Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 1908
Amin and Desmond stood outside the door.
They both smelled the reek of alcohol, and their faces were flushed. Obviously, they had drunk a lot. Desmond was so wasted that he collapsed in Amin's arms.
Amin held him with both hands and couldn't take out his key, so he had to knock on the door.
After Tina opened the door, he said apologetically, "Haven't you slept yet?"
"I was about to go to bed when I heard a knock on the door," Tina replied. Then she looked at the drunk Desmond and asked in confusion, "What's going on? Why did you bring Desmond back?" Amin sighed. "Let's go in first."
She nodded. "Okay, I'll help you."
Desmond was drunk and incapable. She helped Amin lift him onto the sofa with all her might.
She patted his face. "Desmond, Desmond?"
He slightly shook his head and opened his eyes as he gestured in a drunken manner. "Tina? Come on, let's drink together!"
She was speechless.
Then all she could hear was his groan.
Amin took off his suit jacket and said, "After the meeting, we had dinner together. Desmond kept toasting me, so we drank a lot. Later, we went to a club.
"He was drunk, but his assistant wasn't around. I wanted to put him up in the hotel, but he didn't let me go. So I had no choice but to bring him back."
To be exact, Desmond kept him drinking all night.
Fortunately, he had a high tolerance.
However, Desmond behaved disgracefully when he was drunk. If it wasn't for the fact that he had a close relationship with Tina, Amin would never have taken care of him. Tina saw Amin frowning and noticed that his eyes were bloodshot.
She knew he was usually asleep by this time, so she asked with concern, "Are you all right?"
He rubbed his eyebrows. "I'm all right, I just have a slight headache."
Although he didn't drink spirits, he drank too much wine and felt a bit buzzed.
Tina glanced at the sofa and asked, "Where should we let Desmond sleep?"
Apart from the study, there were only three bedrooms upstairs, all of them occupied. Besides, there was only one room downstairs, and the nanny stayed there. Amin frowned tightly.
He looked in disgust at Desmond lying on the sofa. He refused to sleep in the same room with him.
Tina thought she could sleep with Isla and let Desmond sleep in her room.
At this time, Desmond turned over on the sofa and curled his legs. Holding a pillow, he said drunkenly, "I like it here. I sleep here. Don't touch me. I'm dizzy. I'm so dizzy..." Then, he closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep.
The corners of Tina's mouth twitched slightly.
Amin was very particular about the design of the furniture. The sofa was spacious and comfortable enough for Desmond, who was over 1.8 meters tall, to sleep for a night. Tina picked up the quilt next to her and covered him with it.
Then she looked back at the tired Amin. "Let's go to bed."
"Okay." He nodded.
They glanced at Desmond before they turned off the lights and headed upstairs.
Behind them, Desmond suddenly opened his eyes and stared at them with bright eyes.
He watched as they parted and went into different rooms on either side. There were two clicks before it became quiet.
He sat up in shock and stared upstairs.
The next second, he fell back on the sofa and really fell asleep this time.
The next day was a sunny day.
The morning light was so bright against a clear blue sky that floating clouds were barely visible.
Tina woke up very early.
As she washed up, she remembered that Desmond had stayed here the night before. She reminded herself to tell the maid to prepare breakfast for him later. When she came downstairs, however, he was gone.
She thought he should have something to do or felt awkward, so he left quietly.
The maid was very good at cooking. She prepared bread, bacon, and fried eggs for breakfast.
Isla chewed an octopus sausage, her cheeks bulging.
Amin, sitting opposite her, finished his breakfast and put down his knife and fork.
He looked a little pale. He had drunk too much last night, so he felt bad about his head and stomach.
Seeing this, Tina got up and went into the kitchen.
She poured him a bowl of brown sugar and ginger soup.
He was a little surprised. "Did you make it for me?"
When she made soup for Isla, she often made his share as well, but she never made it for him alone.
He looked at her with emotion.
She nodded and said with a smile, "Yes. You drank a lot last night, so you must have an upset stomach. You'll feel better when you drink this."
In fact, she felt guilty. She knew Desmond well. He must have forced Amin to drink a lot of wine last night. If it weren't for her, Amin wouldn't have suffered. So she made him brown sugar and ginger soup, which could soothe his stomachache.
"Thank you!" Amin said. He beamed after he tried it. "It tastes good!"
On the other hand, Desmond went home and washed up. Then he went straight to Chin's Group without having breakfast.
When he arrived at Wilson's office, Wilson sat in a chair listening to his secretary's report and reading the documents.
Terry had just gotten married yesterday and was still on his wedding leave, so it was Irene who was reporting the project to Wilson.
The door was half closed as Desmond barged in.
Wilson frowned and scolded him, "Why didn't you knock? You're rude."
Desmond walked over to his desk and sat down on the edge of it. He shook his curly hair and lifted his chin. "I have something very important to tell you. Do you want to know?"
Wilson didn't look up or stop working. "Can't you see I'm working?"
Desmond gave a cold snort and raised his head high. He crossed his arms and shook his legs. "It's about Tina."
He looked extremely arrogant and proud.
Wilson put down his pen and looked up at Desmond when he heard Tina's name.
He glanced at Irene, who took the hint at once.
She and Terry both knew that nothing mattered more to their boss than Miss Hall.
