President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free
Chapter 202: What I Hate the Most Was Being Threatened

"What?"

Hayden was astonished after hearing his words and she stared at him in bewilderment. It took her a long time to regain her consciousness.

"You really said that?"

Dante swept a glance at her.

"You looked like you weren't at her side at that time?"

Hayden clenched her fist and cursed Alayna who lied to her again.

No wonder before she came, Alayna kept saying that her senior was not good-tempered and told her to build up her tolerance. It was because he didn't agree with what she requested that she said like that. If Alayna was not lying in the hospital in a coma, she would really like to call her on her phone and scold her.

But at the moment.

"Mr. Bruke, since I am here, can you spare some time to talk to me about the intention of our cooperation? We can negotiate whatever you request."

Hayden smiled, but she was cursing Alayna inwardly.

"No need. I told you I have no request. I am satisfied with my current life."

"We won't force you if you don't want to."

Joseph pulled Hayden back and gestured for her to keep quiet, "Mr. Bruke, do you mind if we take a look around your house?"

"Feel free to do so, there's nothing valuable here."

"I am just a bit curious as I have never been to a place like this before. Can I go inside?"

Before Dante realized, Joseph had already taken a big step into his house.

"Who lets you go inside my house?"

Dante chased after him furiously that the broken chair at the door was kicked over by him.

Joseph only crossed the threshold and stood at the door of the house, but Dante blocked his way, opening his arms like a black chapped eagle.

Seeing the scene, Hayden was so frightened that she thought the two men were going to fight and she was busy blocking between the two. "Sorry, Mr. Bruke, we didn't mean to do it. We will go out now..."

In the dimness, Hayden saw something on the table when she glanced into the house quickly.

There were design drafts scattered all over the table, white or yellow drawing papers which were colored, as well as all kinds of design drawings of the clothing. Even though none of the elements were similar to the current styles in the major stores, the designs were so outstanding that people would remember them at a glance.

At first, Hayden didn't quite believe Alayna who said that he was a genius, but now it seemed like she was right.

Having lived in such a remote place for five years, his designs would not be disturbed by current trends of consumption that consumers preferred and they were invariably fresh and unconventional.

"Mr. Bruke, you have been designing the clothing."

Hayden lifted her head in surprise.

Her eyes were so blunt that they actually suppressed Dante's temper. He frowned, saying in a deep voice.

"It has nothing to do with you. You two can go out now."

"If you are hurt because the boss of your previous company did things in a style that made you unhappy, then I can assure you that my company will not do something like that. We will not plagiarize others' work, and you can design your work in whatever style you want and won't be interfered by anyone." Hayden spoke in a sincere tone. Alayna had told her that Dante had left the design industry because the previous boss had gone too commercial and ended up with a problem with his clothes, which resulted in the whole company blaming the designer for the fault. That's why he was disheartened and stopped working as a designer.

""No need."

Dante said coldly, "Your company is not a charity, and the designer is not a dreamer. There is always a gulf between the ideal and reality. One shall stand, one shall fall, so there is no need for that."

After finishing his words, he turned around and tidied up the design drafts on the table, "You guys can leave now."

It seemed like Dante would not be persuaded by her and he was unshakable. Hayden was depressed.

Joseph gave her a sideways glance and frowned. He told the tall man in the house in a loud voice,

"What if I say that you can still continue your old life here, and your life will hardly change except you need to give us your designs once in a while?"

"I don't have to ask for trouble in my life."

They weren't surprised hearing his answer.

"Let's go," Hayden tugged on Joseph's sleeve.

She wasn't the kind of person who liked to force things on people either. Dante obviously just didn't want to get involved in these matters anymore, so it's no point to force him any further.

Joseph stretched her hand to the back and held her hand, blocking the entrance like a statue, "Of course, if Mr. Bruke doesn't agree, I also won't come here for nothing. I plan to develop Sea View Town into a resort area."

Hearing Joseph's words, Dante stopped tidying up the design drafts. After confirming Joseph was not joking, his face turned gloomy suddenly.

"You are well-prepared. The owner of the grocery shop, Tom told you that, right?

Hayden's face turned pale. How could Joseph threaten him like that? Friendly relations should exist between the two parties even if they failed to clinch a deal.

"For a nobody like me, you are really willing to go to great lengths," Dante smiled coldly and slammed down the stack of sketches in his hand.

"But what I hate the most is being threatened."

He stopped talking for a moment.

"You can go ahead and develop the town into a resort area, and I can move out of here before the development is completed. There are plenty of quiet places to live, not just Sea View Town."

Hayden felt that she was in a difficult situation and Joseph made her into trouble.

She wanted to smile and say something nice, but before she could open her mouth, Joseph said something first.

"My company is doing a project of building a resort, and coincidentally, Sea View Town is a strategic place in terms of geography. As the president of the group, there is no reason not to do it when I see such a big chance of making money out there in front of me. However, for your information, this matter has nothing to do with her. She and I are not in the same company."

Joseph glanced at Hayden, showing a faint smile in his eyes.

"My original intention was to give up the development of this place for her sake if you agreed to work for her as a designer, but you don't seem to appreciate it, Mr. Bruke."

Dante clenched his fist, "Why did you have such courage to say such words?"

"You have also worked in Nanking. If you haven't heard of me, you should have heard of ST Group, right?"

Joseph looked at him and smiled faintly, "Introducing myself formally, my name is Joseph Beckham."

Hayden felt very disgruntled seeing Joseph's abusing his power and bullying him. After gritting her teeth and enduring for half a day, she finally couldn't bear to kick him and scolded him when he was grunting muffledly.

"Joseph, are you done with this? This is my company's business, and you don't have to get involved. I won't go back to work at ST Group even after you've done that."

Joseph had asked her if she wanted to go back to work at ST Hotel and she had already rejected him.

She didn't expect the man to use such an offensive tactic to prevent her from recruiting a talented worker! He was so unscrupulous.

Dante was very embarrassed.

No one would feel good being humiliated like that in his face.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Bruke. I apologize for the trouble I've caused you in. I'll take this psychopath away with me right now."

Hayden fiercely tugged on Joseph's sleeve before she finished her words.

"Let's go now."

"Wait." They heard his voice from their back.00000☐☐☐
