Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1075

Anthea pounced on him, hot-headed, as if she had summoned up all her courage.

Even a tall and strong man like him was also lurched forward by the impact.

In Adam's lowered eyes, he saw two bare feet on the floor. She ran so fast that she didn't even wear shoes. Her skin was white and her toes were like pearls.

His waist was tightly wrapped by her fair hands.

It was like a vine had wrapped itself around his entire heart.

A soft warmth spread from his back, and Adam seemed to be shocked.

As Anthea saw that he did not immediately push her away, she was encouraged, which made her hold him tighter, and her small face was attached to his sturdy shoulders and broad back. She was so young that she was not so shrewd as to play hard to get. She wanted to confess her feelings to him.

Anthea took a deep breath.

Her voice was soft and dreamy.

"I like you!"

She spatted out these words as if she had found a breakthrough. Anthea was no longer timid and no longer hid her feelings. She said all the words in her heart, "I really like you!"

The muscles in Adam's body became stiff. He folded his palm and asked in a deep voice, "Do you know what you are saying?"

"I know!" Anthea looked up at the outline of his profile. "I said I liked you! You are the first man I have ever liked. I know it's wrong, but I can't control my feelings! Uncle Adam, I like you..." The voice of a young girl expressing her love was so pure.

Adam felt that the fire in his heart was set on again.

But "Uncle Adam" was like a splash of cold water, pouring on his head.

It gave him a quiver and put out the fire in his heart. There was no longer any heat left. The only thing left was pain.

Adam said in a low voice, "Are you done?"

He forcefully pushed away her hands that were wrapped around his waist.

Just like when they were in front of the hospital bed, no matter how hard Anthea tried, she was still left behind by him. She staggered back, and some

distance between them appeared.

Adam turned around and looked at her calmly.

The light in the ward was dim. His dark eyes were like black gems with all his emotions hid behind.

Anthea couldn't see through his mind or guess what he was thinking.

She bit her lips, "Uncle Adam..."

"I would only treat it as a junior's messing around. I won't take it to heart. Don't do this again." Adam said.

His tone was even gentle, like that of a senior who was educating his junior.

And she was like a naughty child who had made a mistake.

"I'm not messing around. I'm serious!" Anthea gritted her teeth and felt sore in her heart.

"Don't you have any feelings for me? You saved me more than once. After the appendix operation, you stayed with me all night. You rushed over as soon as you knew I was in danger. Before I fainted, you were holding me so tight and told me not to be afraid..."

"That's just the concern for a junior." Adam explained like it was nothing important.

Anthea was unwilling to give up, "Can't you accept me?"

Adam kept a straight face, or in other words, he kept a poker face.

Seeing this, Anthea clenched her hands. She suddenly took two steps forward and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him.

This wasn't the first time but there was a feeling like an electric current running through.

The temperature of her lips froze Adam.

Anthea had no experience of kissing. She was very naive and innocent. She approached him and put her hands on his shoulders. When she clumsily wanted to get closer to him, she was pushed away violently.

This time, Adam pushed with some strength.

Adam was not gentle this time, and it seemed that the push was like a punishment.

Anthea reacted quickly so as to avoid falling on the ground.

After she steadied herself, she saw the dim light shining on his face, making his face cold and determined. In his eyes there were turbulent tides of sea at night.

Anthea got gooseflesh. Cold sweat broke out on her back.

Adam suddenly lowered his voice. With rage, he pointed at her and said, "Anthea Lee, if you dare to do this again, believe it or not, I will beat you!"

Anthea shrank back a little.

His face was mature, handsome, and mixed with anger. He looked so fierce.

She was a little scared and murmured, "Uncle Adam..."

"You know that I am your uncle?" Adam asked her back, "What you just said and did is suitable for a niece? Quit your improper mirage. It shouldn't exist. And it shouldn't be me."

His voice was still so low that it pressed down like a layer of cloud, making Anthea hard to breathe.

Anthea was on the verge of breakdown, "Why can't we..."

Adam's voice was cold, like the water in the deep lake without any undulation, "The game of adults is not suitable for children."

She didn't take it as a game. Hearing the latter part of his sentence, Anthea couldn't help explaining, "I'm not a child. I'm an adult. I'm 18!"

She had already graduated and was about to enter university soon...

It meant that she was already an adult!

"You are aware that you're 18, so you should know what you should do and what you should not do." It seemed that Adam was waiting for her explanation, and directly contradicted her words.

With his pupils slightly shrinking, he continued, "I care about you out of the concerns of an elder to a junior. If you are not a child of the Hsu family and not my wife's niece, I will not care about you at all. Do you understand?"

He was nine years older than her and there was the unsurpassable gap between them.

Adam's voice was as sharp as cold steel, "Remember, I'm just your uncle!"

He saw that she bit her lips tightly, her palm-sized little face was pale, her black and white eyes were filled with tears, and her eyes were red.

"Have a good rest." Adam said in the end.

The door of the ward was closed, and his back was cold and hard. Without hesitation, he left.

Anthea didn't stop him, nor did she have any strength to stop him. Her legs were as heavy as lead, and she couldn't move at all. She squatted on the floor in disappointment. Not only her courage, but also all her strength had been drained.

She felt a dull pain in her heart, as if it had been cut by some sharp and cold steel.

A nurse on patrol saw her through the crack of the door and hurried in, "Girl, are you okay? Why are you sitting on the ground? It's so cold! Come on, I'll help you get up!"

The nurse wanted to help her back to the hospital bed.

As soon as she stood up, Anthea pushed the nurse away and ran to the window.

Looking down from the window, she found that the jeep had already disappeared, and her eyes got wetter. She crawled back to the bed with bare feet and curled up like a little kitten.

When the nurse who was pushed away saw this, she only felt that the girl was abnormal. She left as if she was avoiding a plague.
