Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1436
The Schain's Group.
In the office on the top floor, Leonardo was sitting on a high back chair with a pile of documents piled up like a hill beside him.
After reading a few pages, he would stop to look at his watch.
When the secretary came in with the coffee, he saw this scene.
When he put down the coffee cup and was about to leave, Leonardo looked at his watch again. The secretary reminded him weakly, "Mr. Schain, there are still two hours before the end of work!"
"I see!" Leonardo frowned, seeming a little impatient.
The seconds ticked by.
When the secretary, who had returned to his seat, saw that it was time to get off work, he immediately looked up at the president's office and silently counted in his heart. When he just counted to three, the door was pushed open.
Leonardo, holding a suit jacket, was striding out.
He showed a smile and said, "It's time to get
off work!"
The secretary was speechless.
In the light of the setting sun, Leonardo personally drove home.
Far away, he saw the villa standing there.
Since he took over the position of president from his father, he moved out to live for convenience.
He had lived in this place for many years, but today he felt that things were different.
Maybach was parked in the yard. Leonardo walked into the villa lazily, with a glimmer of light in his eyes.
As soon as he entered the room, he smelled the fragrance of dishes in the air.
This was something that had never happened before, and Leonardo's heart began to beat fast.
A small figure ran towards him.
Leonardo leaned over and hugged his daughter who was opening her arms with a smile on her face. "Dad, you are back from work!"
"Yes!" He nodded.
Holly hugged his neck tightly and said in his ear, voice as sweet as chocolate, "I'm telling you secretly that I've missed you at home!"
Leonardo's heart softened. "I missed you, too!"
Holly couldn't wait to share with him. "Mom took me to the supermarket today and saw Aunt Anthea and Lil Star! She cooked a lot of delicious food. We can have dinner soon!"
Leonardo smiled and said, "Well, let's wash hands first!"
He threw the car keys and the taken suit on the sofa together, then took his daughter's hand, and went to the bathroom.
When the father and daughter came to the dining room, Mila was coming out of the kitchen with a dish.
She wore an apron with floral patterns on it. The cooker hood was still buzzing inside. It seemed that she was busy. There was a thin layer of sweat on her nose, and her clear eyes were more and more bright, like clear gems.
Seeing him, Mila smiled and said, "You are back!"
It was a very common word, but Leonardo's heart seemed to have been hit by something.
After a long time, he still had that feeling.
Mila continued, "Sit down with Holly and wait for two minutes. There is also a dish. We can have dinner after I finish it!"
"Yes!" Leonardo nodded.
He pulled out his chair and sat at the dining table with his daughter side by side.
Seeing the dishes on the table, Leonardo was surprised. Meat and vegetable were matched, and every dish was in good color and aroma.
In the morning, when Holly said that Mila could cook, he was surprised at the time. He thought that she could only cook rice, meat, and vegetables thoroughly. He never thought that she was so good at cooking.
After all, Mila used to be a young lady who never needed to do housework.
Thinking of the hardships of her raising daughter abroad alone, Leonardo felt sorry for her. But the smell of rice lingered in the air, which made his heart ripple slightly.
Soon, two minutes passed. Mila came out with the last dish of fried vegetables.
This was the most beautiful time of the sunset glow. The magnificent light shone through the window, making everyone's eyes as bright as stars.
They had been living in the hotel before, so they couldn't cook. They had always been eating the food in the restaurant.
It had been a long time before Holly was able to enjoy the dishes made by her mother. Although she enjoyed the food very much, she still maintained the appearance of a lady and chewed elegantly. She turned around and asked with expectation, "Dad, is it delicious?"
"Yes!" Leonardo nodded and looked at the
opposite side. "It's very delicious!"
The first sentence was his reply to his daughter, and the last sentence was specifically for Mila.
Mila was a little shy. "Thank you!"
Finally, all the six dishes and one soup were finished.
Mila had bought a lot of fresh fruit in the supermarket and made a plate of fruit. She brought it to the living room and they were eating and watching TV.
It was bustling.
In fact, what was shown on the TV was cartoons, but they all watched it seriously. No one felt bored and went back to the room. At this moment, the time seemed to be very peaceful.
At nine o'clock, Holly yawned tiredly.
Leonardo took his daughter upstairs and coaxed her to sleep.
After Holly took a shower, she looked a little more energetic. She was always a coy lady, but now she was rolling in bed and laughing happily.
She rolled into Leonardo's arms and held his strong and powerful arm. "Dad, I am so happy today!"
"Really?" Leonardo doted on her.
Holly nodded, her eyes sparkling. "Yes, I'm very happy! I ate and watched TV with Mom and Dad. I also have a home like other children! If only I could live like this every day. I want to be with you forever!" The word "home" seemed to touch people's hearts.
Leonardo's Adam's apple rolled. Hearing his daughter's words, he also suddenly felt that this place was like a home now.
His hands caressed his daughter as his gaze softened.
After playing for a while, Holly felt sleepy again. With her little face against his big hand, she soon fell asleep.
Leonardo leaned over and gently kissed her on the forehead, then quietly left.
As soon as he walked down the stairs, his cell phone rang.
Leonardo took a look and picked it up. His mother said with concern on the phone, "Leonardo, are you busy? Have you had dinner?"
He replied, "No. I've had it!"
Leonardo couldn't help thinking about the taste of dinner.
His father was particular about food, so they hired a chef with good cooking skill at home. He had tasted a lot of delicacies since he was a child. Mila's cooking skills were very good, but it could not be considered superb.
However, he felt that he could not forget the taste of the food she cooked.
Unsurprisingly, his mother began to urge him. "How do you think about the blind date I told you last time? Charley is three years younger than you, but he already has a girlfriend and even has a daughter!" Leonardo's eyes twitched slightly.
After walking down the last step, he looked at the kitchen, where the lights were on and the faint sound of water came. Leonardo was holding his phone and listening to his mother's nagging casually, while walking towards the kitchen.
