Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1242

"Adam, you abuse me!" Anthea complained.

Adam squinted at her and asked, "Are you afraid now?"

Anthea shook her head at once.

Adam burst into laughter. He pinched her chin a little hard and said seriously, "Never try to break up with me again, okay?"

Under the light, his eyes looked so deep and dark, which was like the endless darkness, sucking Anthea's soul.

"Okay, I know!" Anthea answered with a serious and gentle tone.

"Good girl." Adam caressed her head softly.

Anthea snuggled up to him, and added, "If you are injured in the future, you also have to tell me. Don't ever keep me in the dark again for fear that it might make me worry."

Adam had not explained where he had gone last night, but just lied that he had encountered something.

But Anthea was very clear that he was just afraid that she would be worried.

"Okay." Adam smiled.

Anthea raised her eyebrows. "I'll be your wife someday. No matter how tired you are in the army or you get hurt in danger, you have to tell me. I will accompany you when you are tired and cure you when you are hurt!"

She was a little boastful, as she was not even a doctor now!

The small dispute between them quickly disappeared.

Although Adam could let go of this issue, he still remembered what had happened in the restaurant. He tapped on her nose slightly and said in a threatening tone, "How dared you call Emerson to ask him out in front of me?"

At the thought of this, he got angry again.

Emerson was a playboy. The most important thing was that he did have a crush on Anthea!

Anthea pouted. "Humph, then why did you eat with Amelie?"

"Did I pay any attention to her?" Adam asked coldly.

"..." Anthea was speechless.

It seemed that Amelie had been speaking alone all the time. Adam just sat there with no expression on his face and kept silent all the time. Surely, he shouldn't be blamed for anything. Anthea scratched her head and smiled ingratiatingly. "If I hadn't called Emerson, you would never feel jealous and be distracted! All's fair in war. That was just my strategy!" Adam gave her a severe warning after hearing these words.

Anthea rolled her eyes and hurriedly comforted him. "Happy birthday, baby. You are my hero!"

Although it was a pity that she did not leave him a precious memory on his birthday, she was proud of him. This man was not only a soldier, but also a hero who had saved a life! "Where's my gift?" Adam asked.

Anthea lowered her head guiltily.

When she looked up again, she saw that Adam had already taken out a box from the trash can.

It was a black box that was tied with a bowknot on the top.

Anthea felt a little embarrassed.

Last night, in a fit of anger, she threw it into the trash can!

Adam tore it apart before her eyes.

Inside the box was a silver lighter.

Anthea's eyes were full of expectation. "Adam, take a look. You may replace something special!"

Adam played with the lighter for a while and then looked at the bottom. "There is a peach heart."

Hearing this, Anthea's face darkened and she immediately emphasized, "That's not a peach heart. That's a loving heart!" "What?" Adam asked lazily.

Anthea was speechless.

Seeing her cheeks puffed up, Adam stopped teasing her and took her into her arms. "Nice gift. I like it very much."

No matter what she gave him, he would treat it as a treasure.

The "loving heart" looked very rough and was clearly hand-carved by Anthea herself.

She meant to be with him forever.

She became happy again when she saw Adam holding the lighter affectionately. She bit her lip gently, and there was shyness in her eyes. "I hope you can think of me whenever you see it!"

"Of course." Adam smiled.

"I'll light a cigarette for you then!"

"Okay."

Adam took out a cigarette and put it into his mouth.

Anthea turned the lighter diligently. With a crisp sound, the blue flame sprang up, shining on her

beautiful, delicate face.

Then there was white smoke curling up.

The flame seemed to have also warmed her heart up.

Adam took a deep puff and then put it out.

A week later, at the train station.

The military green jeep parked in the parking lot in front of the station. At the entrance of the ticket inspection, Anthea carried a backpack, waiting to get in.

She wore a suit of water-pink tracksuit today, which was loose, but still, her curves were outlined ingeniously with the design.

The pink color also made her porcelain-white. She looked much prettier.

Adam held the impulse to take her into his arms and said while holding her one hand, "Be careful on the train. Let me know when you get there."
