Please Go Away, Mr. Smith!
Please Go Away, Mr Smith! – Chapter 430: Why Hasn’t Dad Come Back

Amber rubbed Cindy’s head and whispered, “Yeah.”

“Why hasn’t dad come back yet?”

“He is parking the car. Mom is here with you. You sleep.”

Cindy nodded.

Amber sat on the edge of the hospital bed, and raised her head, looking at the infusion bottle.

With a fever, Cindy was in a low spirit, and soon fell asleep again.

Amber lifted the quilt and checked Cindy’s wound. After making sure that there was no problem, she pressed her lips and felt relieved.

When Sean arrived at Xingyue Bay, half an hour had passed.

It was too late, and there was only a solitary street lamp at the gate of Xingyue Bay.

Sean got out of the car. The hot wind came, and the shadows of the trees shook.

He took out a key from his pocket.

Last time, he lied to Amber. He did not return the key to her. In fact, he wanted to have the key very much.

Amber had built a wall around her heart, and he couldn’t break through it anyway.

His father took sides with Amber. If he fought Amber for Cindy’s custody, he would not help him.

Sean walked directly to the gate. Sean looked at his indistinct shadow on the ground, and his heart seemed to be fried in the fire.

He put the key away, raised his hand and knocked on the door. There was no movement in the room.

Sean hesitated and waited a long time before opening the door with the key.

He turned on the light, and lowered his head to change shoes. Amber’s slippers were neatly placed in the hallway.

Sean froze.

Amber was not at home?

He frowned and opened the shoe cabinet. He didn’t know much about Amber’s shoes, but he remembered the high heels Amber wore in the manor.

But that pair of shoes was not in the shoe cabinet.

Sean took a deep breath and walked in.

There was a snow-white sunscreen on the sofa, and a can of beer in the living room. Sean squeezed the can. It was empty.

Next to the beer can, there was a bowl of instant noodles, but it was not opened.

Amber probably only drank a can of beer last night without eating anything.

Sean didn’t know what was wrong with him. He turned around and opened the door of Amber’s bedroom.

The bed was a bit messy, but the light from outside was enough for Sean to see that Amber was not in the bed.

Sean didn’t go in, but walked to the study.

There were many books on the bookshelf, and a notebook on the desk. Sean walked over and there was a document on the desk.

It was the divorce agreement.

Sean’s heart contracted when he saw these two words.

He picked it up.

Its content was similar to that of the one Amber gave him.

The only difference was the time. It was printed three years ago.

Amber signed her name.

Her name seemed to be engraved on it.

The two words “Amber White” gripped his heart.

Sean didn’t believe that Amber would give up the shares and money of the Smith family.

If it was all because of love, what he did three years ago was enough for Amber to let go.

The world was full of excellent people. Sean didn’t think he was outstanding, and he never believed Amber’s words.

He knew clearly that all Amber wanted was everything of the Smith family.

Sean’s fingertips fell on an item.

After the divorce, the custody of the children shall belong to Party A.

Party A was him.

Three years ago, Amber wanted to divorce him and give Cindy to him.

Sean stood in the study and recalled what he was doing when Amber signed the divorce agreement.

At that time, he hated Amber for breaking him and Lin Man. He fooled around with other women in nightclubs, trying to change Amber’s mind.

He suddenly laughed.

If he could be more reliable three years ago, he might have married Lin Man and had children with her.

To be honest, Amber thought of everyone in this divorce agreement, except for herself.

Sean’s chest was like being blocked by stones.

What a selfless woman.

He began to hate Amber. Since she was so selfless, why did she force him to give her that huge wedding?

If she didn’t force him, he wouldn’t hate her. If she did that for Cindy, couldn’t she adopt a gentle approach?

She was so smart. She must have plenty of ways to let him know that Cindy was his child.

Sean sat in the chair in the study.

He waited in the study for a long time, but Amber did not return.

He thought that Amber would probably not come back.

She was bent on divorcing him. He didn’t know what trick she would play.

He didn’t know if she would fool around in the bar every night and have scandals with different men to force him to give in.

Thinking of Amber holding other men’s hands and nesting in their arms, he almost suffocated.

He touched his chest, and there seemed to be a huge hole on it.

The cold wind blew in, making him shiver in cold.

Sean picked up his phone and called Xu Lin.

At four o’clock in the morning, if there was any big news, the paparazzi would already put it on the internet.

“Check if there is any news related to Mrs. Smith on the internet.”

Mrs. Smith?

“Mrs. Smith? Your mother?”

Xu Lin asked cautiously. Sean was speechless.

If it was not Xu Lin, he would think the person on the phone was making a fool of him.

“No, my wife. Amber!”

Xu Lin became even more confused. He was a little surprised, “Mr. Smith, isn’t Director White getting a divorce with you?”

Sean didn’t speak. Xu Lin, who was a little drowsy, instantly sobered up.

Xu Lin laughed awkwardly, and took the order from Sean immediately, “Mr. Smith, I’ll check it right now.”

Sean responded okay and then hung up.

Coming out of Xingyue Bay, Sean received Xu Lin’s call. Xu Lin said, “Mr. Smith, there is no news about Director… Mrs. Smith.”
