Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1198

Adam's finger gently swept across her eyes and brows as he said, "Yes, you're qualified."

She was obviously asking for his praise. At that critical moment, she created a chance and let Kairi escape first. It was more because she was kind-hearted. Someone's phone began to vibrate.

It was Adam's. He kept his posture and took his phone out from his trouser pocket.

Only by a casual glance with her sharp eyes, Anthea saw "Amelie Celestin" on the screen. Almost immediately, she pricked up her ears.

Adam looked at the name, picked it up, and put his phone beside his ear.

However, since he did not put Amelie on speaker, Anthea, though with rapt attention, could not hear her voice clearly. Well, Adam just responded with a few words, and then the call ended. As soon as he put down his phone, she asked, pretending to be careless, "Who was it?"

"Amelie," Adam said, "She called to see if you're okay."

"Oh!" Anthea nodded.

Her fingertips gently touched his palm, and thinking of something, she asked, "Wasn't she caught in a beast trap in the mountains? Is she alright?"

"She's fine," Adam said calmly and gave her a look of surprise.

She was lying in the hospital, and he wondered how she could be in the mood to care about others?

Anthea was whining, begging for more information.

It seemed that Adam had no intention of talking more about Amelie, so she decided not to pursue the matter.

At nine o'clock, someone came to visit her.

The ward door was pushed open, and Gavin, who was in a military uniform, came in with a simple and honest smile.

Anthea did not expect that there would be so many people to see her tonight!

She felt flattered and asked Gavin to sit down. "Hey, it's so late, and you should take a rest now. I'll have to stay in the hospital for a few more days. I guess it'd be better for you to come tomorrow!" "It's okay." Gavin shook his head and said.

"Thank you so much for visiting me even when it is late at night!" Anthea said gratefully.

Gavin, a little embarrassed, rubbed his hands and said, "It'll take you some days to recover from the injury in the bones. You have to take good care of yourself. See? Adam is distressed greatly about your sufferings! Do you know how anxious we all were when knowing you're missing? Fortunately, you had a narrow escape from any further harm they might have done to you. Otherwise... Anyway, you're lucky in misfortune!"

Seeing her in the hospital bed with her leg in a cast, Gavin felt incredibly guilty.

He felt that her suffering had something to do with him.

Amelie was so persistent in pursuing Adam. As their comrade who had known her for many years, Gavin was so touched by her persistence that he finally agreed to create a chance for her.

It was true that no one had expected an accident. But if he had not called Adam out of the tent, she might not be in danger, get injured, and lay there now. What if the two gangsters really...

Gavin thought that it was hard for him to absolve himself of the blame.

Anthea certainly did not know what he was thinking. She smiled and nodded. "Yes!"

"Adam, feel free to ask me for help if there's anything in the army! Since it'll take her a long time to recover from the injury, I'll give you my home leave at the end of the year. This way, you can take better care of Anthea!" Gavin said.

Adam nodded and said, "Then thank you."

His thanks made Gavin feel even more ashamed.

Like the young couple, they had to come over to see her personally before they could feel at ease. Not long after they sat down to talk, Gavin stood up and said goodbye.

When he was about to walk out of the ward, he paused.

Gavin turned around and looked at Anthea in the hospital bed. He wanted to say something but stopped on second thought. In the end, he said, "Anthea, I'm sorry!"

"Ah?" Anthea was full of confusion.

However, Gavin said nothing more and hurriedly left.

Anthea, confused, looked at Adam questioningly. "Adam, what's wrong with him? Why did he suddenly say sorry to me when he left? What does it mean?"

There was a flicker of complex emotion in Adam's eyes, but he said lightly, "Nothing serious."

Anthea shrugged and said nothing.

The sky outside was getting darker, and the corridor became much quieter.

Since she had just finished the operation, she could not take a bath. Adam got her a basin of warm water and carefully wiped her face and hands for her.

As he did all of this, he carefully lowered his head as if he was taking care of a little child.

He wiped her every finger clean with the warm towel in his hand.

Anthea sat there quietly, feeling very comfortable. She almost blurted out that she really wanted to lay like this in the hospital forever! However, she was afraid that he would scold her with a serious face, so she swallowed these words.

When Adam looked up, he happened to see that she was staring at him with sparkling eyes.

It seemed that her watery eyes, as limpid as the autumn water, could see through Adam.

His lips were not as pale as they were when he found her in the mountains. They had regained their rosy color but had only a little dead skin. Nevertheless, her lips under the light still looked as attractive as those fragrant peach blossoms, which could easily enchant Adam.

Adam put down the towel in his hand and could not help bending over to kiss her.

Anthea responded to his kiss.

They kissed each other with passion, entangled with each other's scent.

Adam pinched her delicate chin and turned his face away from her, gasping for air. With his dark eyes closed, he tried hard to suppress the sexual desire in his boiling blood.

She seemed to have magic powers and could easily arouse his sexual desire.

Adam's chest heaved a few times violently before he finally released her. He dimmed the lights by her side. "It's getting late. Go to sleep first, and I'm going to take a bath. I'll be back soon." Anthea nodded, her lips still red and swollen.

She looked at his tall and strong back as he went into the bathroom and licked her lips where his scent lingered on.

She knew that once again, he restrained himself from having sex with her...

Anthea felt shy, but soon she frowned.

After Adam came out of the bathroom, he found that she was still awake, leaning against the head of the bed. Sometimes, she bit her lips; sometimes she frowned.

He frowned. "Anthea, why aren't you asleep yet?"

"Mm." Anthea mumbled a reply.

She looked down without turning an eyelash - she was immersed in her thoughts.

Adam walked up to her and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

Only when his shadow enveloped her from the top of her head did Anthea looked up and suddenly said, "I've made a decision."

"What's that?" Adam was confused.

Anthea pursed her small mouth, and her elfin face suddenly became serious.

She had made a decision.

To be more precise, she made a decision after she woke up.

In the mountains, Anthea met the two ruffians. When one of them pressed on her to tear her clothes, she was so scared. It never occurred to her that a hooligan instead of Adam would be the first man having sex with her! Adam cherished her so much and stopped everytime before doing more intimate things with her. They had never made love with each other!

It was also because of this idea that she had a very strong desire to escape at that time.

This incident made Anthea realize one thing.

If she were raped before having sex with Adam, she would die with regret and hatred!

That was why she made a decision.

After taking a deep breath, she looked straight at Adam and uttered her astonishing decision, word by word. "Adam, when I recover from my injury, I want to make love with you!"
