Chapter 323 There is Something I can’t Possibly Know

While saying that, the male doctor handed her a white handkerchief. "It's clean. I haven't used it."

Taking the handkerchief, Hayden said thanks and wiped her face.

Then she explained, "No, I'm just helping out."

"But you are pretty professional. Are you a medical student or?"

Hayden looked pretty young and was wearing a pink coat and a pony tail, so she looked just like a student.

Hearing his words, Hayden shook her head and denied, "I'm not a medical student."

"I don't believe it." The male doctor's eyes brightened up. "You must be a medical student. Judging from the way you evaluated the patient's traumatic condition, I'm 100% sure you are a medical student. Which hospital are you in? We're all just saving lives here." "I'm really not." Hayden got distressed. "People injured on the overpass should all be here now. I should go now."

Then the doctor suddenly got off the car and asked Hayden, "Can I add your Wechat?"

Before Hayden can even respond to his question, the male doctor heard a low voice, "Hayden, I've been looking all over for you. Let's just go home."

The male doctor paused and saw a handsome figure that was taller than him. He was even intimated by Joseph.

The male doctor got upset and just left.

Standing next to the ambulance, Hayden suddenly got nervous the moment she saw Joseph.

She really didn't expect that Joseph would be here.

"What're you doing here?"

Joseph walked towards her and didn't explain much, "Let's just go home and change your clothes. We can talk about this after dinner."

Looking at the blood stains on her clothes, Hayden nodded.

They both didn't mention the quarrel in the hotel this morning on their way home and were all silent in the cab.

Hayden directly entered the bathroom when she got back home. The pink coat was filled with the smell of hospital sterilized water and blood.

Being watered down by the warm current, Hayden was absent-minded.

She guessed that Joseph must want to talk about the breakup thing with her. After all, he said that he was the one who will decide when they would break up.

After shower, Hayden walked out of the bedroom and immediately smelled the scent of food.

It was a feast on the dining table.

"Let's have dinner first."

Bring two bowls to the table, Joseph got a bowl of soup for Hayden.

Hayden was pretty confused and looked at the clock on the wall. "It is already 12 o'clock. Are we having night snack?"

""Dinner."

Handing her the chopstick, Joseph asked, "Did you have supper?"

Shaking her head, Hayden drank the soup silently. Then she asked, "How would you know?"

"Anna told me."

"How come that she told you everything?" Hayden frowned. "What else did she tell you?"

"She also said the one who died in the emergency room was not you."

Hayden paused a bit and looked up slowly.

The light in the kitchen was pretty dim. What's more, Joseph was lowering his head the whole time. She didn't even notice that his eyes were all red like someone who had stayed up all night. "What happened?" Hayden was pretty confused and was wondering why would he be in the hospital.

Joseph took a deep breath, "Just have dinner first. We can have this talk later."

"Talk about what?" Hayden got nervous.

About the breakup?

"About what happened before we meet. Just everything between us. Everything will work out if we can just have a frank conversation."

"What if we can't?" Hayden sat up straight and stared at him. Hesitated for a bit, she asked, "Then will we just break up?"

She felt that Joseph was weirdly calm now which scared her greatly.

Joseph noticeably frowned when he heard Hayden's question. He then forced down the anger in his eyes.

"Just eat first."

Breakup was the last thing he would want to talk with her,

"I'm not hungry." Hayden frowned and insisted on hearing his words.

Then her belly just growled amid the silence and she coughed awkwardly.

Glancing at her, Joseph gave her a bowl of rice and said, "Just eat."

Hayden then let out a sigh. Because she didn't have lunch and had that fight with Franklin at the golf course, she was already hungry. She then just ate everything quickly.

After rubbing her belly, Hayden said satisfactorily, "Okay, I'm full now. What do you want to say to me? Go ahead."

Looking at her, Joseph said, "You probably know that if I want to know something, I can just have the result without asking you directly."

His condescending attitude made Hayden pretty uncomfortable inside.

Since the day one she met Joseph, he was someone who was always supercilious.

"But you know, I don't want to look into your things."

Hayden was taken aback by his words. She then looked at him.

"For me, I'd rather wish that you are the one who can share your things to me yourself. If you don't want me to know, I won't look into it. What's more, there are things that I won't be able to know even if I try." Pinching her fingers tightly, Hayden suddenly felt nervous.

"Have you even loved other men? How much do you care about me? How come that you would first think about giving up our relationship whenever something goes wrong? You know, these are sort of things that I really can't know." Sitting across her, Joseph's face was as cool as ever. But now, it seemed like something had cracked in his eyes.

That crack was the true love in his life and was a weak spot that he was willing to expose.

"You asked me what I want to talk with you, but I assume you were thinking about breakup. Well, it's exactly the last thing I will consider."

Staring at Joseph blankly, Hayden didn't know what to say.
