Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1253

At the nurse station.

After putting the sterilized cotton on the tray, the nurse said a few words and left.

Anthea's hair was tucked behind her ears. The nurse checked Anthea and found many bruises on her arms and five-finger prints on her face. Many of them were messy, crisscrossed, and Anthea's forehead was swollen.

When the nurse was attending to Anthea, she was like a lifeless statue.

Her eyes were dull and pale.

Young Master Chiang took a cotton swab and wiped gently on Anthea's cracked mouth with some ointment. Looking at her dazed look, he asked, "Anthea?"

Anthea finally responded. She turned slowly and said, "Young Master Chiang."

When Jayden wanted to kick her head, Emerson Chiang suddenly appeared and saved her.

If Emerson didn't stop Jayden, Anthea would have been seriously injured.

When Emerson raised his hand to block Jayden's

kick, his hand felt numb.

Thinking of the scene that Anthea curled up in the corridor and was beaten, Emerson felt furious.

"My cousin had a small operation here last night. My uncle and my aunt were abroad. I came to look after her but couldn't fall asleep at another place. I came out for some fresh air and heard that Master Hsu had a car accident. I didn't expect that..." Emerson sighed and said worriedly, "Anthea, don't be too sad. Please take care of yourself!"

Anthea's sore eyes were full of tears.

Looking at her pale face, Emerson felt distressed.

Thinking of how much Anthea had suffered alone and replaceing that no one was around her to protect her, he frowned and asked, "Has Adam gone on a mission?"

When Emerson mentioned Adam, Anthea's droopy eyelashes suddenly trembled twice.

She clenched her cold hands.

Emerson understood and suddenly sympathized with Anthea even more. He looked at the morning light outside the window and said, "Have you been in the hospital since yesterday? I can take you out to have breakfast. You need to pull yourself together and be strong!"

Emerson dragged Anthea out of the hospital.

Worried that Anthea could not go too far, Emerson took her to a breakfast restaurant on the opposite street.

The restaurant was small, and the environment was ordinary. Most of the people who came to the restaurant were the family members of the patients staying in the hospital. There was only one waiter in the restaurant. The breakfast was placed in the bar for customers to fetch.

Seeing that Anthea was in a trance, Emerson pulled out the chair, help Anthea sit down, and patted her comfortingly, "Anthea, sit here. I'll help you get breakfast!" Anthea was not hungry at all.

But she couldn't refuse Emerson's kindness. She nodded and said with difficulty, "Thank you."

Emerson raised the corners of his mouth and said with a smile, "It's nothing. Wait here. I'll be back soon!"

Feeling worried, Emerson took a glass of warm water and put it in front of Anthea before walking to the bar.

Anthea sat there alone, thinking of everything that happened to her.

"In the past few years, Adam has completed numerous excellent tasks and achieved countless merits. He just got promoted to become a lieutenant colonel, and then he will be a senior captain and colonel. If everything goes as planned, he will become a general!"

"Anthea, my dream is to be a general."

"Anthea, I am your grandfather. Listen to me!"

"According to the surveillance video, the vehicle that caused the accident had driven through the red light at high speed. The elder on the zebra track was in a hurry to cross the road and could not avoid in time, which led to the tragedy!"

"You d*mn brat. It's all your fault..."

So many voices overlapped in her head.

"Grandpa is dead..." Anthea thought to herself.

The accident scene came to Anthea's mind again. She remembered Master Hsu lying in a pool of blood, holding her hand, calling her name over and over again, "Anthea, Anthea..."

Anthea felt desperate and wretched.

"If grandpa hadn't run out to stop me, he wouldn't have had a car accident," Anthea mumbled in her mind.

"If he hadn't known about what happened between Adam and me, he wouldn't have come back from abroad overnight. He wouldn't have been upset. He would have paid attention to the surrounding

conditions. He would have avoided the car. He wouldn't have..."

"My stubbornness and willfulness killed grandpa."

"I killed grandpa!"

Anthea blamed herself, felt pain in her throat and difficulty in breathing.

Anthea felt as if a knife were piercing her heart. Every breath she took, she felt pain.

Anthea's back seemed to have been soaked through by sweat, and her clothes were sticking to her back. Her vision was dark, and her abdomen was drooping. She seemed to be unable to sit steadily in the chair.

Anthea put both of her hands on her abdomen, trying to relieve the tearing pain, but she started losing her consciousness. She felt dizzy, and her vision blurred.

Anthea suddenly fell backward.

Emerson placed a cup of steaming soybean milk on the tray, and all the dishes were fetched.

Not knowing what Anthe liked to eat, Emerson almost ordered all the dishes in the restaurant.

When he picked up the tray and turned around, he heard people exclaimed.

"Miss, are you okay? Miss?"

All the guests in the restaurant stood up and looked at Anthea.

When Emerson saw Anthea lying on the ground, he was shocked.

Back in the emergency center.

After being sent to the emergency room hurriedly, Anthea lay on the bed with a pale face with her eyes closed tightly and her eyebrows and lips tightly pressed together because of pain.

The doctor and nurse surrounded Anthea, and they checked her quickly while asking, "What happened? How did the patient faint? How long has she been unconscious? Did she have nausea, vomit, frequent micturition, or other symptoms?"

Emerson was stunned by the question and frowned, "I'm not sure. She suddenly fell to the ground!"

Glancing at the declining blood pressure, the doctor turned to the nurse and ordered, "Arrange the operating room immediately!"

"Operation? What happened to her?" Emerson did not expect Anthea's condition to be so serious.

He thought that she fainted because of deep desperation and feebleness.

Looking at Emerson's blank face, the doctor grumpily questioned, "How come you don't know anything about your wife? Don't you know that she is pregnant?" "Pregnant?"

Emerson was astonished.

He looked at Anthea, who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed, in astonishment, replaceing it hard to believe that she was pregnant.

Emerson quickly calmed down and asked with concern, "Can you save the baby?"

"How dare you to ask!" The doctor shook the listening device in his hand and scolded fiercely, "It seems that there were symptoms yesterday afternoon. Why didn't you send her to the hospital in time after she had the abdominal pain? Now, it's too late. Ectopic pregnancy can cause death!"

"If she came to the hospital earlier for treatment, there wouldn't be any danger like this! Right now, the patient's abdominal cavity is bleeding heavily. If it were delayed, she might lose her life! The ruptured tubal ectopic pregnancy needs immediate surgery!"
