After running for about two hours, we dropped out of the trees. We were looking at each other as we were standing in, what seemed like, a flat part of the forest. The only thing on the ground was dead foliage.

We waited to see if we were where we needed to be. Matheus seemed to believe we were in the right place. We watched as he took out a handheld computer and typed something in it. As soon as he was done putting the information in the computer a short cylinder tube popped out of the ground. He put his eye at the end of the cylinder and his thumb on the back of the cylinder. The ground opened into a step of stairs.

“Damn, dude, you were seriously a lonely kid growing, weren’t you?” Flirt asked as he looked around. “What? You had to be thinking the same thing.”

Madrid slapped Flirt up the backside of his head. “We were thinking something else. Like, damn, he’s smart, glad we have him on our side.”

We snickered at Flirts pouting. He was like a child getting scolded. At least Madrid could, somewhat, keep him in line.

“Anyone else ready to get the weapons? I will need time to put the helicopter together,” Matheus asked, raising an eyebrow.

Didn’t have to ask me twice. I was ready to take a look at the explosives. Yes, I knew I was too happy about seeing the explosives but I’m actually excited about them for another reason. I was ready to blow up the compound and as many sick fuckers as I could.

Matheus made a grab on my arm. “Wait. I need to put in the code or the whole bunker will collapse. I don’t particularly want to be buried alive.”

“Uh, being buried alive doesn’t sound good to me either,” Digger commented, rubbing the back of his neck in nervousness.

I was bouncing on my toes, ready to look at Matheus’s bunker. I wondered if this one would be as impressive as the one in his other bunker. I couldn’t tell how big this bunker was. But, knowing my mate it would be impressive. Everything he did was impressive.

As Matheus put the code in the door to the bunker slid open. He waited for a count of twenty as everything settled. As soon as everything was settled, he smiled. “Welcome to the wonderful world of gadgets.”

I laughed, along with the rest of the men.

“I need two of you men to go up top and keep an eye out,” Madrid ordered.

Matheus shook his and smiled at the General. “No need. The bunker is shut and the forest floor looks as if no one’s been here.”

“Yay!” Eagle whisper yelled.

“Can we go in now, please,” I asked, still bouncing on my toes.

The guys laughed at me as Matheus opened the vault like door, ushering me inside. “After you, my lady.”

I shook my head at him as a small smile formed on my lips. My mate was a goofball. I don’t know how he could wear so many hats but I loved it. I walked in and stopped, gasping out in surprise. I turned back to Matheus. To say I was shocked was an understatement. The other place was stocked but this place...I was in weapons heaven. It was my kind of bunker.

“What the fuck?” I paused. “How in the hell did you get these many weapons and explosives?”

“My question exactly,” Madrid growled out. “Is everyone buying their weapons from the U.S. government?”

Matheus rubbed the back of his neck. “Not exactly.” Madrid growled. “No, not like your thinking. I made all these weapons, explosives included. Everyone of the weapons have special features to them,” he explained, coughing to cover his embarrassment.

“You made all of them?” Eagle asked, walking further in the bunker. Matheus nodded.

I went and looked around. I wanted to see why the weapons were special. I still had my heart on the explosives but I was curious as to what my mate meant. I picked up a rifle. It was light, lighter than any weapon I had ever handled. I looked through the scope. Now I knew why it was special. It gave the wind speed, the target distance and some other things I had never seen. I was lost in thought, trying to figure out what the symbols were for in the scope.

“Okay, bro, you’re going to have to give us a training course in what the symbols all mean,” Eagle stated.

Matheus nodded, throwing weapons to all the guys who weren’t holding any. “Okay, you should know the wind speed sign and target distance but the other symbols should be self explanatory.” We looked at him confused. “Arrg, okay, the symbol that shows a fire is for the mini rocket launcher. The symbol with the-”

“-are you shitting me? This also has a flame thrower and arrows? How the hell did you fit all this in this rifle.” I looked at the weapon closer. “Aha! It has cylinders for the flame thrower with the gas tube made in to the handle. Yeah, don’t want to drop this. Where do the arrows come out of?” I asked, finally taking a breath and looking around me. All the men had their mouths hanging open. Why were they looking at me like that? They should be looking at my mate in disbelief. “What?”

“Matheus, if you don’t marry this fine ass woman, who knows and loves all weaponry, then I am,” Warrior said, looking at Matheus when he growled at him. “What? You were all thinking the same thing I was.” All the men nodded.

I growled. “I’m not marrying all of you..” I trailed off. “I meant, forget it.” I blushed and turned away from the laughing hyenas.
