Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1787
Amery's Group was in a towering building. Generally, the offices of top executives were on the top floor.
Wilson's office was in a modern style with three colors: black, white, and grey. Unlike his office, the office of the president of the Amery's Group was in an ancient style: there was a row of antique carved bookcases next to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Bill lived an elegant life. Though he had lived in modern cities for many years, he preferred drinking tea.
There was a tea tray on the reception table.
Wilson sat cross-legged on the sofa, and Terry was next to him. After the meeting, he went directly to visit Bill in the Amery's Group to discuss cooperation matters.
Since he canceled the marriage engagement with the Amery's Group in advance, he showed great sincerity to make up for it.
Bill was also very satisfied with this young man, so he had the intention to cooperate more closely with him.
In addition to the three of them, Abby was also there.
She sat elegantly in the corner, making tea for them, which was the secretary's job. Her actions were standard and graceful. From time to time, she would pour some tea for them.
Before Wilson came to visit, Abby sent some items here for Old Madam Amery and stayed.
Bill didn't ask her to leave for what they would talk about were all normal business cooperations, not secretive matters.
They talked in a harmonious atmosphere.
Bill liked Wilson, thinking that he was quite a capable businessman.
Noticing the time, he took the initiative to invite him politely. "I didn't expect that after chatting for so long, it's already noon! How about we have lunch together? I'll ask my secretary to book a nice restaurant!" "No, thanks!" Wilson refused with a smile.
He said, "Thank you for your kindness, Chairman Amery. But I have something else to do today. Maybe another day!"
Hearing this, Bill nodded. "Well, if so, let's make it another day!"
Wilson nodded. He stood up and said goodbye. "Then I'll go back first!"
"Okay!" Bill said with a smile.
He also got up and saw him out of the office.
Abby looked at the tall figure who was walking to the elevator, picked up her coat and handbag, and said in a hurry, "I suddenly remembered that I also have something to deal with, so I have to go!" Bill was surprised. Didn't she say that she would stay and have lunch with him?
However, he shook his head and smiled without paying much attention to the change. Then he turned back to his desk to continue his work.
When the elevator door was about to close, Abby's slender figure entered.
Men in the elevator caught a faint whiff of her expensive and subtle perfume.
The elevator dropped at a constant speed. Because it was an exclusive elevator, it would not stop halfway.
Abby took the initiative to chat with Wilson. "You refused to have lunch with my uncle just now. Is there anything important?"
Wilson curled his lips. "I'm going to take my daughter out of the hospital in the afternoon!"
Abby said in surprise, "Is Isla going to be discharged from the hospital? That's a good thing. Speaking of which, it seems that I haven't seen her for a long time. May I go with you?"
Wilson shook his head with a lazy look and said, "It's not convenient. We don't want outsiders to be here!"
There was a slight embarrassment on Abby's face. She smiled and said slowly, "Well, I'm sorry for the abrupt request!"
Terry, listening to them, asked, "Should I take you to pick up Mrs. Chinn later?"
Terry cleverly changed the way he addressed Tina.
When they came out of the office that day, Terry cleverly noticed the diamond ring on Tina's hand. To get the diamond for his boss, he had made a great effort so that he could recognize it right away. However, he was very surprised and confused. How could his boss give it to Tina without a romantic proposal?
Sure enough, Terry didn't know that it was because Tina herself had accidentally discovered it.
Hearing that Terry said Mrs. Chin, Wilson cast a meaningful glance at him and smile happily.
He was in a good mood. "Yes!"
Abby, however, was extremely shocked.
Her fingers drew a few marks on her crocodile-skin bag because she was so shocked, and her eyes slightly widened. "You... are going to marry Miss Hall?"
Wilson said, "Yes! But it's not a plan. I've made this decision."
"So fast!" Abby frowned.
She thought that they were just boyfriend and girlfriend.
In that way, they might break up with each other. Unexpectedly, Wilson had already planned to marry Tina.
Was it because of Isla?
Feeling Wilson's gaze, Abby quickly regained her dignified smile and explained, "I mean, you haven't been together for a long time. It may be a little hasty to make such a decision so soon! Maybe you haven't thought it through..."
"I've made up my mind!" Wilson said firmly.
The corners of his mouth curved into a light smile, and his voice was low. "Before I met Tina, marriage was not essential to me. I have never had anyone in my heart, but ever since I met her, she occupied my heart."
No one else had ever entered his heart.
So once he knew his love for her, he wouldn't change his mind.
From Wilson's words with absolute certainty, Abby could tell that he meant something.
It seemed that he was telling her that she had never played an important role in his life and that he had never taken their relationship seriously.
When the elevator reached the ground floor, Wilson strode away with Terry.
Abby did not get out. Instead, she watched the elevator door with a poker face when it closed before her.
After leaving the Amery's Group, the black Rolls-Royce drove straight to the TV station.
Tina took leave after finishing what she was doing.
Today, she wore a pair of camel cuffed trousers and a shirt tucked inside her pants, making her waist look more slender. Outside of the shirt, she wore a white wind coat. She looked gentle and refreshing today.
Tina walked out of the office building quickly. As soon as she took off the working badge on her neck, Wilson's car arrived.
She got in.
Isla, who had been hospitalized for a long time, could finally be discharged from the hospital today. Tina was delighted, but because of what had happened yesterday, she was inevitably worried. Tina asked him, "Have you prepared what Isla wants?"
"Well, I'm ready!" Wilson nodded and took her hand. "When we arrive at the hospital, I'll go to get it from Simon!"
Tina nodded.
Malee sat on the chair beside the bed in the private hospital, peeling an apple with a fruit knife.
She looked toward the window. At this time, Isla was leaning against the window with her little butt sticking up. She would sigh with an air of melancholy from time to time, but the scene looked hilarious in Malee's eyes.
Isla sighed many many times.
She blinked her eyes, and what Wilson said yesterday echoed in her ears. He told her that she was his daughter.
Somehow, the bossy president became her biological father.
Was this a good thing or a bad thing?
Isla was so worried.
All of a sudden, she remembered that a child living near her in the hospital was with her father and mother every day. If he was her father, would she be with her mom and dad from now on? In the future, no one would say that she was a burden to her mother, right?
Malee smiled slightly and wanted to go over to comfort her, but Isla saw something and suddenly jumped off the sofa.
