Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1261
It was still that car.
It had been six years, but he hadn't changed his car.
Anthea walked over with her suitcase. Adam put out his cigarette.
He strode over. "Get in the car. I'll send you."
These few steps seemed to step on Anthea's heart.
Her brain was numb and she was unable to move.
Anthea took half a step back and refused politely. "Thank you, but I can take a taxi myself!"
"It's not easy to stop a taxi when it rains," Adam said.
"It doesn't matter. I can wait!" Anthea still shook her head.
She held an umbrella in one hand and a suitcase in the other, trying to go around him.
Adam caught her.
He snatched the suitcase from her hand forcefully and pulled her arm. After a few seconds, she was forced to get in the jeep.
Anthea was tied with a seatbelt.
Adam moved very quickly and did not give her any chance to escape. He quickly got into the car and asked her, "Where?"
Hearing his dominant words, Anthea had to curl her lips and said, "The railway station!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the jeep drove out of the cemetery with the windscreen wiper was on.
They kept silent all the way.
Anthea held her breath. Even so, she could still smell the masculine scent that belonged to him.
"Anthea, you are so cruel."
In these six years, she would always recall his last words.
Memories flooded her and her heart sank.
She seemed calm, but the hand hidden on the other side was quietly clenched so tightly.
When a couple met each other after breaking up in a TV series, what would they say? Long time no see?
It seemed to be too ambiguous and not suitable for them.
Anthea asked casually, "How have you been these years?"
Adam didn't answer her.
He looked ahead with his black eyes. Except for the two sentences he had said before driving, it seemed that he didn't want to say another sentence to her.
His face was expressionless, and his eyes were calm.
It was just like when they first met. It was as if their relationship had never happened.
It was all right.
When they separated six years ago, they parted unhappily and the relationship between them became tense. Now they met again. In Anthea's opinion, it was just because she was his niece-in-law that he kindly gave her a free ride.
Jeep stopped at the railway station.
Anthea opened the umbrella and got off the car with her luggage.
As soon as she walked to the waiting hall, the jeep drove away.
Anthea took a deep breath, and the cold rain seemed to enter her heart and lungs. She finally calmed down.
A private hospital.
After shift handover, Anthea changed into flat shoes and a doctor's overall.
She came back with her teacher, Vincent.
Six years ago, although Vincent taught in college, he
had been doing the rescue job in the summer and winter vacations. He was a very broad-minded person. In the past few years after he went abroad, he did not slack off at all. He encouraged himself to help more people with medicine.
However, since last year, Vincent had not been as well as before.
He couldn't run or rush here and there to help others, so he returned to his motherland. Anthea came back with him.
When she returned this time, Kumla Hospital offered her a job, wanting to hire her to be the chief physician of the general surgery department.
Anthea first took the train back to the town to see her parents. She hadn't come back for the past few years. Her parents had visited her twice abroad. After accompanying her parents for some time, she returned to Ice city to take the position officially.
When she came out of the office, the other doctors came up with books and respectfully called her Director Lee.
Anthea smiled at them and then looked over at one of the girls. "Mila, I heard that you were so tired that you cried when you were on duty last night?"
Mila, who was called by her, was depressed. "Director Lee, I'm sorry. I won't do it again..."
Anthea smiled slightly, two small dimples appearing on her face.
She had always been beautiful. Even without makeup, she was still attractive. When she smiled, there seemed to be endless charm between her eyebrows, which attracted the male doctors very much. "I know that you have just graduated this year and have not adapted to such high-intensity work, but since you have chosen general surgery department, you must be mentally prepared! This is how a surgeon works. Women work as men, and men work as animals!" Anthea blinked.
Mila laughed, and the unhappiness on her face dispersed.
Anthea took out the pen from her chest pocket and said, "Cheer up and follow me to make the rounds of the wards!"
A resident doctor next to her said, "Director Lee, Dr. Mangini has just got a patient last night. It seems that he had an injury during the mission, but it was checked that he had a stomach perforation. So he was transferred from the orthopedics department to us! Dr. Mangini is ill and asked for leave. Today, you'll check him!"
"Well, I know!" Anthea nodded.
In the ward, there was a man with a plaster on his left hand lying on the hospital bed.
Different from the military uniform, the hospital uniform was big. Wearing it, one still could move easily. "Hey! Captain Chin, I was injured when I was on the mission to save the hostage. I am a big hero!" "Even though you didn't send me to the hospital of our military region, you should have sent me to the hospital where Kaylee works. Why did you transfer me to this hospital? Why? I don't agree!" Sitting next to him, Adam said in a low voice, "Be careful with your arm."
Carter looked at him with a resentful expression. "Captain Chin, you've changed. You don't love me anymore, do you?"
Adam glanced at him from the corner of his eyes.
Carter immediately smiled ingratiatingly and didn't dare to do anything foolish anymore. However, after two seconds, he started rolling on the bed again. "Captain Chin, can I apply for being transferred to the hospital where my wife works? I want her to serve me."
Adam got up and walked to the window, taking out a cigarette box from his trouser pocket.
He picked up a cigarette with his fingers, but he didn't light it. Smoking was forbidden in the hospital, so he had to go out to the designated smoking area if he wanted to smoke. He seemed to want to smoke, but he didn't go out. He just stood there with a cigarette in his hand.
Hearing Carter's grumbling, Adam narrowed his eyes dangerously. "If you don't behave yourself, go back to the army for training."
Carter was so frightened that he kept his mouth shut.
Ah!
Hell-king Chin was so ruthless!
Carter no longer dared to joke, but his face was full of questions.
He had been thinking hard since last night, but he still didn't understand why Captain Chin suddenly transferred him to this hospital. He couldn't figure it out!
However...
There must be something wrong!
Carter was thinking hard when the door of the ward was knocked open.
Four or five doctors walked in. It was the daily ward rounds every morning.
When he saw Anthea walking in the middle, Carter's eyes widened like a light bulb. He thought he was hallucinating.
What?
His sister-in-law was back-
Carter came to an understanding all of =
a """ ur a sudden. He instantly understood why Captain Chin had transferred him here!
He was so smart!
