Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1000
Miranda was from the southeast coastal region, where people were diligent and were good at making soup.
Every morning, she would serve Emily a bowl of nutritious soup. When Emily drank it, she would narrow her eyes with satisfaction. After finishing the soup, she wiped her mouth with a tissue and walked out of the dining room. Then she heard a low, happy voice coming from the living room.
"My wife is pregnant!"
Emily felt embarrassed and speechless.
From the moment he finished his breakfast, Simon, his legs crossed, sat on the sofa and began to make phone calls.
He almost called all the people he could in a short period, telling each of them that his wife was pregnant with a proud look on his face.
"I don't know whether it's a boy or a girl. It's just been more than three weeks!" Simon held the phone, his delicate lips curving up. He paused a little and said in an overly proud and self-satisfied tone. "Charlie, I'm a father now. Are you envious?"
As soon as Charlie heard this, he hung up the phone.
Simon was not discouraged. With ease, he continued to dial the next number. "Hello, Wilson..."
"Are you envious?" When he asked the same question, Wilson hung up the phone as straightforwardly as Charlie.
In their hearts, Wilson and Charlie must have criticized like this: How could you show it off before me? I was also a father!
Seeing that he slid the phone to call another person, Emily could not help asking, "Who are you going to call next?"
"Eldest brother!" Simon raised her eyebrows lazily.
However, he put down the phone in less than two seconds with a frown. Emily asked, "What's wrong?"
"It's turned off!" Simon humphed.
Emily rolled her eyes.
She raised her hand to poke him and said a little grumpily, "That's enough!"
Simon, his phone in his hand, remained silent. Emily thought it could come to an end, but soon, he glanced at her with his peach blossom eyes. "The man who secretly loved you since you two met in Country S, what's his number?"
"..." Emily was stunned.
She looked back at the clock hanging on the wall and asked him, "Hey, it's nine o'clock. Are we going or not?"
After getting the diagnosis of pregnancy in the hospital yesterday, Simon felt much gratitude to the temple. He got what he had prayed for. Upon returning home, he kept muttering that he had to go back to that temple to redeem a vow, so they decided to go together this morning.
Hearing this, he finally put down his cell phone. "Let's go!"
It was Saturday, and a lot of people came to offer incense in this temple.
The temple halfway up the mountain was not a large one. Looking from the foot of the mountain, they saw many people moving around the temple. The fresh air in the woods smelled nice. Also, there was a Sandalwood smell, which could make people calm and concentrated.
Simon was afraid that she would be tired, so he just let her wait in the car.
However, Emily did not think that she was not so delicate and insisted on going up with him. Almost every ten minutes or so, he would force her to take a break. Fortunately, the temple was only halfway up the mountain.
There were more people in the temple, and most of them were elders.
Like the others, Emily bought a small bunch of incense sticks and put them in an incense burner. Although the ice city in spring was still cold, the sunlight was strong enough by noon.
She took a rest under the shade of a pagoda tree to enjoy the cool. In the main hall next to her, Simon knelt down on the praying mat in well-mannered silence, clasping his hands with absolute sincerity. Seeing this, Emily could not help but smile. She really did not know when he became so superstitious!
Five or six minutes later, Simon finally came out, pulled out many big wads of cash from his wallet, and put them in the charity box at the door.
When he walked up to her, she could no longer hold back her curiosity and asked, "You're just here to redeem a vow to a god, aren't you? But why did you kneel there for so long?"
"You want to know?" Simon raised his brows.
"Emm!" Emily was eager to know the answer.
Simon cast his deep eyes on the Buddha statue in the hall behind him with a sincere expression.
"Please protect our child. May our baby be healthy and well at birth!"
Because they had lost a baby, he cherished this baby even more.
Simon felt happy as if their lost baby had come back, so he became much more cautious this time.
Emily was stunned for a moment, and her heart softened.
She landed her eyes on his handsome face, staring into his pretty eyes full of deep affection.
At this time, she, feeling a great compulsion to kiss him, became a little nervous.
Emily held his big hand tightly, trying hard to cool herself down.
She kept reminding herself that kisses were forbidden in the temple!
The breeze in the early summer of the north made Emily feel cool and comfortable.
Today was a lovely sunny day. Under the cloudless blue sky, Emily held a book and sat comfortably on a swing under a grape trellis at the side of the building, which was just able to shade her from the sun. There was a pot of freshly brewed red dates and wolfberries on a small table next to her.
Everything was just fine!
Emily stretched herself out full-length. When she lowered her head and was about to read the book, Miranda came out and said, "Mrs. Chin, the master called to tell you not to stay outside for too long!" "I know!" She replied with a smile.
Simon did not allow her to go to work since she was pregnant for two months.
On this matter, she did not protest with him much. Instead, she accepted his suggestion. They had lost a baby, so she knew how much he cherished the baby this time and did not want him to worry. Miranda stood there and added, "Mr. Chin told me to make sure that you entered the house and then called to report it to him!"
Emily smiled helplessly and sweetly. "Fine, fine. I'll go in now!"
In the evening, after finishing all the operation, Simon returned home a little later than usual.
It was not too late. Emily had been waiting for him to sleep. She watched him walk out only in a bath towel. There were still drops of water on his muscular chest. Under the light, his athletic body looked so tempting.
He was as good-looking as a male model from a movie!
Somehow, her gaze fixed on him aroused Simon sexually.
In particular, her slightly opened red lips looked as beautiful as blooming flowers. In Simon's eyes, it was her silent invitation.
Simon's Adam's apple slightly moved as he lifted the quilt and got on the bed. He could not prevent himself from pinching her chin with his slender fingers. Then, there came his passionate kiss. Emily's eyes were closed, trembling slightly like a tender bud.
Feeling her small hands on his shoulder, Simon opened his blood-shot pretty eyes. With a hoarse voice, he said, "Hmm?"
"Darling, it's been more than three months!"
Since she was pregnant, some things like making love were not allowed for safety reasons.
Every night, they would hug each other and sleep together. She knew that Simon tried hard to endure his sexual desires. Most of the time, he had to take a bath in cold water to cool down. Emily bit her lips shyly for fear that he would ask some embarrassing questions. So, she whispered in his ear to remind him. "Ahem, Director Ye said we could do it after three months! So..." So, it meant that they could spent some intimate time together...
