Please Let Me Go
Chapter 15 She Was Such A Beauty

"Where are you going?"

Adelaide suddenly expected he could talk to her more, if it can better their relationship, and then aged Granny's coming and effort for them would be meaningful.

Antonio gave her a look and didn't speak.

Then his phone rang and the expression on his face softened because of the call. Adelaide even didn't have to guess who it was, and she lowered her eyes, returning to her room silently.

Sure enough, she shouldn't have any illusion about their relationship. It was solely because of Granny that he had to sleep in one bed with her and even eat the food she helped for him. And a call from Clarissa would instantly bring their relationship back as before.

"Adelaide, now, there is nothing more important than taking good care of Granny and the baby in your belly. Just stop thinking about Antonio and that woman!" Adelaide tapped her face and warned herself.

When she was in a self-pitying mood, Antonio came back, with his leather shoes clicking on the floor. She jumped up from the sofa and walked to the door, seeing him moving towards her room with a cold face.

"Dress yourself properly, we're out."

Looking at her dowdy appearance, he can't help rubbing his eyebrows with his index finger. The discontent look on his face didn't escape Adelaide's eyes.

With her hands on her hips, she asked in an exasperated voice, “Do you think I'm very unseemly now?"

Antonio raised his eyebrows and didn't answer her. She then lowered her head and looked at her dress.

She was wearing a nightgown with cartoon pictures on it. She became more careful since she got pregnant. In fear that trousers with elastic at the waist would be bad for her baby, she had to give up those beautiful pajamas. So she found out the nightdress that she intended to throw away. It was not exactly a nightdress but simply a longer version T-shirt.

But it was comfortable to wear, and it was also why Adelaide didn't throw it. She also stopped using skin care products since pregnancy, so it was understandable that her skin status was not as good as before Adelaide rumbled discontentedly.

But he had no patience to take her complaints and sighed to himself, "Just hurry!"

"Oh." She said unwillingly and immediately turned back to her room.

In the large closet, there was no one piece of clothes that she can wear, all designed with the waistline exactly around her waist. She shouted at the door, "No suitable clothes. Where are we going?" "Attend the party!" he said impatiently and looked down at the watch, "Forget it, come out, and I'll take you to buy one."

And she walked out, still wearing her dowdy nightdress.

Antonio just can't have a good face for her. No one would go out in pajamas to buy clothes? He can't understand and he didn't want to, just turning around and moving.

They drove to the city's largest shopping mall, where there were various boutiques of famous brands. Shop assistants were well trained there and they wouldn't slight customers on words or services because of the way they dressed.

They were very clear that people shopping there all were stinking rich, and even if one or two dressed poorly, they were just being low-profile.

Antonio led her straight to the clothes section on the second floor. They walked into a store.

His face was like carved sculpture with distinctive features. His charming eyes closely stared at the person beside him, which seemed to darken all the others. The light blue shirt without any creases seemed to be intentionally unbuttoned at the top two buttons, adding more charms to the meticulous suit.

"Heavens, he's so cute!" We can't blame the girls for being lost in his attractive look. It was just that his dashing and good-looking face can't let people overlook it. On the country, Adelaide looked ordinary like an ugly duckling beside him.

"Good afternoon, lady and sir, welcome to AS shop. Would you like to buy man's clothes or lady's clothes?" the first to respond was a woman in a suit with a light make-up, and a small card on her chest showed her position.

Manager, Alia Salas.

"Lady's clothes." Antonio simply spat out two words.

"Okay, follow me, please."

Other shop assistants also got back to their mind. They followed behind Antonio, wandering what the woman beside him had done to be paired with such a charming man, since she was so ordinary. The manager saw that Adelaide's figure was well-proportioned, with a slight bulge at the belly alone, but she didn't bother to cover it. Alia wisely chose a pale blue sleeveless dress for her, which can perfectly show her slender arms.

Although it was a V-neck dress, its neckline was cleverly designed to only show women's collarbone, which not only highlighted Adelaide's beautiful body shape, but also avoided being vulgar.

One of the most successful details about this dress was its design of the waistline, which was decorated with a belt to freely control the tightness, while it fit well starting from her shoulders. At the crotch place of the dress was embroidered with golden flowers, echoing with the falling flowers scattered at the skirt.

And particularly, the color of this dress went perfectly in line with the shirt Antonio wore.

Antonio didn't have much response, because he knew that Adelaide can always win people's sight wherever she was. But it was indeed unbelievable for the shop assistants' eyes that Adelaide now was a pretty Swan after changing while a moment ago she was still Cinderella.

She didn't take off her new dress, and they came to the shoes section on the third floor. The whole showed abundant shoes for man and women, but they didn't have much time to choose carefully, so they walked into a shoes store arbitrarily. Antonio pursed and said, "Done quickly."

"Fine!"

Adelaide had a rough look around the store and stopped her sight on a pair of white sneakers which looked comfortable to wear. Antonio's face clouded, and he said, "Sneakers? Are you serious?" She stuck out her tongue, "Can't I just have a look on it?"

"Miss, please help us replace a pair of high-heeled shoes matching the dress. The size of the shoes should be 37.5, with the right one having insole while the left one not."

Hearing this, Adelaide was shocked. She didn't expect that he remembered the size of her feet. Antonio laughed at her first before she opened her mouth, "Anyone could remember such a weird size." And he often made fun of Adelaide for this. But Adelaide was a little angry that he laughed at her in front of so many people, so she turned around and ignored him.

He loved to see her losing her temper in a cute way, and he put on a smile.

She completely changed into another person in high heels, as the old saying goes, fine feathers make fine birds. Antonio felt relieved that they were in a women's shoes store, or he completely had reasons to believe that Adelaide would attract a crowd of onlookers, because she did stand out in the crowd.

He nodded in satisfaction, and Adelaide gave him a sweet smile.

Lovely as their tacit interaction was, they didn't notice a woman at the opposite shoes store was staring at them with malicious eyes.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
