Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1793
At dusk, the sunset glow on the horizon was as brilliant as fire.
After Tina got off work, she stopped a taxi to go to the resort in the suburb.
Selene had called her in the afternoon, saying that she had something to talk to her about, but she didn't directly say it. Instead, she asked her to go to the resort and would tell her as they ate. Tina was very helpless, but she reluctantly agreed.
Isla got used to the kindergarten very well, and the nanny, Kaylee, was very careful. The kindergarten was very near the No. 1 Luxurious Residence, and Kaylee would pick up Isla and take care of her, which was very reassuring.
The resort was a little far away, and it was evening peak. The traffic was very heavy.
After more than an hour, the taxi finally stopped.
It was a popular resort that had just opened. It covered a large area, and the decoration was very fashionable. There were all kinds of facilities inside, including restaurants, entertainment parks, and accommodation.
Many people came here because of its fame. Recently, it was very popular on the Internet.
There were two kinds of restaurants. One was western and the other was oriental. Selene had an appointment with her in the western restaurant on the right.
Tina went up to the second floor. The French window faced the river, and the view here was very wide.
There were a lot of guests in the restaurant, and almost all the seats were occupied. Selene was sitting in her seat and looking forward to Tina. When she saw her, she immediately waved her hand. She seemed to be very anxious.
The round table was covered with a red tablecloth, and the seat was semicircular beige leather sofa. At the corner of each table was a pink porcelain bottle with an exquisite pink rose in it. After sitting down, Tina said, "Selene, why do you invite me to dinner so far away?"
It was just a meal, and there were many famous restaurants in the city.
Selene's expression was a bit unnatural as she stammered, "Do you know my brother Desmond? He has shares of this restaurant. I don't need to spend any money here!" Tina was speechless.
How could a rich young lady who usually spend money like water save money?
No one would believe that!
Tina didn't pay attention to it and asked, "Selene, what do you want to tell me?"
Selene's eyes flickered as if she'd done something guilty. "Sister-in-law, don't be anxious, and wait a moment..."
The waiter came over and added lemon water to their glasses.
Tina frowned.
She felt confused and was about to ask again when she saw Selene suddenly stand up with a gentle smile on her face. "Dylan, here!"
At the stairs, a tall and straight figure walked over.
It was Dylan.
He was wearing a light-colored casual suit. He was not surprised when he saw Tina.
Tina immediately understood.
She grabbed the hem of Selene's clothes, gritted her teeth and said in a low voice, "Selene!"
"You're courting death!"
Selene smiled guiltily when she saw her glare. She also lowered her voice and said with a guilty smile, "I'm sorry, sister-in-law. Please do me a favor! If I hadn't told him that you were here, he wouldn't have come to meet me. Please do me a favor. I won't forget your great kindness! Please!"
She looked as if she was about to kneel to her.
Tina was helpless.
She had already understood her role.
Selene made use of her to create an opportunity to date Dylan.
She felt that Selene was too bold.
She clearly knew the relationship between her and Dylan, but she still get her involved. If Wilson knew it, he would make her suffer.
Selene seemed to know what she was thinking. She blinked and said in a low voice, "Sister-in-law, don't worry. Brother Wilson is on a business trip. He won't know!"
The corners of Tina's mouth twitched.
Since she had already been cheated coming here, it was too late for her to leave now. Furthermore, the pleading look in Selene's eyes made her heart soften. She could only helplessly warn, "It won't happen again!"
Selene nodded like a dog. "Yes!"
Tina didn't even look at her flattering face.
Dylan had arrived at the dining table.
Tina nodded.
Selene turned her face and looked at Dylan, smiling like a flower. Her face was full of happiness. She didn't look like a spoiled young lady at all. Her voice was also extremely gentle. "Dylan, what do you want to eat? Here's the menu!"
Dylan looked away from Tina's face, nodded, and began to read the menu.
The sofa was half surrounded. During the process, Selene had been holding her head with her hands, and all her attention was on Dylan.
Tina's cell phone rang.
She looked at it and raised her hand to hold her forehead. "Hello?"
In the phone, Wilson's low voice sounded lazy. "Are you off work?"
Tina said, "Yes!"
Wilson seemed to hear the waiter's voice and asked her in surprise, "Are you outside? Did you bring Isla out for dinner?"
"No, your cousin is in a good mood today. She asked me out for dinner!" Tina hesitated and glanced at Selene and Dylan opposite her before saying quickly in a low voice, "I won't talk to you anymore. I'll call you when it's over!"
If Wilson knew about it, he would be jealous.
However, Tina did not intend to hide it from him. She wanted to tell him the truth after she got back.
Wilson seemed to be busy. He smiled and said, "Okay!"
After she hung up the phone, she began ordering.
The appetizers were served quickly.
Every time Dylan looked up, his eyes would fall on Tina's face and then he would quickly move away, as if he had been holding back his emotions.
Tina felt embarrassed.
Selene didn't notice anything and her eyes were full of infatuation.
The main dishes and soup were served one after another.
Tina's gaze swept across the exquisite steak. She had already decided in her heart that she would replace an excuse to leave. She had helped Selene date Dylan, and she did not intend to stay at all. Her mouth moved. Just as she was about to speak, Selene took a step forward.
Selene stood up from the sofa and said quickly, "Sister- in- law, Dylan, I want to go to the bathroom!"
"Okay!" Dylan nodded.
Selene placed the napkin to the side and got up to leave quickly.
Tina had no choice but to sit still.
Only the two of them were left, and the atmosphere became much more depressed.
Dylan felt bitter in his heart.
He had never thought that the two of them would end up facing each other in silence.
Dylan broke the silence first. "Congratulations, Tina!"
Tina was puzzled.
Dylan clenched his fists under the dining table to make his tone sound normal. "I heard from Malee that your design on fashion week was successful!"
"Thank you!" Tina said.
She paused and asked, "How is your father?"
Dylan's expression froze.
He thought of what he had done before.
Dylan whispered, "He's fine. Don't worry!"
"Yes!" Tina nodded.
The atmosphere fell into silence and there was
nothing to say for a while.
Fortunately, Selene returned from the washroom, but there seemed to be a glimmer in her eyes.
