Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1087

All of a sudden, both of them were shocked.

They saw that Adam was standing in front of them, followed by Carter. His tall figure blocked the sunshine above their head, and both of them were covered by his shadow.

His appearance was like the cold air of the cold current, and the two of them who had been talking and laughing turned serious immediately.

The soldier immediately stood at attention, "Captain Chin!"

Anthea moved to the side to keep a distance from Adam.

Although Adam's question was for the two of them, Adam's eyes were focused on her palm-sized face.

She could only reply, "Nothing!"

Adam had changed into camouflage clothes. His right leg was wrapped in gauze and his hands were in her pockets. Standing next to him gave her an invisible pressure of inferiority.

Squinting his black eyes, he asked, "Why stopped talking as soon as I came here? Weren't you talking and laughing just now?"

"Brother Declan gave me something to eat, and thanked me for treating his wound!" Anthea said. It wasn't an explanation but merely an answer to his question.

Brother Declan is the soldier in front of her. Yesterday, when she was treating him with her teacher, they chatted a little. She knew that his name was Declan Schain. He was recruited from a local college and had just joined the army for a year.

When Adam heard this, his sight swept over the gauze pasted on Declan's forehead.

Declan suddenly felt it like cold air blew on his face, and inexplicably felt that the temperature suddenly became low.

Although he did not know the reason, he sensed something from their conversation. He asked, "Anthea, you know Captain Chin?"

"Yes." Anthea nodded.

A trace of nervousness appeared on Declan's face. He asked in a low voice, "Then you..."

Seeing that they seemed to be familiar with each other, he guessed in his heart that there must be some subtle connection between them. He flinched at the thought of it.

Anthea looked at Adam, who remained calm all the time, and explained directly, "He is my uncle.

Husband of my father's sister."

"I see!" Declan suddenly breathed a sigh of relief and became delighted. However, he did not dare to show too much of his delight because of Adam's presence. Therefore, he maintained standing at attention. Adam said in a low voice, "You have nothing to do right now?"

This time, he was staring at Declan.

The reputation of the Hell-king Chin had always been famous in troops of the whole country. A cold look in his eyes was enough to make people chill.

"No!" Declan stood even more straight and didn't even dare to breathe. He quickly raised his hand and saluted, "Captain Chin, I shall attend to my own works now!"

After Declan left, Adam glanced at the milk and bread in her hand and asked, "You haven't eaten lunch yet?"

"I'm going to!" Anthea replied.

Adam seemed to have pondered for a while before saying, "I have two beef cans in my tent. Come with me. I'll give them to you!"

"No, thanks. These will be enough!" Anthea shook her head and refused.

She looked down, showing her long eyelashes, and there were two shadows under her eyelids. Those shadows looked like a small fan. All these made the intentional distance between them protruding. She said respectfully, "Uncle Adam, I shall attend to my works now! Please excuse me."

After saying, Anthea took the milk and bread back to the tent.

Adam's pupils contracted as he stared at her figure walking away.

She used to call him Uncle Adam with a smile like a blossoming flower, but now she called him like an unfamiliar senior.

He had a strange feeling in his heart and he couldn't replace a way to vent it.

Adam took out a cigarette from his pocket and glanced aside coldly.

Carter, who had always been quiet, immediately wagged his head, and said in fake seriousness, "Captain Chin, I didn't see anything!"

B*llshit.

Time flew by, and it was evening in the blink of an eye.

Anthea came out of her tent and hurried back to the treatment room for medical care and rescue.

A child had a stomach flu. When the child was lying on the bed to get intravenous drip, he suddenly vomited. Anthea was helping at that time and the child vomited all on her. Unlike blood, there were bacteria in the vomitus, so she had to go back and change her clothes.

When she bent over and entered the tent, she saw a man in the tent at first glance.

Even if he was sitting, he stretched his shoulders, looked imposing and striking.

Adam put his right hand on the table and tapped the table with his index finger as if he was waiting for something.

Anthea paused for a second and wanted to pretend that she didn't see anything and walked inside.

"Anthea." Adam called her.

Anthea couldn't pretend anymore so she looked back at him with a smile and asked, "Uncle Adam, are you looking for me?"

"Yes, I'm looking for you to change the dressings." Adam motioned at his right leg.

"In fact, there are a lot of doctors here who can help you!" Anthea said, implying that he didn't have to wait for her.

"You've dealt with my wound and you know it better." Adam said in a natural tone. Then, he said quietly, "I haven't changed my bandage since this morning." Hearing this, Anthea couldn't help but frown.

He had to change dressings in morning and evening, otherwise he wouldn't recover. She stopped rambling and said, "I'll get the medicine and gauze!"

She moved a chair and sat next to him. Anthea focused on changing his dressing.

At this time, two soldiers came in from outside the tent, both of whom were his subordinates. Their boots and trousers were stained with dirt. It seemed that they had just returned from front line.

The flood did not aggravate after clearing up. This was good news. In addition to fighting against flood, the rescue team was also looking for the alive every day.

"Sir!"

The subordinates saluted in unison and said respectfully, "The search has been carried out in all directions around Platan County. All the survivors have been brought back by now. The flood area is large. We will continue to search by helicopter tomorrow!"

Although the two of them stood in a standard military posture, they seemed to be very tired. Their faces were full of exhaustion, and they both got dark circles under their eyes, which meant that they lacked sleep.

"Yes." Adam nodded, and then he frowned and said, "You two, go back to rest first."

"Captain Chin, we're fine!" Both of them said.

Adam said seriously, "Although we are soldiers, we are also human beings. We are not made of iron but flesh, and we need to rest! Only when we rest well can we have enough energy to participate in the following rescue work. Otherwise, we will become a burden!"

"All soldiers I trained are excellent. I don't want to see any of you fall down, and I don't want to see any of you in danger because of fatigue."

"Now go to rest. This is an order!"

In the army, no one dared to disobey the orders.

The two men immediately said, "Yes, sir!"

Anthea looked at the outline of his profile absentmindedly. His words were sonorous and forceful.

The green military uniform begot his serious face which perfectly and exquisitely combined the officer's prestige and affability. He was the natural leader. That was the reason why many people was willing to follow his lead.

It was Anthea's first time to see him as a soldier.
