Purchased A Mr. Right
Chapter 848

Emily swallowed hard and gazed at her in a daze. She suddenly felt that Anthea was not happy traveling around the world in the past few years.

Anthea flicked the ashes into the grass beside her. When she was about to take another drag, a big hand took away the cigarette.

With a shadow shrouding her back, Emily turned around subconsciously. The first things she saw were the pair of military boots. As she looked up, the well- built figure was wrapped in a camouflage training outfit. Then came Adam's handsome but not smiling face.

The expression on his face never changed, but she noticed that he looked grim with an accusing look in his eyes.

"Brother...." Emily couldn't help but stand up.

Every time Adam showed up, he would project a high-wattage aura.

Perhaps it was because of the military uniform he wore, or he looked too upstanding and serious. Each time when Emily saw him, she would feel respect for him, and undoubtedly, a little nervous.

She swallowed and glanced at her good friend out of the corner of her eye.

Anthea did not move but still sat as firm as a rock, looking up at him indifferently.

Adam threw the cigarette he had snatched away from her on the ground and crushed it underfoot. Then, he picked it up and threw it ruthlessly into the trash can. His pair of pitch-black eyes were full of anger. "When did you take to smoking?"

Adam asked the same question as what Emily said just now, but Anthea's tone was obviously different. She spat out the remaining smoke in her mouth and replied, "It has nothing to do with you, my uncle- inlaw!"

Maybe she was being deliberately provocative for she emphasized on last few syllables.

Anthea looked away from his cruel and hard eyes and took out another cigarette and lighter from her pocket. She put the cigarette in her mouth, trying to lit it again.

But she didn't succeed, because Adam had seized the cigarette and pulled her up from the bench at the same time.

How could Anthea get off of him? She was lifted to him like a small chick. His hands were rough and calloused, from years of gun training so that she couldn't get free. "What are you doing? Let me go! Adam

Adam narrowed his eyes in silence. Without saying a word, he took her arm masterfully and led her out of the park.

Emily opened and shut her mouth. Before she could utter a word, Anthea had been taken out of the gate of the park. In the darkness, Adam looked more big and burly man for he forced her to walk with only one arm around her shoulder.

When Emily saw this, she couldn't help but want to follow them.

All of a sudden there was a noise. As she looked around, she saw a tall and straight figure standing next to the big tree.

Simon had already changed his surgical suit to a short grey charcoal jacket. At this time, he leaned lazily on the tree with one hand in her pocket, as if he had watched a good show for a long time.

It seemed that he had come with his elder brother, Adam, but she did not notice him just now.

When he held her hand, she was still gazing at the two figures, especially Adam's tensed muscles beneath the camouflage and his serious face...

She swallowed hard and asked worriedly, "Simon, will... your brother hit girls?"

"Sometimes!" Simon frowned.

"Ah?" Emily began to panic.

"Just kidding!" Simon's lips curled up when he saw that she was fooled. He pinched her face with his slender fingers and said lazily, "He is a soldier. Hitting a woman is against his principles. What's more, look at your friend, will she just stand still, waiting for the blow to fall?"

As he motioned by slightly raising his chin, Emily once again looked over.

Anthea was biting deep into Adam's arm like an enraged leopard. She was so fierce that Emily thought she would bite off a piece of his flesh. From afar, she could even feel his pain. However, Adam did not stop for a second.

In the night wind, Anthea's curses rang through the hospital. "Adam, let go of me! B*stard. You d*mn soldier. I'll inform your troops that you sexually assaulted me—"

Emily licked her lips embarrassedly. The only one who got injured now was Adam...

Watching Adam take Anthea away with an awkward posture, she thought that as a soldier, his elder brother was totally different from Simon and Wilson who always carried girls on their shoulders. Adam was not rude at all!

Then, she saw Adam carry Anthea on his shoulder...

Emily silently wiped her sweat.

Uh, no wonder they were brothers!

It was not until the two figures disappeared in her sight that her finally turned her head and asked, "Simon, are you done with your surgery?"

"Mn." Simon faintly smiled.

Emily said, being held by his big hand, "Then let's go home!"

They walked out from the park and made their way to the front of the hospital building. As soon as they entered the Cayenne and closed the door, the phone on the center console suddenly rang. Simon thought that there was an unexpected situation in the hospital, so he didn't think too much and directly answered it.

"Hello?"

He tilted his head to keep his cell phone steady and turned the steering wheel.

Hearing no sound on the line, Simon frowned. When he was about to hang up, he suddenly heard a panic female voice. "Simon, help-"

Simon immediately slammed on the brake.

Emily moved forward due to inertia. Luckily, he stretched out his long arm in time to protect her, so she didn't bump into her forehead.

When she sat back, she looked at him in confusion.

Because he answered the phone with his left hand, so she didn't hear any word. She could vaguely tell it's a woman's voice. At first, she thought the same as he did-a patient needed to be dealt with in the hospital.

"Simon, what's wrong?" Emily asked in confusion.

Simon put down the phone and said evenly with a serious look on his face, "It's Addy!"

As soon as he finished, the accelerator was stepped again, and the black Cayenne rushed out of the hospital like a rocket.

On the way, Simon told her that Addy called him for help, but he didn't know what happened. He guessed that it should be related to Sean...

Twenty minutes later, the Cayenne whipped into a parking space in front of a high-rise building.

This was the second time they came here. They looked at each other and walked into the building grimly.

As soon as they came out of the elevator, they heard a loud noise, which should be something hitting on the wall. Besides, they could hear a faint sound of breaking glass.

Simon walked faster than her. With just a few strides, he reached the door. The door was not locked, leaving a narrow gap. With a gentle pull, the door was open.

The lights inside were on, and the room reverberated with the noise.
