Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1591
A familiar Rolls-Royce was driving in the rain.
Tina held her breath.
When Tina saw that the car obviously slowed down when it approached her, her heart began to beat fast uncontrollably.
Tina stared blankly as a hint of expectation emerged in her heart.
Inside the car, the radio was broadcasting the weather.
Terry, who was driving in the front, looked out of the window and said, "President Chin, it's Miss Tina!"
"Mmm." Wilson looked indifferent.
Seeing his reaction, Terry felt uncertain. He asked tentatively, "President Chin, the rain is falling heavily. Miss Tina doesn't seem to have an umbrella. It's not easy to stop a taxi at this time. Do you want to offer her a ride?"
Wilson looked serious. "No!"
Terry looked at the rearview mirror, frowned and said, "But Lil President Chin's car is behind us..."
They had just left the controlled companies
after inspection, which were exactly the two entertainment companies that Desmond was in charge of. At the end of inspection, they drove out one after the other.
Wilson's eyebrows were furrowed, as if there were full of anger. "Can't you understand me?"
"Sorry!" Terry didn't dare to disobey.
When the black Rolls-Royce passed Tina, it suddenly sped up.
He didn't stop at all, just as he did that night.
He was so cold.
The wheels of the car rolled up waves of water, like transparent flowers blooming on the ground, which soon disappeared into the heavy rain.
Tina felt the rain hitting on her body, making her body colder.
She looked down.
The rain over her head suddenly stopped. Someone was holding an umbrella over her head.
Tina's heart skipped a beat.
She raised her head quickly, but what she saw was not the perfect face of Wilson, but another face that was somewhat similar to his.
Tina looked a little downcast.
Desmond was in high spirits when he saw her. He held the handle of the umbrella in one hand and stroked the hair on his forehead with the other. "Lil Tina, I saved you once again. How about that? Are you moved?"
Tina greeted, "Lil President Chin!"
Seeing that her gaze was focused on the direction in which Rolls-Royce left, Desmond deliberately said, "He's so unsympathetic! Tell me, what's so good about Wilson? Why are you so determined to follow him? It's better to be my mistress! I'm not any worse than him!"
Tina was silent.
She wanted to say that their relationship had ended.
But she stopped on the second thought.
Tina still hadn't figured out the reason why Desmond wanted her to be his mistress. If she said it now, wouldn't it give him an illusion that he still had the chance? Then it was inevitable that he would continue to entangle her, so she simply didn't say anything.
The brown curly hair on Desmond's head drooped a little because of the rain. He was wearing a bright yellow suit today, looking swanking as usual.
In such gloomy weather, it was so dazzling
that she could not even open her eyes.
Tina said, "Lil President Chin, thank you!"
No matter what, his appearance stopped her from being embarrassed.
"Don't mention it! Now you know that I'm better than Wilson." Arrogantly, Desmond snatched the shopping bags from her hands and said, "Let's go. Where are you going? I'll give you a ride!" Tina glanced at the increasingly heavy rain and did not refuse. "Thank you!"
Like him, Desmond's car was also eyecatching. It was a peacock blue Ferrari sports car. It had been refitted from the body to the inside. The engine was very loud when it started. Tina's entire body was drenched and the seat was stained.
Desmond didn't mind at all. He took a dry towel from behind and a clean coat for her.
Tina was a little surprised.
Unexpectedly, he was a careful person.
Desmond seemed to have seen through her thoughts and became even more proud.
"How is it? Did you suddenly be overcome by my charm?"
Tina's mouth twitched.
Desmond, on the other hand, showed his mischievous smile. "There's more than that
here. Tell me what you want to drink. I have prepared drinks and snacks in my car! If you sit uncomfortably, there are pillows in the back! I'm not lying to you. None of the girls are willing to get out of my car once they get in!
Desmond was like a child, showing her off his great achievements.
Tina couldn't help but laugh.
She had to admit that, just like what Desmond had said before, he was really good at pleasing girls.
The car couldn't drive fast on rainy days.
However, the supermarket was very close to the hospital.
When they were about to arrive at the hospital, Desmond slowed down the car. He had no intention of immediately sending her over. Instead, he seized the opportunity and said, "This rainy day is so romantic. It's very suitable for drinking coffees. I know a cafe nearby. The coffee is very authentic! Lil Tina, would you like to go with me?"
Tina refused. "Lil President Chin, I have something else to do!"
Desmond was immediately unhappy and taunted her. "Lil Tina, it's not right for you to kick down the ladder! At least, I appeared to save you. You have to accompany me for a cup of coffee to express your gratitude,
right?"
"Alright then!" Tina agreed helplessly.
Seeing that she agreed, Desmond showed a bright smile. "There's an Italian restaurant next to the cafe. It's very romantic. The pasta and seasoning dishes are all very authentic! After drinking coffee, we can go there for a date!"
Tina was speechless.
She felt like she had fallen into a trap.
Tina rolled her eyes inwardly.
When she opened her mouth and was about to correct him, Desmond's cell phone rang.
It seemed to be a work phone call. After he glanced at it, Desmond's naughty look became very solemn. "Hello? What? The shareholders' meeting?"
Desmond frowned and hung up.
Tina asked, "Lil President Chin, what's wrong?
Desmond said with an incredible look, "The stockholders' meeting is being held in the headquarters of the Chin's Group now, and I must be in the conference room in half an hour! It's strange. We've already get off work. What kind of meeting will be held for no reason?
Tina felt that this was exactly what she wanted.
Desmond said gloomily, "Lil Tina, looks like we can only date next time!"
She had only agreed to have a cup of coifee with him!
Tina held back the twitching at the corner of her mouth and said with a smile, "Lil President Chin, you can go to work and drop me off at the hospital!"
It was different from the usual meetings. If it was shareholders' meeting, he must be present.
No matter how reluctant Desmond was, he could only drive her to the hospital and turn to the Chin's Group.
He sped along.
Desmond finally arrived at the Chin's Group and ran from the elevator to the conference room, panting.
When he was about to push the door open and rush in, Terry, the most capable special assistant of Wilson, came over and said with a respectful smile, "Lil President Chin, President Chin said that he was not feeling well and the shareholders' meeting has been canceled..."
Desmond was so speechless!
