Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1671
That Girl
Wilson wore glasses helplessly. "Mom, don't make fun of me!"
"Haha, I'm just kidding!" Meadow chuckled. "Why are you so free tonight? Usually, you won't come back at weekend."
Wilson said, "In the following weekends, I can come back anytime you want to see me!"
Meadow nodded with relief. "My son has grown up and become more and more sensible! Since you are so considerate to your mom, why don't you hurry to get married?"
"Mom, you mention it again!" Wilson said, feeling headache.
Every time he returned home, his parents would come up with this topic.
Meadow gave him a disapproving look and snorted. "Your brother is too focused on his training and stays in the military base all year round, so I can't talk to him. Except you, who else can I talk about this?" Wilson said perfunctorily, "But I am not in a hurry."
Meadow widened her eyes and shouted in a low voice, "Not in a worry? You're mature enough to get married. Don't put all your efforts into the work. You should get married and give birth to a son or a daughter as soon as possible. Otherwise, every time I gather with those madams, I can't join in their topic about their grandchildren!"
Then, she suddenly asked, "What about the girl at the last banquet?"
Wilson froze.
Meadow said, "I think she's pretty good. Her speech and manner are refined. How is it between you two?"
Meadow had a very good impression of Tina.
Previously at the banquet, she was neither humble nor overly enthusiastic to Meadow as other people, making Meadow feel very comfortable staying with her.
Most importantly, as Wilson introduced her, he seemed to be very familiar with her. Especially when he said she was a fashion designer, there was a faint glow in the eyes behind his glasses - he was proud of her and shared the honor.
After two seconds of silence, Wilson said a little gloomily, "We have nothing to do with each other."
At least, they were not together now.
Hearing this, Meadow said with some disappointment, "Well, that's a pity!"
She had thought that they would develop a closer relationship.
It turned out that she was merely his female companion at that party. The news shattered her expectation.
Meadow's physical health was weakened when she gave birth to Wilson, so she was afraid of the cold. After sitting outside for a while, she couldn't stand it anymore. She picked up her teacup and got up. "The wind outside in the evening is too cold. You'd better go back to your room!"
Wilson nodded. "Mom, please go back first. I'll be back later!"
Meadow nodded and went back to the villa first.
Wilson sat alone on the bench, leaning back and raising his chin. He looked up at the night sky with only one or two stars through the glasses. Everything looked so lonely in his eyes.
When he returned to the office in the Chin's Group after a meeting in the early morning, he felt a burning sensation in his throat.
Just after talking a few steps, he felt his head heavy and his feet light.
After Terry reported his schedule, he found his ill state today and quickly asked, "Mr.
Chin, are you sick?" "Maybe!" Wilson pressed his temples with his index fingers.
His temples pulsed a little violently. Not just there, he felt some pain in the body.
After chatting with his mother in the yard last night, he stayed there for a long time. Perhaps it was because of the night wind, he got a cold.
Terry asked with concern, "Is it serious? Do you need to go to the hospital?"
Wilson picked up a file from the stack of documents aside and shook his head. "Forget it. There's a lot of work today. I'll be fine after taking two pills!" Terry nodded and left obediently.
Time flew by quickly whiile he was busy with work.
Unconsciously, the sun began to set.
Wilson, who just finished an overseas video conference, was still writing something at his desk in the president's office.
His assistant Terry and his best secretary Irene were standing on the right and left side of his desk.
Irene looked at the lunch box that she put on the table at noon - her boss didn't even open it, and it was the same with the dinner she sent here in the evening. She couldn't help but persuade him, "Mr.
Chin, you are not feeling well! Although you have taken some medicine, an empty stomach would only make you weaker, which will make it difficult for you to recover!" It seemed like he had been like this for a long time.
Whenever he was sick, he would be as stubborn as a child and would refuse to eat. As his subordinates, they were so worried about him.
"It's all right!" Wilson said.
Irene handed over the food in her hand and opened it with expectation. "I've just brought these two set meals. Which one do you like to eat?"
Wilson threw a glance at it and said, "I don't have an appetite!"
Irene was anxious. "What do you want to eat?"
Wilson meditated for a moment and said, "Rice porridge."
"Rice porridge?!" Irene was stunned for a moment, then heaved a sigh of relief and said, "It's easy. There are many porridge shops near the company. If you want to eat it, I'll arrange for someone to buy it now!"
But Wilson frowned again. "No. I don't like the porridge from any of these restaurants!"
Irene was speechless.
Terry, holding an iPad recording something, immediately ventured, "How about I call Miss Hall and see if she has time to do it?"
There was a time when Tina came with a thermal lunch box.
Terry stole a glance at it and found that there seemed to be just rice porridge in it. Nevertheless, his boss ate it with pleasure.
This time, Wilson didn't make any sound.
Terry understood instantly.
He closed the iPad and walked out with his mobile phone in his hand." I'll call her now!" Terry walked very fast. After leaving the office, he went to the rest area at the corner to make the phone call. When they passed by the elevator, there happened to be a beautiful and elegant beauty walking out.
Terry nodded and said, "Hello, Miss Amery!" Every time Abby appeared, she dressed up very elegantly.
She had luxuries from head to toe so that anyone who saw her as a noble lady from a prominent family.
Abby raised her hand and asked with a smile, pushing back wisps of hair that fell over her cheeks. "Where is President Chin?"
Terry replied, "He is in the office. I have an urgent phone call to make, so I can't help you to inform him. You can replace the secretary..."
Abby nodded understandingly. "It doesn't matter. You go to do your work!"
Terry took the phone and walked away quickly.
Abby gracefully walked to the secretary's office with her handbag. When she arrived at the door, she happened to hear the conversation of Wilson's secretaries inside.
"Irene, does President Chin love to eat the food I've just bought? If not, I suggest we try Italian and Cantonese dishes. He'd like to eat some if we get him as many kinds of food as possible! President Chin is sick, so he must eat something!"
"No need. He said he had no appetite. He just wanted to have some rice porridge!"
"Oh, okay..."
Abby stopped when she heard this.
She did not continue walking inside. Instead, she turned around and left, also taking out her phone.
