Purchased A Mr. Right -
Chapter 809
After getting home from work at dawn, Emily finally remembered that Simon had gone on a business trip.
When she opened the fridge, she saw that it was filled with fresh food containers. There were quite a few prepared ingredients. She just needed to heat the ingredients in the pot before eating them. After she finished eating and washed the bowl and chopsticks, Emily sat there to watch TV with a remote control in her hand.
When she was enjoying the TV program, her cell phone suddenly rang.
She looked up at the night sky outside the window, and then looked at the watch on the wall. It was already ten o'clock. Emily turned off the TV in a hurry, and then ran to the bedroom with small steps. When she took her cell phone, her mouth twitched nervously.
It was a video call.
"Haven't you slept yet?"
On the screen of the mobile phone appeared Simon's handsome face.
He should be in the hotel, and the background was a large white bed. He looked like he had just taken a shower, and his short hair was still wet with water. Although he was wrapped in the bathrobe, the belt around his waist was loosely tied, and his strong chest was completely exposed.
From such a long distance, she could feel the masculinity coming from him.
Emily swallowed hard and tried her best to fix her eyes on his good-looking face. She pretended to yawn and said, "I'm going to sleep!"
However, Simon suddenly said, "Emily, take off your pajamas!"
"Hey!" Emily blushed.
He still acted like a rogue on the phone!
On the screen, Simon's attractive and amorous eyes narrowed. He smiled mischievously and said slowly, "Why are you so excited? I just want to see the baby!" "..." Emily gritted her teeth and was speechless.
Instead of taking off her pajamas as he required, she only revealed her flat belly. She hadn't been pregnant for a long time, so her pregnant belly was not obvious. Emily looked up at the screen in annoyance. Just as she was about to ask if he was satisfied, she saw that his eyes were very deep.
She became softhearted in an instant.
A deep voice came from his thin lips. "Go to sleep now!"
"Hmm," Emily answered. After hanging up the phone, she put the phone on the bedside table and closed her eyes. She fell asleep with a faint smile.
She forgot to set the alarm, so she got up late the next morning.
For fear of being late, Emily didn't make breakfast at home. She got out of the taxi and went to the opposite breakfast restaurant to line up for a ham sandwich and milk. When the shop assistant brought the food to her, Emily didn't take it immediately. Instead, she took out her phone and said, "Please wait a minute. I want to take a picture!" The shop assistant was confused.
After taking the photo, she took it with a smile and said, "Thank you!"
This was what Simon requested. The three meals of a day must be showed to him.
After putting the breakfast in the bag temporarily, Emily crossed the road and rushed into the office building. As soon as she came out of the elevator, she met Tina, who was carrying a device. "Emily, you are just in time. There is an interview with an orphanage. No one works with me. You come with me!"
"Sure!" Emily said, nodding her head.
A rich businessman voluntarily funded the orphanage to build new dormitories, which could accommodate more children. Such a good deed naturally needed the TV station to report and intensify positive influence.
The workload was not high, and most of the interview targets were children, so it was very easy.
After more than two hours, they finished the interview and returned to the TV station. After sorting out all the information of the interview, Emily was about to take it to editorin- chief. However, when she stood up, she suddenly felt dizzy.
She stumbled and her body shook. Then she fell to the side limply.
Luckily, Tina was right beside her. When Tina found that, she had already stretched out her hand to support Emily, preventing her from falling to the ground.
It happened in the office, so many colleagues witnessed the event. They immediately gathered around with great concern.
"Emily, are you alright?"
Emily shook her head. "I'm fine..."
Tina observed Emily's expression and frowned. "Is it caused by hypoglycemia?" Tina asked, "I remember I've had the same situation before when I was pregnant!"
Hearing this, Emily pressed the place between her eyebrows and said, "Maybe you are right. I didn't eat anything in the morning!"
She planned to eat the breakfast she bought in free time after arriving at the orphanage, but there was a crying little boy who was hungry. In order to comfort him, she directly gave the sandwich and milk she bought in the bag to the little boy.
With Tina's help, Emily walked to the tea room. One of her colleagues handed her honey water.
After finishing drinking, Emily ate a piece of chocolate and sat on the chair to rest for a few seconds. The brief dizziness disappeared and she felt comfortable all over the body. It seemed that it was just caused by low blood sugar instead of anything serious.
Emily sat in the tea room for more than half an hour and finished the breakfast that her colleagues bought. Tina, who had just gone out, went back now. Tina said guiltily, "Emily, it's all my fault that I was too careless. I didn't know you didn't eat anything, so I asked you to accompany me to interview! I just asked the editor-in-chief for a leave for you. You'd better go back and have a good rest today!" "Alright then!" Emily nodded.
Tina helped her pack her bags and walked her all the way to the elevator. "Do you need me to send you home?"
"No, thanks. Actually, I feel much better now!" Emily shook her head, "It's just because I didn't have breakfast. Don't worry. I'm fine!"
Actually, Emily didn't feel that there was any serious problem. She just felt a little dizzy in that instant. However, when she realized that she was pregnant, it was better to be more careful. Since Tina had already helped her request to take leave, she decided to agree to go home.
Tina nodded. It was obvious that she was still worried. She suddenly thought of something and quickly said, "By the way, Emily, when you went to the tea room, your phone rang. It's Simon's call. I said that you were uncomfortable and couldn't answer the phone!"
Hearing that, Emily took out her mobile phone in a hurry.
As expected, the call log showed that Simon called her half an hour ago.
Seeing that Emily called back directly and remained silent for a long time, Tina couldn't help asking, "Emily, what's wrong?"
"I couldn't get through..." Emily said with a frown.
After two consecutive calls, she still couldn't get through.
Tina said, "Maybe it's a signal problem. You can call him later!"
Emily nodded. She guessed that he must be very busy when he was on a business trip. So she edited a text message and sent it to him. When the message was sent successfully, the elevator just came up. After saying goodbye to Tina, she walked into the elevator.
