It’s Gone

I told you.

Don’t wait.

I warned you to listen…

It left.

Can you see me now that it’s gone?

Forever in my head

Engraved in my soul

The sigh in my breath

Consuming a storm

It’s cold.

The more you’re here

The more I try

The more you live

The more I die

But it’s gone… Can you see me?

Set me apart

Do as you must

Another thrash

Consuming rust

Inside of me

I’m in dismay

It left my soul

“Come back” I say

No!

You see me now that it’s gone.

The journey leads to the heart

But where does the heart stay?

Inside the box filled dismay

Where does it start?

It sets me apart.

No more to say

Out of the way.

I can’t feel.

It’s gone.
