Psychopomp
Letter

Thousands of lines nurtured over thousands of years lie destroyed. Descendants from esteemed lineages that walked with the Ichorians are now reduced to stitches in a carrion tapestry, woven over the hills and throughout the fields. Weeks will it take the Psychopomps to cleanse the area, clear the bodies…to separate our departed from the perversities of the enemy…to clean and properly honor them so they may feast with the Ichorians in the Beyond.

How easy it is to destroy. Beholding the hell before me, I replace myself shaken. I pray, should we be triumphant in this tribulation, that our people and progeny will remain Worthy…. For I understand now why the gods abandoned our world.”

Letter from a Vesperterran Priest after the Battle of Megiddo Field
