President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free
Chapter 168 Blood is Thicker than Water

"I know you." Addison stared at the woman in front of her for a moment, "Viola."

Among the few rumoured girlfriends of Joseph, she was one of the most stunning women. Besides, she was a public figure. It was hard to not know her. Before returning to China, she thought that Viola was the real opponent of hers, since she had stayed by Joseph's side for six years after all.

"I hope you don't misunderstand me." Viola seemed to have expected that she would be recognised. She was very calm.

Addison frowned and sneered directly, "What exactly are you trying to say? With your previous relationship with Joseph, I don't feel your words are credible."

"Let's hope that you can still say that after listening to my words."

Viola slightly raised the corner of her eyes and her gaze looked deep, "I've been around Joseph for more than six years. Not long ago, we were already about to get married, even the hotel for our wedding ceremony had been finalized. Did you know about this?" Addison glanced at her and looked unpleasant.

"It seemed like you knew." Viola's gaze was even deeper, "But did you know the reason why Joseph suddenly repented and cancelled our wedding?"

"Because of Hayden?"

Upon hearing this, Viola smiled and looked contemptuously, "You've known Joseph longer than me. Do you think that he will cancel the wedding for a woman that he have just known for few months?"

She stared at Addison.

"It's because of Noah."

Addison clenched her fist tightly.

She knew that Joseph had a son. After she was married for more than a year, she heard news in the country that a new grandson had joined the Beckham family, but she couldn't replace out who the child's biological mother was.

Over the years, she had also heard that Joseph really pampered his son, Noah. He brought his son everywhere he went. Noah seemed really important to him.

"How important Noah means to Joseph, I think you should have heard of it. Then, do you know that Noah is particularly fond of Hayden? It is on this basis that Joseph takes Hayden into account in becoming the young mistress of the Beckham family." "What are you trying to say?"

Addison thought that this woman wasn't talking straight on the point.

If Joseph was getting married, the relationship between his girlfriend and his baby son couldn't be that bad. Even if she didn't hear anything, it wasn't difficult to analyse from her understanding of Joseph.

Viola slowly spitted out six words that spoke volumes.

"Blood is always thicker than water."

After parting on bad terms with Addison, it would be the weekend after two days. Hayden had already picked her two children home from the Beckham family's old mansion actually, but she suddenly received a notice from the hotel to work overtime this weekends. Hence, Hayden could only bring her two children to the hotel together.

She let the foreman take them to the children's lounge as usual.

"I'll come to take you to lunch during the lunch break at twelve o'clock noon. Try not to run around before that and don't follow anyone out of the hotel."

"Okay mommy, you should go to work now. I'll take care of Noah." Stella's voice echoed in the lounge.

Hayden squeezed her little face and warned, "You can take care of Noah? It's good enough that you don't cause any trouble. Also, don't encourage your brother to run around with you. Do you hear me?"

"Ouch, it hurts." Stella broke free from Hayden's claws. She pursed her lips and sat on the sofa unhappily, "Mommy, you almost disfigured my face."

Hayden ignored her words. Comparing with Stella's naughtiness as she jumped around like a monkey, Noah was much more obedient. She patted Noah's head and said gently, "Look after your sister and take care of yourself too, okay?"

Noah nodded solemnly.

In fact, there was no one in the hotel who didn't know the Noah's identity. Everyone looked carefully wherever he went as they were afraid of losing their job if Noah was harmed. Hayden didn't worry much since there were basically no sign of danger as long as these two kids did not leave the hotel.

When she just arrived at the office and put down her things, Jeff knocked the door.

"Boss, Manager Duncan notified a meeting at nine thirty."

Hayden nodded her head, "Alright. Print ten copies of the customer complaint records this month and take these copies there."

There had been a lot of things in the hotel in recent months. The preparation of various major events had led to the increase in number of provisional constructions. Thus, it caused dissatisfaction among some customers. The number of complaints was greatly increased as compared with the previous time. This matter had been discussed in the meeting two days ago and Manager Duncan asked her to propose a compensation plan.

After organizing the information, Hayden went to the conference room to attend the meeting.

She wore a three-quarter sleeve suit with houndstooth design, which made her look executive. The projector slide showed her solution to these large-scale customer complaints and talked about it concisely.

"Specifically, the customers who stayed at the hotel during the construction could be compensated whether or not they have come to complain about it. In addition, for customers who have complained about it, we can give them an extra half a year of free accommodation, the reason would be that they have given us constructive advices. We must clearly explain this aspect when drafting instructions or docking with the customer service. Don't let them mistakenly think that we're bribing them to keep quiet, or else it will backfire at us..." The meeting lasted for two hours, and it was almost lunchtime after the meeting. Jeff held the documents in his hands and followed Hayden to ask her about the details. As soon as she got to the elevator, a loud alarm suddenly sounded at the hallway as the safety lights on the wall flashed wildly...

With the sound of the alarm in the entire hotel building, she looked tensed, "Call the security department."

Jeff immediately made a phone call. After talking on the phone for a while, his face turned pale. "What?"

"What's the matter?" Hayden asked in a hurry.

Jeff quickly hung up the phone.

"Boss, they said that the back kitchen had caught fire. The fire control instrument failed to operate. They already called the fire-fighters here, but they didn't know when the fire truck would arrive."

Hayden was shocked and quickly responded,

"Notify all foreman service personnel and evacuate immediately."

"Okay, I'll go now." Jeff ran away in a hurry.

Then, Hayden pressed the button of elevator. She stood still for a few seconds before she suddenly remembered that the two little kids were still in the lounge. She suddenly felt anxious and turned to run towards the staircase.

The children's lounge was empty.

"The little young master was taken to the bathroom by the foreman, but I didn't see Stella."

Hayden was frightened. After asking several people in a row, she had already reached the conflagration area. The smoke at the door of back kitchen surrounded many people, and there was a pile of used fire extinguishers scattered at her feet. All of them looked anxious and under pressure.

She heard on the way that the soon-retiring head cook, Arnold Bevis was trapped in the kitchen.

"They're coming out!"

In the thick smoke, a middle-aged man stumbled out with a white figure on his back. The people at the door quickly came forward to help him

The middle-aged man was out of breath and said,

"Hurry, there's still a child inside. It seems like Ms. Downey's daughter."]
