Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1054
The master bedroom was very spacious, joined by the study room.
Although Anthea had visited it last time, it was the first time that she entered Adam's bedroom. Just like other rooms, the decoration in the bedroom also looked cold and manly.
As Anthea's eyes swept over the large bed, she swallowed her saliva unconsciously and followed him to pull out a chair to sit at the desk.
Imitatively, she took out the textbooks in her schoolbag.
Adam reached out to take them and read them carefully.
After entering the door, he took off his jacket, under which was a black T-shirt, slightly showing the outline of his chest. Anthea looked at his hands and noticed there was callus caused by using guns around his finger pulp.
When Adam read a page, he would clamp its corner with his thumb and forefinger. When he turned the page, he would pinch it with his index finger and middle finger. As Adam did all that, his speed was neither too fast nor too slow. He sat there with his back straight, showing a sense of calmness and a strong temperament.
After Adam finished browsing through the textbook, he said, "Let's start now."
"Yes!" Anthea sat up straight, looking like a good student listening to him obediently.
Adam turned his eyes from the textbook to her face and said lightly, "I remember you did a good job in the last exam."
Anthea suddenly felt nervous.
Her eyelashes trembled as if she was afraid that he would see through her mind. Her eyes drifted from side to side, "It's all right. I have some tricks!"
"What kinds of tricks?" Adam didn't understand.
Anthea rolled her eyes and said smartly, "For the multiple-choice questions, if three of the four options are long answers, choose the shortest one; if three are short, then choose the longest one; if two are shor and two are long, then choose option C; if four of them are of the same length, choose option B!"
"..." Adam frowned.
"Fine, she won!"
He took out a pen from the pen box, pointed at the textbook, and said, "Let's start with these two questions. I'll explain to you."
"Okay!" Anthea answered earnestly.
Adam leaned over his upper body slightly, making it clear for her to see. Then he patiently told her the steps, "Here, you need to simplify the original equation first. Then apply A equals or less than 0, and A more than O into it. I'll demonstrate to you first!"
The two of them sat side by side at a very close distance.
Adam put his elbow in front of her, talking next to her ear in a low and deep voice.
Anthea was so nervous that her posture was stiff. Smelling Adam's masculine scent with a faint smell of tobacco, she unconsciously licked her lips, feeling that their breaths were entangled together. She couldn't help staring at him.
Adam's face, which was always solemn, was looking very focused now. His facial features were handsome and hearty. When he spoke, her Adam's apple was moving up and down.
He was enchantingly masculine.
Adam raised his head and suddenly asked, "What are you looking at?"
Staring at Adam fascinatedly, Anthea was startled and blurted out, "I am looking at you!"
After saying that, she felt so regretful that she wanted to bite off her tongue.
Her cheeks flushed, and she felt the back of her ears was burning hot.
"Is there something on my face? Focus on the questions!" Adam frowned and tapped the pen on the table. Then he suddenly changed the subject and asked her, "Do you understand what I just explained?" "I understood!" Anthea nodded subconsciously.
"What did I say?" Adam questioned.
"Well, you just said..." Anthea hesitated for a long time. She raised her hand and scratched her head in embarrassment. Seeing that there was no way to fool him, she could only smile at him, "Well, Adam, can you explain to me again?"
Adam was speechless.
After reexplaining, Adam selected a few questions for her, got up, and went to the bedside to smoke.
Holding the pen, Anthea dawdled. It took her a long time to write down one or two formulas. There was a mess on the draft papers.
Even if Adam did not explain to her, she could still solve these questions.
It was only that...
If she sorted out all of the questions, she would make him feel that there was no need for him to tutor her. Thinking of that, she could not help but secretly look at him from the corner of her eyes and got in a trance again.
As the time passed, the sky outside had already fallen dark.
The moon was hanging in the night sky, like a little girl hiding behind the clouds, shy to show her face.
Anthea slowly put down the pen and spoke loud, "Adam, I've done all the questions!"
More than half of the cigarette in Adam's hand was burned to ashes and fell into the ashtray. In the smoke, his facial features were so blurred that it was a little hazy.
Anthea couldn't help asking, "Adam, are you in a bad mood today? What happened?"
Adam stopped sipping the cigarette paused slightly.
He had been in the army for many years and had been under militarized management all the year round. Moreover, he had been a calm person since he was a child, who was not used to revealing his emotions, but he did not expect that she could feel it.
"Nothing happened," he replied indifferently.
Seeing that Anthea was still staring at himself, Adam was swayed and told her what happened, "It was the death anniversary for one of my comrades-in-arms today. We had engaged in a mission half a year ago, but he died. I went to his grave today."
Anthea suddenly understood. No wonder he was late in the evening.
"Adam, if you're in a bad mood, I can give you a tip!"
Seeing that her eyes were bright, Adam asked, "What tip?"
Anthea blinked and said generously, "Buy a pile of instant noodles and pinch them! After pinching them, you'll feel better. And it won't be a waste if you cook and eat them after! It's very helpful. I won't tell other people easily!"
Hearing Anthea's words, Adam couldn't help laughing, thinking that it was only a childish idea.
He put the ashtray on the windowsill, walked back to her side, and sat down, "Let me check the questions you've done."
Adam checked all the questions she had finished and marked out the mistakes. Then, he explained the method. Anthea listened carefully.
Seeing him looking at the watch on his wrist, Anthea yawned and said with expectation in her eyes, "I'm so sleepy! The dormitory will be locked soon. Adam, can I stay here for one night?"
Hearing this, Adam pondered and replied, "There are still 15 minutes left. If I drive faster, you will make it back in time."
At this moment, there was no traffic jam, and she was not far from her school. If Adam speeded up a little, she could make it. Moreover, she had full classes in the morning.
Anthea pursed her lips.
Adam did not notice it and had packed up the textbooks and stationery on the desk neatly.
Afraid of wasting time, he got up first and walked out of the bedroom with the car key in his hand. Seeing that Anthea was still sitting on the chair, he couldn't help frowning, "Why are you still sitting?" Anthea yelled angrily, "I am going, going!"
