upstairs, found the previous divorce agreement, then stuffed it into Amber’s arms.
“Then sign the divorce agreement. The scandal has grown in intensity. 5% share of the Smith Group is already a great grace for you.”
“Be smart!”
Mrs. Smith’s tone was mean. At this moment, her face in the dark was exactly the same as that of Sean.
“The Smith Group will suffer losses. If the situation becomes worse, you won’t get a dime.”
Amber raised her hand, and threw the divorce agreement into the air.
Mrs. Smith’s face instantly became more gloomy.
“You!”
“Amber, Sean hates your guts now. If it weren’t for you, he would have been with Lin Man three years ago.”
“I helped you marry into the Smith family. Even if you don’t sign this agreement, you won’t get any benefits from Sean either.”
Amber snorted without any emotions.
Mrs. Smith’s eyes darkened.
“Mom, it was not me who came between Lin Man and Sean but Lin Man who came between Sean and me.”
“Lin Man, you, dad, and Sean. I don’t owe any of you.” Amber curved the corner of her mouth and whispered, “You should have known this three years ago.”
“But it doesn’t make any difference. You don’t care who your daughter-in-law is. You only care if your daughter-in-law can save Sean.”
Mrs. Smith’s expression changed.
Mrs. Smith was afraid of losing her son. Amber was right. She wanted her daughter-in-law to save Sean.
Back then, she agreed to Amber and Sean’s marriage because Amber’s bone marrow could match with Sean’s.
Mrs. Smith took a deep breath.
The sound of footsteps came from the stairs. Mrs. Smith turned her head. It was Tomas.
The floor was a mess. He saw it at a glance.
Leaning over and picking up a piece of A4 paper, Tomas glanced at the content on it casually. Mrs. Smith turned pale with guilty and was unable to speak.
“Ruyun.”
Mrs. Smith raised her head and looked at him.
With the light behind his back, Tomas’s back bent slightly.
Mrs. Smith pressed the corners of her lips, and did not answer.
“You drafted this divorce agreement?”
Mrs. Smith glanced at Amber who was standing aside indifferently.
She frowned, and the hatred in her heart kept growing, almost occupying her mind.
“Yes!”
“Can’t I do that?”
Tomas, “Why?”
“Three years ago, Amber was infamous. If it weren’t for her bone marrow, I wouldn’t let her marry Sean at all.”
“Unexpectedly, she even entered the Smith Group with your help.”
Mrs. Smith’s eyes were filled with coldness, and the corners of her lips curved contemptuously, “She and Sean lived in two separate places for three years. Instead of giving birth to Sean’s children, she spent our money to raise her little bastard. It isn’t too much for me to draw up a divorce agreement!”
The blue veins on Tomas’s forehead stood out. Amber thought he would get angry, but he resisted his anger and even smiled.
“What you said makes sense.”
“But you are wrong about two things.”
“Amber has never spent a penny of the Smith family, and Cindy is not a bastard.”
He was resorting to sophistry!
Tomas thought she was a fool?
“By the way, you don’t have any right to distribute the shares of the Smith Group.”
They had been married for decades, but he did not hesitate to embarrass her for Amber?
Mrs. Smith’s heart seemed like being placed in hot oil, but apparently, Tomas hadn’t finished speaking.
He looked at Amber and said, “Amber, I will also draw up an agreement for you.”
“After you and Sean are divorced, you don’t have to donate bone marrow to him anymore. Because you are raising our Smith family’s child, I will give you 8% of the Smith Group’s shares…”
“Tomas, are you insane?”
Mrs. Smith interrupted Tomas.
8% of the Smith Group’s shares were not different from a golden mountain.
Most importantly, she didn’t have to donate bone marrow to Sean?
“Why don’t you think of Sean? You want me to lose all my children?”
Tomas sneered, “It doesn’t make much difference whether we have such a son or not!”
“I am doing it for your son. He will regret divorcing Amber one day!”
After this, Mrs. Smith no longer dared to make Amber divorce Sean.
Amber said, “Dad, you know better than anyone. My intention of marrying Sean was not for the money of the Smith family.”
“Even if you draft the agreement, I won’t sign it.”
Amber smiled, “Cindy is a child who needs a good example. I am not disabled. I can make money on my own.”
“I will work hard to give her a good life.”
Tomas was silent. Mrs. Smith couldn’t help but turned to look at Amber.
Amber seemed to be really not interested in everything about the Smith family.
Before the two could react, Amber had already gone upstairs and taken Cindy down, “Dad, Cindy’s eyes have not recovered. I’m taking her back to the hospital.”
“The driver… will send you back.”
Mrs. Smith said a little awkwardly. Perceiving Amber’s sight, she raised her head high and said with an arrogant face, “Why are you staring at me like that? It’s not easy to take a taxi here. Now you are the focus of the media. If they see you leave in a taxi, our Smith family will be disgraced!”
Amber nodded and said, “I know.”
She knew Mrs. Smith was high maintenance. Maybe she didn’t hate her anymore though her tone was still very mean.
…
Sean didn’t go back to the old mansion, but sent Lin Man to the hospital.
He sent her to the Second Hospital.
The second hospital was a little closer to the airport. Lin Man took off the mask. Her face was swollen, and her features were almost distorted.
