Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 1673

She Was Very Busy

Tina felt tense under his stare.

Desmond) said, "You came to me and gave me something to eat. Could it be that you've been quietly falling in love with me? But this is normal. After all, I'm very charming!" Tina was speechless.

She knew that he would say something stunning and shameless.

Tina acted as if she was trying to snatch the lunch box away from him. "Give it to me if you don't want to eat it!"

"No, no, no!" Desmond hurriedly held the lunch box tight and apologized to her. "Please! I was wrong."

Tina couldn't be bothered to argue with him.

Desmond opened the lunch box. Inside was freshly-made rice porridge, still steaming.

The rice fragrance and the warm steam instantly filled the car.

It must have taken her a long time to cook it - each grain of rice was thoroughly boiled. The porridge tasted soft and sticky. It didn't seem to be bought in a restaurant. Instead, it must be homemade. Desmond asked uncertainly, "You made it yourself, didn't you?"

Tina said in a muffled voice, "Hmm..."

After receiving the call, she returned home and stood long before the stove to cook the porridge.

But it was all in vain.

She released a bitter laugh. When she raised her head, she saw that Desmond froze there with his head down. His expression changed several times as he stared at the thermal lunch box. Tina was puzzled. "Are you alright?"

Desmond held the thermal lunch box tightly in his arms, his eyes shining, and looked at her excitedly. "Aww! I'm so touched! My mother had never washed clothes and cooked for me. You're the first woman who washed clothes and made porridge for me. Do you know that?"

Although he grew up in a superior environment, he felt alone and unhappy sometimes.

Desmond and his parents belonged to a collateral branch of the Chin family, so they did not have the right to take charge of the Chin's Group. Yet, they were busy with their work and rarely spent time on him. Most of the time, he stayed with the servants.

When his parents thought that he needed to be educated, they would let Wilson do it.

Thus, ever since he was born, he seldom saw his mother at home, let alone eat the meal she cooked.

A sense of warmness brought by this rice porridge in this thermal lunch box occupied his heart.

However, Tina's lips twitched slightly when she heard that. "Why are you staring at me like this? You won't see me as your mother, will you?"

Desmond was struck dumb.

The touching atmosphere before disappeared at once.

Desmond closed the lunch box, intending to enjoy it slowly when he was back home.

He started the sports car again.

In the rearview mirror, the Chin's

Group became smaller and smaller as they got farther and farther away,

Tina slowly retracted her gaze.

When she heard that Wilson was sick and wanted to drink rice porridge, she ran all the way to him only because of their previous appointment. How foolish she was to do this! Once again, she flattered herself.

Looking at the endless dark sky, she felt suffocated as if some dark clouds were weighing heavily on her heart.

At this time, Wilson was in his office on the top floor.

Wilson was wearing a white shirt with all his sleeves rolled up. His suit was set on the high-back chair. He bent over the desk working attentively, his eyes behind the glasses serious. His office was silent except for the busy scratching of his pen on paper.

The neon lights outside turned increasingly brighter.

Although he had been writing and working efficiently, it seemed impossible for him to finish the documents that piled up high on his desk.

Wilson took up another document and unfolded it. After carefully browsing it, he held the pen and was about to sign on it. Unexpectedly, he stopped.

A bowl of steaming rice porridge appeared before him.

Its fragrance spread everywhere, surrounding his nose.

Wilson raised his thin lips, and a smile flashed across his deep eyes behind the glasses.

He slowly raised his head.

As he shifted his eyes from the porridge bowl, he did not see Tina's elfin face nor her clear eyes.

The smile on his face froze little by little.

He frowned and said, "Why are you here?" Abby froze for a moment.

From the moment he looked up to her, she could feel his disappointment.

Was he waiting for someone else?

Abby was confused. She smiled gently and said, "I was doing something nearby. When I was done, I came to see you in passing!"

Wilson narrowed his eyes and asked, "You brought the porridge, didn't you?"

Abby nodded with a smile, "Yes! I heard that you were sick, so I asked the cook at home to make it for you. When you are sick, your appetite is generally not good. It's most appropriate to eat some porridge!" Wilson looked at the bowl of porridge dotted with some green vegetables in the middle, which looked quite exquisite.

Yet, he had no appetite at all.

Abby pushed the porridge closer to him and said, "Taste it. My uncle likes eating this porridge. You know, the cooks in the Amery family are all well-paid star-level chefs!"

Wilson said, "Put it there. I'm not hungry for the time being!"

Abby nodded with a smile and said, "Well, ask the secretary to heat it when you want to eat it!"

Wilson replied perfunctorily.

He lifted his chin slightly, motioning for the documents piled up like a mountain next to him, and suggested she leave, "I have a lot of work to do here, so I'm afraid I don't have time to accompany you today!" Abby said considerately, "It doesn't matter. I want to see you! Take care of yourself while you are busy with work!"

"Mmm." Wilson nodded.

When she was about to reach the door, Abby stopped again and said, "By the way, the finals of the Grand Fashion Design Contest will be held this weekend. I remember the Chin's Group is one of the investors behind it. I'll be there as an award presenter. If you are free that day, come with me! I'll leave you in peace then. Bye!"

Wilson slightly pursed his thin lips.

Two minutes after Abby left, the office door was pushed open again.

Terry walked in respectfully.

Wilson immediately asked, "Why hasn't she come yet?"

Terry knew who he was referring to.

He had been anxiously waiting at the elevator all the time.

Yet, Tina didn't come as he had expected.

Terry looked awkward. He hesitated before saying, "I just called Miss Hall..."

Wilson looked at him and said, 'What did she say?

Terry said cautiously, "She said that she was very busy and didn't have time to cook porridge..."

After he said that, his boss' face turned cold almost immediately, which sent him a chill.

With a gloomy look, Wilson said, "Got it!"

Terry looked at the exquisite rice porridge on the desk and asked, "Then this bowl of porridge..."

Wilson said in a low voice, "Drink it!"

Terry had nothing to say to reply.

Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it was the weekend.

In the morning, the sky was clear with several white clouds, and the sun was shining brightly.

Today, the international center was extraordinarily lively. A lot of media was invited to make public reports for the finals of the Grand Fashion Design Contest.

It was at the finals. Besides, many important figures would show up. Thus, it attracted many people inside and outside of the fashion design industry.

One after another, people entered the hall of the finals, waiting for the contest to begin.

In the VIP seats of the front row, someone was throwing a tantrum at the staff.
