Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1085
Anthea sprang to her feet.
She asked the soldier who was running in the forefront, "What's going on?"
The soldier told her, "We just finished the rescue at the front line, and found a trapped aunt holding the child. Captain Chin went over on the rescue boat by himself. The child was frightened and fell into the water. Captain Chin went to save her, but he was scratched by the sharp rocks under the water!"
As soon as the soldier finished his words, Adam was supported to walk inside.
As he had said, Adam's right thigh was dripping with blood, and his camouflage pants were tainted dark by blood. Although Anthea couldn't estimate how bad the wound was, she was sure that it definitely wasn't good.
There was no extra expression on Adam's stern face. Even though he was injured, he did not frown. He only asked one subordinate to help and did not hobble when walking. He still had a strong aura around him.
Anthea quickly took the first aid kit and motioned for him to sit on the hospital bed.
The beds in the disaster area were all small single bed made of iron. The subordinates helped Adam over.
Anthea pulled a chair and sat next to him.
She cut open his pants with a pair of scissors, and huge amount of blood gushed out. She quickly grabbed the medical cleaning cloth and covered the wound with it.
The wound was too deep. Bones could be seen if it was two or three centimeters deeper!
Anthea gasped in shock.
Having been in the army for many years, Adam was used to injuries and did not pay much attention to it. In the rescue operation, he successfully brought back the trapped mother and daughter safe and sound which made him happy.
But when he saw the blood gushing out and falling into a large pool, he frowned and said, "Anthea, ask someone else to come and deal with it."
"No, I can do it!" Anthea didn't move.
Other medical staffs were all busy with other patients on their hands. Moreover, his wound was very deep, so she had to stop the bleeding as soon as possible!
Anthea bent over with a concentrated and serious expression on her face.
After a few minutes of working, she had a little sweat on her nose. She breathed a sigh of relief and said, "The blood has been stopped, and the wound has been disinfected, but it's very deep, and it need to be stitched!"
Adam looked at her in surprise.
Anthea continued, "I am afraid that my skills are not good enough, so I have asked Leonardo to call the teacher. He will stitch it for you in case of leaving a scar!"
"That's fine." Adam was calm.
For a soldier, it was normal to have scars. He had countless scars on his body.
Anthea's stitching skill was actually very good.
For the whole semester, she would stay in the dormitory after finishing the classes everyday, practicing stitching with a piece of pigskin. She was talented and also worked hard, so she was the best among all the students. There were reasons why Professor Vincent had regarded her as his favourite student.
Vincent had praised her more than once that she was born to be a doctor.
However, she was still unconfident and wanted her teacher to stitch for him.
When it came to him, Anthea was not willing to get by, even if it was just a scar. Anthea injected anesthetic for Adam.
After she had put away the syringe, Leonardo brought Vincent back.
Vincent was more than fifty years old this year. However, he was not fat like other middle-aged men. He looked hale and hearty and wore a pair of glasses. He walked in slowly. When he saw that everything was ready, he put on a disposable plastic gloves and began stitching.
After finishing stitching, Anthea went forward to wrap up the wound.
Vincent stood aside and looked at her with satisfaction. He nodded with appreciation and then turned around to attend other works.
After tying the gauze, Anthea put the tray aside and said, "It's done! Remember to to change medicine and gauze in the morning and evening. Don't let the wound get infected, and shorten your paces. Remember not to get soaked in water, or it will easily get inflamed!"
"Understood." Adam nodded.
The soldier standing aside asked with concern, "Doctor, is Captain Chin's leg okay?"
"Don't worry, it's fine!" Anthea smiled and motioned the soldier to go over and take a box of anti-
inflammatory drugs.
Adam's eyes moved from his wound to her face. "Have you had dinner?"
"Yes!" Anthea nodded.
Adam thought for a while and asked, "Have you gotten a place to live?"
Anthea nodded again and said, "Yes, the tent has been set up. I live with the two sisters of the medic team."
"Okay." Adam said in a low voice.
Anthea stood up from the chair and said, "Uncle Adam, you can go back now!"
She took a step back and made an obvious distance between them.
It seemed that ever since they met again, she had always been polite and respectful. As she said, she only treated him as an elder and would not entangle with him anymore.
During the treatment, she had been focusing on the wound all the time. She was completely a doctor treating the injured.
Hearing her respectfully and politely calling him Uncle Adam, the light in his eyes suddenly darkened. He got up from the bed and left with his subordinates who had brought the medicine back.
In the late night, the moon, which had been hiding for several nights, finally revealed its silver light.
However, the disaster area was different from other places. It seemed desolated. Especially in the residential area, people could hear vague crying of some from children who didn't know what was happening and of some adults who had lost their loved ones.
Many people rested, and many people were still busy.
Anthea came out from one of the tents, stretched her stiff back, and walked to another tent not far away, ready to go back to rest.
Not far away, a tall and strong figure was looking at her from a distance.
However, she did not notice that. She was yawning all the way. Leonardo, who was behind her, raised his eyebrows, "Anthea, your Uncle got hurt today. You must be distressed, aren't you?" "No!" Anthea denied directly.
"Then do you still have the same feelings about him in your heart?"
"I haven't had that feeling for a long time..." Anthea pursed her lips.
Upon hearing this, Leonardo let out a few hums and thought that she was being stubborn.
When she heard the news that Adam was injured at that time, she was so worried that she suddenly sprang to her feet. Only fools would believe that she didn't care about Adam at all!
He tilted his head and looked in a certain direction. Anthea didn't notice that figure, but he did.
Leonardo casually shook off the yellow hair on his forehead. It seemed that he had to do something...
Adam narrowed his dark eyes and smoke spread out from his mouth and nose. His flicked the cigarette and ashes dropped.
The injury on his right leg was no longer serious. His physical condition was very good, and he had been trained strictly all the year round. Such an injury did not affect him much. Thinking of the process of stitching, Adam fixed his eyes on her face all the time. The palm-sized face became brighter because of her focus.
He didn't expect that the little girl would transform into a white-clothed angel!
Ripples flashed through the depths of his deep eyes.
When Adam saw that the beautiful figure had disappeared in the tent, he withdrew his gaze, lowered his head, and threw the cigarette butt on the ground.
When he was about to go back and take a rest, he suddenly heard a man's voice beside him, "Hello, Uncle Adam."
