Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1306
The fragrance of flowers had already reached her nostrils.
Anthea took it over and said, "Thank you..."
She met Eric Chafee on a blind date, but the two of them had met each other only several times. Every time, Eric would prepare a bunch of bright-red roses, which showed that he was a very romantic gentleman.
Anthea carried the flowers and walked into the elevator.
Looking up at the rising figures, she was in a trance.
She was asking herself,
"Can I really accept a man other than Adam Chin?"
If she could, why had she been single for the past six years?
Many girls at her age had already found their boyfriends, and many of them even had got married and had their own families.
Whether in college or after graduation, Anthea had met a great many men who pleased her.
But she refused all of them.
Even her teacher Vincent Zanon's son had seriously pursued her for a period of time. In the end, they only became ordinary friends.
When Anthea got home, she put the roses on the table.
She then walked to the window and saw the silver-grey car was driving away.
In their contacts, Eric had always been very proactive.
If she really could not accept this man and his kindness, she should refuse him as soon as possible, lest he would waste too much time on her. When Anthea put down the curtain and was about to turn around, she suddenly caught a glimpse of something from the corners of her eyes. Her eyelashes fluttered.
At the end of the flower bed, there was a green military jeep parked there.
Although the headlights were not on, there was someone inside it.
Through the jeep windows, Anthea could see that there was a red spot flickering as if someone was smoking there.
Anthea didn't know when the jeep was parked there. Because of the remote location, Anthea didn't see it when she went downstairs just now.
If she hadn't wanted to see if Eric had left or not, she wouldn't have found the jeep!
"I just want to see you."
Anthea's heart tightened as she thought about this sentence.
It was not until the night fell that the engine of the green military jeep parked downstairs was started.
It slowly drove out of the apartment building area. When the jeep windows were lowered, all the white smoke inside it was ventilated.
When the jeep stopped at a red light, Adam lit another cigarette.
While he was rubbing the bottom of the lighter with his finger pulps, his mobile phone rang.
At the other end of the line, Carter's voice was solemn. "Captain Chin, I have got a clue about the person we've been looking for!"
A light of sharpness flashed in Adam's black eyes.
In the afternoon, Anthea took a taxi from the private hospital.
She had asked for half a day off. She wanted to go out to do something.
On the way, the mobile phone rang. Anthea picked it up. "Hello, Cayden!" The lawyer, Cayden Zurn, asked Anthea whether she had set off. He also reminded her not to be late.
Anthea looked at the road ahead and replied, "Okay, I see. I'll be there in ten minutes. Wait for me inside the office!"
Ten minutes later, the taxi arrived at the destination.
The buildings nearby looked very formal and solemn. Many people had already gone to work at this time of the day. In addition, a lot of workers wearing uniforms were entering the buildings. The taxi driver turned around and said, "Miss, these are the changes for you!"
"Thank you!" Anthea took over the changes.
She was so focused on putting the money into her bag that she didn't pay attention to the surroundings.
She went forward two steps, and then suddenly a shadow shrouded her completely from behind.
Her arms were grabbed by the mascular arms of another person, and she was scared, "Ah..."
Before Anthea could realize what was going on, she was suddenly dragged into a car next to her.
As soon as the door was closed, the driver stepped on the accelerator.
It was a burly man who dragged her into the car. The driver in front of her was also a man. The car windows were stuck with black films, and therefore she could not see clearly what was going on inside. Even if she could, it would not be of any help to her because the car was driving at a fantastic speed.
Anthea was pressed down on the seat. She was too careless just now, and she had missed the only chance to escape before she was completely dragged into the car. Now her hands were caught and put behind her back, and the space inside the car was very small. Now she had no chance of escaping at all.
"Kidnapping?"
A thought flashed through Anthea's mind.
A large amount of cold sweat trickled down her back.
These gangsters dared to do such a terrible thing in broad daylight. It was obvious that they had been prepared for it carefully!
Anthea couldn't figure out why something so appalling would happen to her. She was quite sure that she had never offended anyone in her daily life.
Nowadays, the relationship between doctors and patients is now becoming more and more unfriendly. Is it because any one of her patients was very unsatisfied with her treatment?
But this was not the case at all!
If she had offended any one of her patients, he/she would generally make trouble in the hospital to protest against the doctor.
Anthea was brainstorming while struggling. "Who are you?!! What are you doing? Let me go! You..."
One of the men covered her mouth with a cloth.
The scent of diethyl ether hit her nostrils, and Anthea suddenly lost all her strength.
She lost her consciousness and fell into complete darkness.
When Anthea woke up, she saw that the room she was in was empty all around.
There was no glass in the windows, which were all sealed by planks. It was still daytime, and the sunshine shed into the room through some cracks of the planks.
It seemed that she was inside an abandoned building. Anthea could vaguely identify the words "To be demolished" on the wall. She guessed that she should be on the top floor.
Just like what they did to her inside the car, her hands were twisted behind her back and tied with ropes.
Anthea tried to struggle, but it didn't work. Her wrists ached.
Her mouth was sealed by adhesive tapes. She could not even call for help.
She tried to calm herself down and reflected upon countermeasures.
Anthea narrowed her eyes and looked around again.
Her bag was thrown into the corner in the distance, and the mobile phone was in it. She had to replace a way to call the police. However, her hands and legs were tied to the chair, and she couldn't move at all. She didn't know if her lawyer, Layden Zurn, would replace anything unusual because she hadn't appeared for a long time...
Anthea was holding a little bit of such hope.
At this time, the sound of footsteps came from the stairs.
Anthea's hair stood on end as two men walked toward her.
These two men were about the same height, but there were obvious differences between their figures. One was stronger and the other was thinner. The former was the person responsible for tying her inside the car, and the latter was the driver.
The strong man said to the other man, "Linzell, the girl has woken up!"
Linzell saw that Anthea had opened her eyes. He muttered, "She has woken up so early. It seems that
the dosage of diethyl ether was too light!"
Anthea looked at them warily.
Six years ago, when she was watching the meteor shower in the mountainous area, she had once faced the danger of being kidnapped.
However, because the attempt of kidnapping Anthea was made in the mountainous area, which was easier for her to hide or flee, and she was mentally well-prepared for such an incident, she was finally able to escape the kidnapping.
As for now...
Anthea noticed that the strong man was looking at her up and down with malicious intent. Her heart almost missed a beat.
Sure enough, the next second, the strong man said with lecherous eye expressions, "This little girl is really beautiful! When I dragged her into the car, I felt that her figure was so sexy. It must be full of fun to play with her!"
Anthea felt thrilled, and she was breathing heavily.
"Let me go first?" The strong man was eager to begin.
The thin man, Linzell, reached out and stopped his companion. "No! our client wants this girl to be killed as quickly as possible!"
