Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1735
Tina had already guessed who that woman would be.
Without any doubt, Isla's words conformed Tina's thoughts. "Look at those Barbie dolls and fruits on the sofa. They are the gifts that auntie gave me! She was really a pretty auntie! She asked me to call her Auntie Amery!"
Tina looked up.
Only then did she notice that the sofa was piled up with a lot of gifts, which obviously had been prepared meticulously.
Tina was silent.
She had told Wilson that even if their relationship was canceled, she didn't dare, and had no right to deprive him of his right to be Isla's father. For this reason, it was natural for Wilson to come here to see his daughter.
Whether he came here alone, or with another woman, Tina couldn't do anything about it.
Although this was the truth, Tina still felt as if her heart was being sliced by a blunt knife again and again.
Isla sighed like an adult and stopped eating the cake. She said in a worried tone, "Mom, I'm a little worried that the Domineering CEO might have fallen in love with another woman." Tina pursed her lips and remained silent.
In the sunny ward, the mother and daughter were reflecting upon their own things.
It was the ringtone of the mobile phone that interrupted their reflection.
Tina took out her phone and looked at the caller's ID. She then touched Isla's head and went towards the window to pick it up.
As soon as the line was connected, a man's voice, which was somewhat mischievous, could be heard. "Tina, it's me!"
It seemed that Desmond Chin was always a flamboyant, energetic, and to some extent simple-minded man.
Tina replied, "Uh-huh."
She then asked him, "Desmond, what's up?"
Desmond seriously said to her, "Have you forgotten what you promised me last time?"
"What's that?" Tina was a little confused.
Hearing this, Desmond immediately became angry, and he shouted, "Tina! You won't go back on your words, right? Last time, you promised me that you would make some porridge for me. Do you want to break your promise now? How dare you!"
Tina touched her forehead helplessly. Only then did she remember what she had promised him.
This was in fact only a small matter. Just now, Desmond was questioning her very seriously, and therefore she thought it might be a big deal at the beginning.
Now that she had realized it was all because of a bowl of porridge, she was very amused. "I won't go back on my words. I just have forgotten about it..."
As she had promised him at that time, she would surely fulfill the promise.
"That's good!" Desmond heaved a sigh of relief and coughed. "I want to eat the porridge tomorrow. Make it for me. I'll go to the hospital to fetch it!"
Tina was surprised. "Desmond, you want it tomorrow? Isn't it the Mid-Autumn Festival tomorrow? Are you sure?"
Porridge was made of rice and water, and it was almost tasteless. Tina thought that it was too ordinary for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
After all, Desmond was a young master, and he was supposed to eat luxury food like beef, seafood, or abalone, etc at such a grand festival. How could a rich and powerful young man like him eat something as plain as porridge?
However, Desmond's attitude was very adamant. "I'm sure I want it! Tina, you should take the porridge to the hospital tomorrow. I'll go there to fetch it. That's settled. Tomorrow, I want to see the porridge definitely!"
Tina was speechless. "Okay!"
After receiving her reply, Desmond hung up the phone happily.
It was the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important traditional holiday.
As pry made a phone call to Tina and invited her to spend the holiday with the Koo family in the hospital. Tina declined Aspry's invitation. She wanted to spend the holiday with her daughter.
Isla had forgotten about her worries yesterday. There was happy smile on her innocent little face now.
This morning, she made a phone call to Wilson.
Wilson personally guaranteeded to Isla that she would always be his favorite little girl. She was relieved by his words and no longer worried about whether he would fall in love with another girl. Although Isla had been transferred from the sterile room to an ordinary ward, and her recovery had been satisfying, it could not be denied that her physical strength was not as good as normal children. And even if she would be allowed to leave the hospital later, she would still need to take drugs for at least half a year.
Isla was an optimistic girl, and her little face was always full of happiness and vigor.
The mother and daughter spent a happy day of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the ward.
When the night fell, the outline of the bright full moon was gradually revealed.
As Tina had bought some mooncakes, she and Isla ate them while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the bright moonshine outside of the window. From time to time, Tina would answer Islas interesting questions about Change, Goddes of the Moon, as well as the jade rabbit of Change.
Isla suddenly said, "It will be wonderful if the Domineering CEO is here now!"
Tina's chewing movements were slow.
Traditionally, the Mid-autumn Festival was the date of reunion of family members. If Wilson was there, they would constitute a happy family of three.
Tina smiled and comforted Isla, "Today is the MidAutumn Festival, and your Domineering CEO also has to accompany his family members, right?"
Isla smiled and nodded. "Uh-huh! Just the two of us... I'm also very happy..."
Tina's voice was tender. "Isla is the best little girl!"
What a pity...
Tina felt dismayed at the thought that sometime later Abby Amery might well become Isla's family member.
Tina left the ward after enjoying the beautiful scenery of moonshine.
With a thermal lunchbox in her hand, she stood under the inpatient building and waited.
After a few minutes, she saw that a very flamboyant sports car was coming from afar. Even if it was more appropriate for the driver to slow down the car now, he didn't do so, and the sound of horns blaring was very loud.
The car came to a sudden stop in front of Tina.
The car door was opened from below, and then Desmond got off the car and ran towards her. "Tina, where's my porridge?"
Desmond was dressed up coquettishly as usual. He was wearing a pink suit, and it was obvious that he had deliberately blown his hair, and the curly hair, which originally was rested on his forehead, was now all combed back to the top of his head. In fact, today's Desmond looked like a gigolo, who made a living by accompanying rich women in nightclubs. Fortunately, he was originally a handsome young man, and therefore the dressing style and hairstyle of a gigolo didn't make him look too funny.
Tina glared at him. "I've already prepared it for you. Here you are!"
Desmond opened the lunchbox to confirm that it was porridge.
As the porridge had been kept in the lunchbox for a long time, the rice became softer, and there were almost-unnoticeable vapors surging up.
Desmond covered up the lunchbox with satisfaction.
Tina said, "The lunchbox's thermal insulation effect is very good. The porridge inside it is still hot! You can take it back home. Don't worry about the lunchbox. You can send it back to me at any time!" Desmond waved at her. "No problem!"
After that, Tina saw that he anxiously got into his car with the lunchbox in his hand, just like a gust of wind, and without saying anything like "thank you".
The sports car drove away.
Tina shook her head speechlessly.
Why Desmond was so anxious? It was because he was in a hurry to show off the porridge in front of somebody.
The moon was bright, and the stars were blinking. The villa of the Chin family was covered with a layer of silver glow, looking old-fashioned and beautiful.
A black Rolls-Royce drove into the yard at a constant speed.
After the car stopped, Terry respectfully opened the rear door, and Wilson got off the car. He was wearing a pair of nicely- polished leather shoes today, and his legs were long and straight.
There was an air of fatigue on Wilson's handsome face.
He had come here directly from the company.
Wilson said to Terry, "You've worked very hard today. You can go back home to celebrate the holiday now!"
"Yes, Mr. Chin!" Terry nodded and grinned.
When Meadow heard the sound, she came out of the villa to greet the two of them.
She had gone back to the bedroom and changed into a sleeveless cheongsam, with golden-thread roses embroidered on the chest and a tasseled scarf over her shoulders. She looked gentle and graceful tonight.
More than ten minutes ago, Meadow called her second son and asked where he was. Wilson told her mother that tonight he would be going back home with another person.
After a short while of surprise, Meadow felt very delighted about it.
Meadow's eyes were full of expectation. After Wilson got off the car, a beautiful figure followed him out.
Meadow was stunned all of a sudden.
