Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1077
"Transfer to Francis?"
Anthea was shocked in a daze due to the sudden news.
No matter what the servant said, she couldn't hear a word. She didn't care what the servant thought of her behavior and walked out of the villa.
They would be in the opposite sides of the country.
"How should he went so far all of a sudden and for so long!"
For no reason, Anthea felt that he had transferred there on purpose. Was he trying to avoid her?
Because of her confession...
Anthea's heart was sinking.
She took out her cell phone from her pocket and quickly scrolled down the telephone directory. She stopped when the words "Adam Chin" were displayed on the screen.
She held her breath and dialed his number. But there was only the mechanical female voice of the system from the speaker, "Sorry, the subscriber you dialed can not be connected..." Anthea thought of the servant's words that the plane should have taken off at the moment. It was very likely that he had already left the city and was going to Francis far away. She walked along the private road of the Hsu family. The blazing sun was shining over her head, and her forehead and nose were sweating.
When she walked to the main road, the mobile phone suddenly vibrated, and Anthea lowered her head excitedly.
The light in her eyes went out in an instant, and her hope crumbled to nothing.
"Anthea, now that your part-time job is over, come out and have fun! I'm out of luck recently and kept losing games! I want to play all night with you and get to a higher rank! Hurry up!"
It was a call from Leonardo. There were noises coming from the phone.
Anthea just looked at the cars passing by in front of her.
"I've found a new internet bar. The environment is awesome. Where are you? Come here quickly!" Leonardo said a lot by himself. Without hearing her response, he asked, "Hello, Anthea Lee, do you hear me?"
Actually, she indeed wasn't listening to him.
Taking a deep breath, Anthea made a decision and gave an irrelevant answer, "Leonardo, I'm going to replace him!"
She had made the decision just before she answered Leonardo. It was the peak season, and it was also during the golden week for traveling. It was hard to book a plane ticket. And there were no nonstop flights.
Anthea bought a train ticket from ticket scalper that night.
The train would take 48 hours to travel to Francis. She didn't even pack her luggage. She just held a backpack and went on the train. Impulsion was the devil.
One might make a regretful decision under the spur of the moment and the enthusiasm might end up with regret one second later. Anthea sat in the hard seat of the train. Even though she knew how impulsive she was, she still stubbornly insisted on replaceing him. Young girls would always put her whole heart and soul into love.
When she thought of it after many years, Anthea only felt that she was very stupid.
Berth tickets and seat ticket had already been sold out one week ago. She sat by the window, and beside her was a mother holding her child.
When the mother knew that her destination was the last station the train was to stop, she asked in surprise, "Girl, are you alone?"
"Yes!" Anthea nodded.
The mother with her child would only sit on the train for a few hours. She said with concern, "It's such a long way to go. Two days and nights on the train. Are you going to visit your relatives? Why isn't your family with you?"
"No!" Anthea shook her head and said bashfully, "I am going to see my boyfriend..."
The mother was stunned when she heard this and nodded her head in understanding. She thought that she was going to see her boyfriend in another city. She sighed, "Young indeed."
The train stopped and started. The person sat beside her became a middle-aged woman and then a middle-aged man. At 9:00 pm on the third night, she finally arrived.
Anthea followed the crowd to the exit, and many people came to pick up their friends or relatives with plates of names being raised up high.
She stood in the crowd and didn't know what to do.
Everything around her was unfamiliar. Most of them were speaking dialects that she couldn't understand. Anthea was only eighteen years old. It was the first time in her life that she had gone on a long journey. She gradually became nervous.
How could she replace him in such a big city?
She didn't even know which troop he was in, or where the military base was...
Avoiding men who was looking at her, Anthea found a security guard and squat down beside the guard and gave Adam a call.
The call was answered.
Anthea's nose twitched, "Uncle Adam, it's me!"
"Em." Adam's voice was indifferent. He asked directly before she could say anything, "What do you want? I'm busy. If there's nothing important, I'll hang up."
"Don't!" Anthea said hurriedly.
She looked around the railway station and told him, "Uncle Adam, I'm in J City now!"
"Where did you say you were?" Adam was surprised.
Anthea clenched her phone and repeated, "I'm in the train station of J City. I'm in Francis!"
Adam remained silent for two seconds, and his tone became more serious. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you!" Anthea tried to steady her voice.
I scaled mountains and forded streams, only to see you.
"I'm very busy. I don't have time to see you," Adam said.
Hearing his perfunctory and indifferent voice, Anthea gritted her teeth and asked, "You don't have the time to see me, or you don't want to see me?"
"Buy the ticket now, and go back." Adam's voice was emotionless.
"I won't go back!" Anthea also got stubborn, "Uncle Adam, I'll wait for you here. If I can't see you, I won't go back!"
Then she hung up the phone.
In order to show her determination, Anthea also turned off her phone.
She squatted where she was, her arms around her knees, and her chin on top of them. She was like a kitten that had been lost.
The bold side of Anthea came to play again.
She didn't even know if he would come or not.
Maybe he didn't want to talk to her anymore. Maybe he just thought she a hard nut to crack and wanted to leave her far behind...
As time went by, she couldn't feel at ease.
As the night deepened, Anthea gradually began to panic. Looking at the strange people in the strange city, she dared not think about what she should do if he did not come. With her fingers digging into her pants, tears gradually began swelling in her eyes.
A pair of military boots suddenly appeared in her bleary sight.
Shadows cast over Anthea's head. She looked up and burst into laughter through tears.
"Uncle Adam..."
Adam was dressed in a military uniform, short hair and charming eyes. His expression was cold and stern. The corner of his jaw was well-defined, exuding a masculine aura.
At this time, he stood in front of her. He was tall and strong, more charming than anyone here. His shoulders were dropped, and his momentum was overwhelming.
Adam put one hand in his pocket and held a cigarette in the other hand.
As the smoke billowed out, white mist filled the air.
His black eyes fell on her face. She was looking up at him eagerly, like a kitten finally found her master. Her expressive eyes were shining, and his facial features were reflected in her eyes. Adam's thin lips twitched, and he seemed to sigh helplessly, "Why squat here?"
