Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1164
The traffic light turned green.
When Anthea raised her head, her lips were a bit swollen by Adam's kisses.
Anthea glared at Adam discontentedly, thinking that she was looking deterrent. However, she did not know that she looked full of charm in his eyes. Adam's throat bobbed slightly.
If it weren't for the fact that the traffic light turned green, Adam would have kissed Anthea again.
Anthea also noticed that. She covered her lips and changed the topic, "Where are we going to stay tonight?"
As the Braxtons stayed at Adam's apartment, they needed to replace somewhere else to stay tonight!
Hearing that, Adam frowned and pondered.
Adam had many apartments at home and abroad, but most of them were for investment. When he took a leave from the army, he would either stay at Chin's Mansion or the apartment of the family building in the military region.
The other houses in the city were vacant and only regularly cleaned by the housekeepers. They could be dusty and lack daily necessities. It was also troublesome to buy everything on the spot. Eventually, Adam said, "We can only get a room in the hotel."
Anthea thought for a moment and realized that it was the only way. She nodded cutely, "Okay."
Knowing where to go, Adam drove the military jeep to a five-star hotel.
The neon lights were all on, echoing the stars in the night sky in the distance. The hotel logo looked brilliant under lights.
Adam parked the jeep and went to the lobby of the hotel with Anthea.
When she was in the south area, Adam had taken her to a hotel to get a room once. But at that time, he was only helping her to settle down. This time was the first time they had stayed in a hotel together. Although it wasn't a big deal, it couldn't stop Anthea's thoughts to be intimate with Adam.
They went to the front desk and handed over their ID cards to the staff to go through the check-in procedures.
There were other customers, a couple just like them, who seemed to be traveling here with a luggage bag on their back and a suitcase next to them, speaking with a southern accent.
The couple seemed to be very good with each other. When the man communicated with the staff, the girl had been hooking his neck all the time. She leaned on him like a doll. They looked so sweet that everyone in the hall could feel it.
Anthea was slightly envious.
She quietly put her hand into Adam's hand.
The moment her hand touched his, Adam held it tightly.
Because Adam was dressed in camouflage training gear today, and they were in public with many people coming and going in the hall, it was not appropriate for Anthea to throw herself into his arms, but it was alright for her to hold his hand.
They looked at each other and clasped their fingers tighter, with affection growing deeper in their eyes.
"Adam, hanging out with your friend?"
At this time, a middle-aged woman's voice suddenly sounded.
Adam and Anthea turned around and saw a well-dressed woman walking to them from the side restaurant.
It was someone that Adam knew. He nodded and called out to her, "Aunt Blaire."
Anthea smiled politely in a hurry.
"I thought I had mistaken you. When did you come back from the army? It's a holiday now," Blaire smiled. Although she said to Adam, her eyes were sizing up Anthea.
Anthea felt very embarrassed to be stared at, and she couldn't help but step back.
The look in Blaire's eyes...
Anthea couldn't replace a word for it. It was as if Blaire had seen something exciting, unbelievable, and tried hard to pretend that nothing had happened.
Realizing that Adam was still holding her hand, Anthea wanted to get rid of his hand in a panic, but Adam held her hands so tightly that she couldn't.
Anthea calmed down and felt warm in her heart.
"I've been back for two days," Adam answered.
"I asked about you when I played mahjong with your mother a few days ago! You must be very busy in the army. Don't wear yourself out. Your mother always misses you at home!" Blaire continued, but her eyes never moved away from Anthea as if she would see through her.
When Blaire noticed their hands, her eyes brightened.
At this time, the receptionist finished the formalities and said, "Miss, Sir, this is your room card. Please turn right and go by elevator!"
Anthea's face suddenly turned red.
Blaire said hurriedly, "Adam, I will get out of your hair. I have to go now!"
Then, she took her bag and left rashly as if she had run into something terrible.
Anthea scratched her head awkwardly and said, "Adam..."
Adam knew what she was worried about. He said, "It's fine."
He took over the room card and their ID cards from the staff.
When they were about to walk to the elevator, his phone in his trouser pocket rang.
Glancing at the caller's name, Adam raised his hand and pressed the middle of his eyebrows, feeling a slight headache.
"Hello, Mother," He answered the call.
As expected, Blaire called Adam's mother right after she left.
Anthea couldn't hear what Adam's mother was saying. After Adam started talking, she couldn't help but tense up her nerves just like the day she was in the jeep, holding her breath and not daring to breathe. Adam's mother kept talking while Adam responded to her calmly.
While Adam's mother was talking, Adam looked at Anthea.
Anthea was puzzled and very nervous by Adam's gaze. He raised his hand again and pressed the middle of his eyebrows, saying, "No, you don't have to come over. Well, I know. I will take her home to meet you."
"Take her home?" Anthea thought to herself.
Anthea's heart was beating fast in a panic.
When Adam hung up the phone, he looked at her and asked, "Anthea, we can't stay here tonight."
Then where should we stay?" Anthea licked her lips.
"My home, with my parents," Adam looked a little helpless.
After Adam's mother was told by Blaire that he took a young girl to the hotel to get a room, she immediately called Adam and insisted on asking Adam to take her home. If Adam didn't take her home, then she would ask the driver to drive her here to meet the girl.
Adam had no choice but to agree.
"Ah?" Anthea was startled.
Adam touched her head and then handed back the room card to the staff, "Sorry, could you please help us check out?"
Then the military green jeep shuttled back and forth again in the night.
Anthea clenched her seat belt tightly, with her hand sweating, and looked dumbly at the vast neon lights outside.
Twenty minutes passed, and she never felt that time passed so quickly as if it were flying.
"It seemed that I just came out of the hotel a second ago..." Anthea thought to herself.
The jeep entered a wide private road, and the traffic was getting less and less. There were villas all around. Anthea knew that they would arrive soon. Her heart was beating very fast, and she kept taking deep breaths. Her mind was blank.
Adam could tell that she was nervous. He grabbed her hand and clenched it, "You will have to meet them eventually."
